Yes, Q Slide would be nice if you could put a flashlight in there, or something like that even though a whole other row of crap isn't needed. The main mod I would like is flashlight from the lock screen. Had it built into BAMF for my Nexus... so convenient.

Can't you do this already? Download an app like Flashlight - which gives you the ability to have a widget for a simple flashlight. Press once to turn on, again to turn off. Then, swipe left from the lock screen until you get the + Tap to add Widget, and add this flashlight widget.

Are you talking about Qslide or the lock screen? I was answering the person asking about flashlight from the lock screen, which I was able to do using the procedure I said above.

Waiting for your progress, bro

Well, I think you should resize the apps, that you want to have in QSlide, also.

Has anyone been able to do this? I'd like to replace the Email button with Aquamail. And a few others.

Trying
I have been trying to get more support for extra qslide apps so far i haven't been able to get what i need, but i will continue to try. it may have to be put into an xpoosed module is what i'm thinking

[Q] Always go to homescreen with no lockscreen

I don't like to have a lockscreen. Instead, I like to use my homescreen as a lockscreen (in the sense that it displays the time and notifications). However, when you disable the lockscreen, whenever you wake your phone you go to wherever you left off, in the browser for example. Are there any roms or mods that send you to the homescreen whenever you wake your phone without lockscreen? Or could this easily be made, if it doesnt exist already?
CM10.1 has this (I suggest downloading Jellybro, unofficial kang... more features, same stability)
go into settings -> lock screen -> security -> go from "Slide" to "None"

Doesn't that keep the lockscreen but just get rid of any security needed to unlock the phone?
Edit: Never mind. Lol.

It disables the lock screen completely. If you turn the phone screen off in the middle of a browser, and turn it back on. It shows up at the browser. If u screen off at youtube, turns on at youtube. I just tried it on my phone before replying.

Thanks for your reply, but that's exactly what I don't want.
Actually, stock can do this too. But I want it to return to my homescreen automatically when I wake my device, not where I left off. Would this be possible with Tasker maybe?

Not sure why you would want that to happen. Don't use Tasker so I don't know.
Seems like you're making your life more complicated for no reason. It logically doesn't make any sense why you wouldn't want your phone screen to turn on at the spot you last left on.

I see it this way: I use my lockscreen to quickly see the time, date and notifications. When I actually want to use my device, I have to make one gesture (slide or whatever). So why not completely remove the lockscreen, and let me go to the homescreen instead, so I can use that as a sort of "lockscreen"? That way I don't have to make that extra unlock gesture. On my homescreen I also have the time, date and notifications, so a lockscreen is kind of pointless. But turning on at the spot I left off is not what I want, because that way I won't be able to see time, date and notifications or whatever I have on my lockscreen/homescreen now (yes, I know I can see those things in the notifications bar, but it's just an example).

First off. The solution I mentioned above fully disables the lock screen. Meaning you won't have to do a gesture to unlock the phone in the first place.
Secondly, the time is always on the top right side. Depending what rom you have, you may also have the ability to add the day of the week there. Notifications is on the pull down, the date and the day of the week is also present there so there's no reason why you need to always know that kind of information every part of the day as people do turn on and turn off their screen many times during the day.

I know. I know how to disable the lockscreen. This is even possible with vanilla Android.
Like I said, I know those things are possible to put in my notification bar, but let's say I want to see things every time I turn on my device that are NOT possible to put in my notification bar.
The reason that I want this isn't even important. I just don't want to do that gesture every time I turn the screen on, but I do want to see widgets, clocks, notifications, WHATEVER, like I would have seen on my lockscreen. For this, I can use the homescreen, but only if it goes to the homescreen every time I turn the screen on.

