[Q] Change from blue to white theme - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if it's possible to change the standard holo blue that appears all over the jelly bean software. Obviously it'll work if I change to a kitkat rom, but I was wondering if it's possible to do it without changing anything else. More specifically, I want to be able to change the blue lines and text that appears on pop up menus and other places, like the one in the picture, from blue to white (like in Kitkat). I'm running the jelly bean carbon rom.
I did try searching for the answer, but to be honest, I don't even know how to word my problem to do a proper search. What is this blue theme called?

Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294419

I've played around with that before, but I never realized that I needed to change the primary text colour. Do you have any idea how I can change the quick settings tiles to the kitkat theme?

for white theme go Xblast>visual tweaks>holo theme>divider line color...select white there...
Are u on stock 4.3?? do u mean rearrange the small squires; add/remove/change the quick settings??
u can visit here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44803311&postcount=777

I'm on 4.3, and using carbon rom. I don't want to rearrange the tiles, I want to change the blue to white. I want it to be like the Kitkat quick settings colours.

xblast has this option too...download latest Xblast...
go Xblast>visual tweaks>Quick settings>tile icon colors.....set white..it works... u have to restart..

New notifcation bar

Is there anyway i can download/flash a new notification bar on my ROM from another ROM?
I am currently running Damage v4.6.
I got a black notification bar zip from someone a while ago that worked with WW I think, but it causes reboots on the CE based roms.
I'd also be interested to know if there's a way to switch the CE based roms. I haven't checked into the metamorph themes, just was looking a little bit this morning, but that may be an option.
You can MM a new notification bar if you want to with the CE roms. Or if you feel up to it, find one you like, pull the pngs from it, pull your framework-res.apk file, replace the pngs in it with the ones you want push it back to your phone and reboot.

Making a MM file to replace the color of task bar is like 4 or 5 pngs to replace. Very simple to do.

Blake Blader, i need to now is- if i port a rom from Tab and tab rom status bar (Systemui.apk) is below the screen (like in tab and if i based it to JB or custom roms... will it work without changing any build.prop ?
eg:- Changing Systemui.apk
Settings.apk from - Port- CM9 JB
-base- My JB
Will it Work Fine or else i have to change any other apk or scripts?
I think i will not work. 1. You cant port from a tab because of screen resolution difference (and i assume that tab have cpu armv7) so you cant port from it. 2. I think you will have to edit xml files to achieve bottom status bar. And its not on build prop (system UI of frame work i guess)
Ya....

Clock Widget is latest official widget of Android 4.4.4 stock firmware.
Font hasn't change anything.
Wasn't able to install the apk as is. Do I need to force it via command terminal? Unsure on stock non rooted z3 d6603.
Thank You
Edit: don't use the mediafire link, the megaupload link downloads the whole package.
Thanks for this, OP!

Did you check Unkown sources in Security section on Settings Menu?
it can install as normal apk.
I'd test this apk on D6603 at SONY Remote Device Lab, but I had no error.
Hello,
navkey is very nice !
but when I apply your theme, it change also colors from "Vintage" Theme : softkey background, statusbar background (black instead of grey), on/off switch colors in settings (blue instead of grey), names in message...
Is it possible to change ONLY navbar keys on Stock Vintage theme ?
Thanks

This theme changes navigationbar icons only, Xperia theme can not use other theme at the same time.
If you use Vintage theme and this navigationbar icon at the same time, you must replace navigationbar icons of Vintage theme's icon resources.

(Solved) Possible to change accent colors of the system UI?

Hey guys, as you know google is using a blue accent color for their system UI, sadly (IMO) essential is using a green accent and i would love to change this.
maybe someone knows how to change this accent color somewhere, maybe in the build prop or in the system.ui itself?
i attached a screenshot of which parts of the system ui i mean, its the notifcation area.
hoping for some usefull answers
EDIT: Simple as that, just use an substratum theme (pixel theme in my case)
Substratum works on 9?
Sai theme pie from telegram is the best subs theme
does it require root? In oreo Sai's theme worked without root.

Magisk and install the pixel experience module

Also note....don't build the initial Sai with Navigation selected. Do the Settings, quick settings, UI etc..but don't select Navigation..anytime I've done that, then rebooted the first time, bootloop.
Then, once you enable it in the manager, go back and select Navigation and build/enable it in the Themes section. Then, reboot and it will magically change you quick tile settings to the black/blue color. Found this method out experimenting, on the latest beta/build as well on Pie. You shouldn't have to go into Manager and select Navigation, it will be gold in color, different from the others, but it will be enabled and working on the quick tiles.
Good luck.
We have a mod coming out to change the accents..stay tuned
