Hi all, I think I'm in trouble!
I flashed KitKat (Poland) on my carrier locked note 3 N9005 since january and I had no trouble at all.
But since I did the OTA update to N9005XXUENB3 yesterday I just wont receive any call. People calling me hear the phone rings but in fact it's not
ringing at all.
I do not receive calls anymore but I can make phone calls.
I did some research and found out that I shouldn't have flashed the polish rom from the beginning since my note 3 is carrier locked.
But unfortunately I am not patient at all :laugh:
Does anyone encountered the same issue ? Is there a way to fix this without rooting ?

Buy an unlock code for your device to make it carrier free
EDIT: Unless there is a Firmware for your region/carrier out - if so, flash that

Thank you for your answer.
The thing is, if I wait a month from now I will be able to unlock it for free. I was looking for a faster alternative.
I guess I will have to wait for my carrier firmware.

I dawngrader has the version 4.2.2 and the problem is to remain the same
I returned to version 4.3 and it's always the same problem
the phone responds to calls alone.
so if anyone has ever had such a problem, I would be very grateful if sharing the solution with me

I'd like to know the process you used to upgrade from 4.2.2 to 4.3?
(and is it really worth it) I'm trying to get 4.3/4.4 roms on my mf3 build AT&T S4.

I downloaded the 4.3 version rogers the site samsung live update and I flashed with odin. after I did a restore with kies but it has nothing resolved.

Do you mean "simlocked" ? Which firmware is actually installed and in which country you want to use the phone?

Dear sir my phone is locked to SAUDI ARABIA mobile provider called MOBILY, i want to unlock it to use in sri lanka. When i put a sim that is curruntly use in sri lanka And when i turn on it ask "ENTER NETWORK UNLOCK CODE" with 2 buttons ok and dismiss.
I dismiss it and continue iam able to use phone and it shows full signal but no career name and emergency call only. When i make a call it shows not registerd on network. Plzz help me
Same problem here. I tried whole different ways including reflashing ROM but didn't work. Then I found Region unlock app by chainfire. It worked like a charm. Also you need to root your mobile first. Rooting method is somewhere in xda. Search it . Hope it helps.

Which means the attached image was my problem. I guess it is same as your problem. I simply don't know what is meant by "country locked or sim locked"

I live in Argentina and I see that the 2 Core Prime G360F for my kids purchased 3 days ago in parís, have the regional SIM block. The Fnac seler dont warned about this.
Now I see that on the lower side of the boxes has a warning on regional SIM lock. The solution of Samsung is to activate a 5 minute call with a European SIM. For me, it is a lote complicated from my country
I'm seeing that an application that unlocks it for Note 3 rooted. Somebody knows if esta apk with The G360F work?

Hello, i have the same problem, there phone Samsung sm g360f which is locked to the Portuguese operator = MEO, want to unlock all operators but I when I try to install software at the end of the process gives me an error that there is insufficient space to install the file. I can only install software that is MEO and those of Vodaphone gives me an error, whether 4.4.4 or 5.0.2
When give me error when I can only install this file (G360FXXU1AOB1_G360FBTU1AOD1_G360FXXU1AOB1_HOME.tar) for Downgrade and repear the smastphone. Pleace help me , I tried with all versions of Odin and it is not work it

try install true or custom firmware to fix problem, some firmware on samsung firmware site is lock and you must Buy country lock code from this site

I installed the region lock away 1.3, it didn't unlock my core prime (t-mobile) G360T. Any ideas or inputs highly appreciated.

So I was wondering if this is possible. My phone (A510F running lollipop 5.1.1) is locked to a carrier but I was planing on flashing an unbranded 6.0.1 (from Italy). Marshmallow will eventually come to my country but I just can`t wait anymore. Will flashing this firmware brick anything ?? I am well aware that the phone will remain locked to my carrier, since the lock has to do with the phone`s imei number, but is anything else going to be affected ? Anyone had a similar experience ? Your answers are really appreciated.
Bad idea, never flash unbranded firmware on a locked phone as it leads to all sorts of problems. Get turn phone unlocked first and then u can flash any firmware.

hey i got my note 4 (N910P) from Texas and brought it to my home country India so i just read the message but i wanted to confirm that if i flash my sprint note 4 (N910P) with a different country rom or any other rom then will it be causing any problem ? i have unlocked it but i am now facing the issues with the carrier featured applications so it is unlocked and ya of course i will keep the model no. in mind for finding the rom then it will be good to go right if i flash it with the same model no. the country doesn't matter ? also tell me how can i become sure of that it is unlocked

