If you can DL this to computer. Boot to download mode...from turned off device hold volume down and power then select yes by pushing up volume...then use odin to flash the mk2 tar...should be back to full stock unrooted

Which recovery do you have?

If you can get into dl mode, and hopefully you made a nandroid, flash this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40807244
As soon as it finishes, hold power, volume up, and home simultaneously to boot into recovery. That should get you out of the water
Edit: my fault, didnt read closely enough. If you have a microsd adapter for your computer, save a copy of the stock rooted on your sd card via your computer and try a new flash. Sounds like you may have gotten a bad download

You might want to try this one click of the stock image. Just run the program, put your phone in download mode and flash. I would recommend doing a full restore just in case http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.php?dir=Files/Devices/Samsung Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720)/Stock ROMs/MDC
Hello,
I accidentally pressed Format Data while I was on TWRP trying to wipe for a fresh install and now I can't get it to boot up. All i see is the Samsung Galaxy S4 boot animation and nothing more, Can anyone please help?
I think i screwed up my phone right?
Damn...
If you have a backup you should be able to restore your data

Just have to flash a rom if you don't have a back up

Hi I rooted my brothers Verizon Samsung Note 3 which was on 4.4.2 NC4, Installed the safestrap recovery and have setup Hyperdrive on rom slot 1. My problem is when I try to access the stock rom slot it hangs at the Verizon logo. I've pulled the battery and same result time after time. I flashed a prerooted de-odexed 4.4.2 nc4 stock rom to the stock slot and it still hangs at the Verizon screen. Today I tried to do a factory wipe on the stock rom slot to see if I could flash another rom to it and it said it could not mount /system and /systemorig. Can anyone provide some info as to how I go about fixing this so he can have his stock rom back? Thank you.
Odin back to a stock ROM, non-rooted. If you want to, you'll have to start the root process from scratch.

That's what I figured the answer would be. I do have a 4.4.2 NC4 non rooted stock to flash. Thank you for your help.

One thing you might try first. I don't know about your initial problem getting stuck at the boot screen. But I tried the other day to do a complete wipe and wound up with the "unable to mount" errors. I had to go into the Mount screen in safestrap and uncheck all boxes, then recheck everything. For some reason, I had to click the System box several times to get the checkmark to show up. Might be worth a shot. Helped me avoid the hassle of having to odin back to anything
When I setup the 1st custom rom on the sd card I accidentally did a full wipe and after that I've been getting unable to mount errors like you stated. I will try that this weekend when I see him. Thanks again for the help and I'll report back with the results.

Clicked system for 10 minutes and the check mark will not show up.

Sorry to hear that. I wish I knew more about the error. Or the "mounting process" that seems to have failed. It was only by luck that I figured it out on mine. I was already downloading the files to odin my phone back and start over when I lucked out. Figured I would pass it along before you had to lose all you had done. But I'm not sure what else you can do at this point. Maybe someone else will chime in.
I was able to successfully recover from a "hang at the Verizon logo" soft-brick on my NC4 4.4.2 Note 3 by following the directions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483380 It seems like it might be worth a shot.
I tried flashing 4.4.2 NC4 non rooted and now it just hangs at the Verizon screen. When it boots up it still shows the custom logo under the Samsung Note III logo as well. What can i do or is it time to get a new phone? Thanks.

i'm having all the same issues you are... I cant even install new custom modified or non note 3 apks... you may have to factory reset one more time after ODIN.
I can't even get into recovery to factory reset it. We destroyed it. Lol. Just going to buy a new phone.

Replaced the phone but I'd still like to see if I can fix this one.
Does anyone have a prerooted 4.4.2 NC4 tar.md5 or other tar.md5 that I could flash in Odin? I have tried the stock 4.4.2 NC4 tar.md5 and it still just hangs at the Verizon screen and it just reboots when I try to enter recovery to factory wipe it. I have the 32g pit file already. Thanks.

I need to send my device (ATT galaxy s4) back to Asurion. I already received the new one. The problem is the screen is burned out. Not from a drop or anything, just simply burned out. Will I get into trouble for sending it back rooted? Will they see it being that the screen doesn't work? How can I return it to stock without having access to the screen?
You can attempt to get it in download mode and use Odin to flash the stock firmware. If Odin recognizes the device you're probably I'm download mode

Thank you! I ended up doing this about 5 minutes after I made the post but I couldn't figure out how to delete the post.
Rooted a friends note 3 so he could be free from lock down and now he wants the note 4. Tried to unroot it by using the feature in supersu and uninstalled safestrap and when i went to show him how to wipe it in stock recovery it wouldn't go to the recovery. Trying to avoid using a computer if possible and Odin back. Anything I can do?

OK I think I know why I couldn't get into stock recovery but I have another question. Is unrooting using supersu and wiping data and factory reset good enough to send the phone back in for trade if I didn't install any roms just rooted or will I need to Odin back to stock?

I generally find that it is easiest to use Odin and the stock firmware (make sure it is the right firmware for the version of android that is on the phone). It will remove root and put the phone back to the condition it was in when it was purchased.
OK so I used Odin and got his phone back to stock but it seemed to have deleted every photo he has taken in the past 5 months. Does anyone know of a way to get them back without having to root his phone again?
