Hey guys, I tried to disable the on screen buttons by adding the qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 flag to build.prop but after restarting System UI just crashes constantly. Is there something I'm missing?
I downgraded from 4.4 to 4.2.2 if that makes any difference.
No one knows anything? Can someone at least help me to restore build.prop as adb isn't connecting to the device and the ridiculous error box opens every second and doesn't allow me to do anything. Absolutely asinine the way Google designed this crap.
/edit
Nevermind, usb debugging disabled itself for some reason. I then had to remount /system/ as rw. Still, no one has come across this before?
Undo what you did and download the Xposed framework and the gravitybox module, than profit

Saw something somewhere that systemui crashes when you disable nab bar. Instead you can us gravity box to make it zero height.

Gravity box can add expanded desktop to power menu, so you can toggle it on or off. (The nav bar)
I keep it off to use LMT ...but if I need the navigation bar back...its just a power button and click away.

If you enable expanded desktop mode (in the power menu) you should automatically get Pie controls. I don't know if there's a way you can have them while the softkeys are on but then again I don't see why you'd need them .
If you want the pie controls but still want your notification shade, check out this video (and subscribe to the guy too, he deserves it).
Enable expanded desktop (by long pressing power), it's "always enabled"
I did just find it....was googling....thanks very much for that

Pie will start working when there is no nav bar. Whether you achieve this by enabling Expanded Desktop or by changing nav bar to 0 dpi is up to you.
People won't thank anymore, eh..

Have you done this? I tried adding that line to my bulid.prop, but it had no effect. Reset the phone and still had a navbar. I know he was doing this on stock and I'm on PA3. Would that make a difference? Any ideas?

Set nav bar to 0 dpi in settings. It's built into PA.

Yes, Q Slide would be nice if you could put a flashlight in there, or something like that even though a whole other row of crap isn't needed. The main mod I would like is flashlight from the lock screen. Had it built into BAMF for my Nexus... so convenient.

Can't you do this already? Download an app like Flashlight - which gives you the ability to have a widget for a simple flashlight. Press once to turn on, again to turn off. Then, swipe left from the lock screen until you get the + Tap to add Widget, and add this flashlight widget.

Are you talking about Qslide or the lock screen? I was answering the person asking about flashlight from the lock screen, which I was able to do using the procedure I said above.

Waiting for your progress, bro
Well, I think you should resize the apps, that you want to have in QSlide, also.
Has anyone been able to do this? I'd like to replace the Email button with Aquamail. And a few others.
Trying
I have been trying to get more support for extra qslide apps so far i haven't been able to get what i need, but i will continue to try. it may have to be put into an xpoosed module is what i'm thinking

Hi,
i'm having a nexus 4 with android 4.3 stock rom, rooted and installed xposed framework. is there any way or app to block certain apps from displaying notification. Apps like BBM, Twilight have an always persisting notification which i can't dismiss. Even after going to App Info and unchecking the Show Notification option these notifications come up again.
TIA,
Vignesh
Download Gravity Box from within Xposed framework(Under Downloads). After you've downloaded the module, go under "Statusbar Tweaks ", when you scroll down you'll see "ongoing notification blocker. " You'll be able to pick and choose which notifications are displayed. You have to reboot in order for the changes to take effect.

In bbm you can remove the permanent notification from bbm setting...
it worked..

Thanks. That worked like a charm.
Go to Settings>Apps
Then look for the app and click on it, below the name you will see a checkbox "show notifications". Unckek-it.

hi. so is there any way to auto hide the navigation buttons with no root?
If you're running 4.4 and an app allows immersive mode, then the nav bar will hide. Otherwise, no, you have to be rooted then install something like gravity box and enable expandable desktop.

i have a streaming app that doesn't work with rooted devices! this is my problem with root!
Being rooted has so many benefits though. There's a xposed module called rootcloak which hides root from certain apps, allowing them to work.

i can't understand why google doesn't add a minimize button next to 3 icons of navigation!
Rooted g2. Here, 4.4.2
Xposed module g2
Navigation bar disabled
LMT is on
Now the question, when i choose pie control area to bottom, i cant activate it easily cz the drag up or swipe up from down screen activate the quick memo.
I want to use LMT from the bottom not right or left. I 'll need to set the thickness area to a very high value to make it works. Is there a way to disable this "drag up " thing?
Use this module!