I bought my Galaxy S8 last year from BestBuy New York, and I need your help to figure out my issues:
- Is there a different between SM-G950U and SM-G950U1? My phone is SM-G950U1.
- I currently live in UK and till now I haven't received the last software update -Android Pie- that I'm supposed to get in late April! and have't received any security patches updates either!!
- Bixby voice is not working at all, it stopped working 4 months ago and I don't know why! I talked to Samsung US and Samsung UK and they have no clue, we tried many different way to fix it but we had no luck. I factory reset my device twice without any success either.
So please you're my last hope here to solve my issues. I'm ready to answer any questions that you might have in mind regarding my phone.

You can flash either firmware but you can get there latest for your model on sammobile or updato and flash with Odin

There's almost no chance you're going to find out why you're not getting updates. If your phone isn't updating automatically you can either download the entire latest firmware and flash it with Odin or go to firmware.science and download the individual OTA files then flash them in recovery manually one by one.

More than likely you don't have that original carrier sim in it. My Verizon phone won't get updated on my daughter's TracFone sim. But when i pop in the Verizon sim it updates

I know that if I come back to U.S and insert any SIM from any major mobile company it'll be updated immediately, however, when I was in Saudi Arabia - my home country - lat year, it updated to Oreo back then, so why I got the update while I'm in Saudi and not in UK?

Hi first post here but not a complete newbie. But this time I'm stuck big time and would appreciate some help.
I've got a s8 plus that recently started playing up. All of a sudden it started not being able to make or receive calls. But I noticed it only happened when the "conditional call forwarding active" message didn't appear when dialing. I figured it had something to do with call forwarding so try to change the settings on supplementary services settings but when I tried to enter the settings an error message appeared "failed to read data" I tried sending the code manually to cancel voice mail *#022# to see if it would work but I got "connection problem or invalid mmi code" so assumed it could be that the phone is trying to check with the network the forwarding settings as the call starts but for some reason it cannot communicate with it as the mmi codes don't seem to working?? (I'm not that knowledgeable in that area) I tried all the fixes online for the "connection problem or invalid mmi" but none work so I flashed the firmware through Odin even tried a few different ones, I've been playing around with Odin for a while so I'm comfortable with it, I even flashed a pit once for a note 4 that was bricked (just saying so you can see I'm comfortable with using it, not an expert just comfortable) but nothing has fixed my problem my phone is a g955fd running pie and one UI with the latest security update. I've read the duos have some issues with this. I've tried other sim cards on my phone from different carriers and the problem is the same and I'm using my sim on a borrowed phone and no problems. I'm assuming the problem goes deeper than the firmware, could this problem be boot loader related? Would a nand erase and reinstalling the boot loader fix it? Everything else works 100%
Someone please help me, the phone I'm borrowing is an apple and every day I have it I feel weaker and dumber, it's like kryptonite.
Sorry for the long post but I've been browsing xda forums for years and I know that you guys always say to share as much info as possible. By the way I've searched and couldn't find a thread about this but it there is one I promptly apologize and just ask for the link to it if not thanks in advanced.

As I said my s8 + is a duos g955fd variant and has an Exynos processor, I'm not sure that rooting it would make much of a difference, as to my understanding rooting doesn't really change the boot loader it just allows you to install a custom recovery and roms. Which is not much different to reflashing a stock rom for all intents and purposes , but I might give it a try anyway. I guess that maybe a rom like the one in the thread you shared might give me some more hidden codes access as a root but I'm not sure. I will try to find a root like it for my variant unless you know of one and can point me to it.

No solution so far. I've rooted the phone and install a couple of custom ROMs but still nothing. I'll try and roll back the firmware and see what happens. I'm no expert but I still think it is fixable. If I find a solution I'll post it on this thread. If you find one please share. My solution at the moment is getting a galaxy A50, very comparable performance with the S8 and really cheap.

I'll keep that in mind. Couple of things to note: I don't get the message conditional call forwarding active. I don't think I ever have.
I tried a different carrier SIM card(T-mobile) and it worked (I'm on At&t). I was able to make and receive calls. Even tried an out of country SIM card and received calls. But my At&t SIM works on other phones perfectly. Go figure lol.
The only other reason I can think of is maybe cos it fell a couple of times from the couch. About 1.5ft. New case kept making it slide off.