In my eyes it does make sense. I want my homescreen to replace the lockscreen. My homescreen looks exactly the same as my lockscreen does. By disabling the lockscreen and going directly to the homescreen, I don't have to make the unlock gesture, which is what I want.
I just think it makes no sense to have a lockscreen if you have exactly the same content on your homescreen. So, why not save that extra unlock gesture and go directly to the homescreen?
I will look into Tasker to see if it's possible. I can't be the only one that wants this.
I made a tasker profile that does this. Just disable the lock screen and use this profile.

How can I TOTALLY get rid of the annoying text message lock screen widget?!?!

You know how when you receive a text message and your phone is locked and sleeping... when you wake your phone the first screen you see is the lock screen widget of the person's name that sent you the message and also part of the text message as well. How the hell can I totally get rid of this?? It's veryy annoying and I'd like to use DashClock to view who texted me, not that. Thanks!
EDIT: Attached screenshot of what I am talking about.

That's what I thought too until I realized that I wasn't using any of Samsung's gimmicky add-ons. To each his own, I guess.
For what it's worth, if you click the notification and then swipe in the unlock area like normal, it'll take you right to the app with the notification. I found that out through trial and error.

This may not be what you are looking for, but I use SMS Popup for my notifications and turn off the notifications on the sms app itself. I do not get the notice on the lock screen. So I am thinking there is something in the stock SMS app that makes it show on the lockscreen. So if you any other app to get the notification this would remove it from the lockscreen. I don't know if you want to add another app to your phone to get a notification or not just to get rid of the lock screen.
I like SMS Popup because I like the pop-up message that I can reply to, however you can turn that off and just get the normal notification. I also like that I can assign a different ringtone and LED notifications to a contacts so I can know who is texting me.

What's "tap tap" ? Knock On? It works fine on various ROMs. And Knock-Off only works in the launcher or status bar on the stock ROM anyway.
My solution? Knock On and use AOKP and put a power button on my navbar. So I can turn on and turn off from the screen (in any app).

Why don't you just download a screen off app like this, Nova or Apex and set double tap gesture to launch screen off. It will be pretty much the same as the stock knock off feature.

When you are on the apex (or nova) launcher, yes. You might have to set the double tap gesture as a shortcut rather than the app itself for it to properly function.

Did you download a "screen off" app from the play store and activate it? There are a couple of them. What I am saying is that you might have to shortcut one of the apps actions in order to get it to work. If you just set the app to the gesture you'll end up opening the settings.

Confirmed working. Thank you
There are SEVERAL SOLUTIONS for this:
1. On AOSP/CM11 Roms, Knock ON will always work. It is a kernel feature and is not new. Custom Kernels have been doing this for a long time. So KnockOn is taken care of.
KnockOff Talk:
2. Purchase a Launcher that supports Double Tap such as Nova Prime. Download a Free app that locks the screen. Set Nova Double Tab to launch the ScreenLocker. Boom.
OR
3. Install LG Home Launcher that has this built in. Boom.
4. Find the AOSP KnockOff StatusBar mod in the forums. This gives the ability to DoubleTap the status bar in any app, just like LG does.
The Launcher is a different issue for KnockOff. I've never looked into it, but you'd need a lockscreen that supports double tap and launching of apps while locked. Another solution would be to try to find the LG Lockscreen app or have your favorite Dev try to port it over. IMO I really love the LG Lockscreen since you can swipe anywhere on the screen to unlock and assign quick shortcuts. Also the ability to assign a custom lockscreen wallpaper. LG Lockscreen > AOSP Lockscreen IMO.
But even with Nova Double Tap > Launch Screen Locker... that gets you 90% of the way there. Lockscreen and Status bar are just extras.

Or use gravity box
Wait, what's this? You can do this with an Xposed Module? -__- I did not know...
Hi Justinchi just a quick question since i don't have my Note 10.1 right now, will doing this mod show an option on the lockscreen settings where you would enable the Multiple lockscreen widget first? thanks

No, it doesn't add anything to settings. It automatically enables multiple widgets on lockscreen.

I tried it also but unfortunately it does not work on Gnabo.v3
Am I missing something?

Hmm, did you use the exact same SQLite app that I linked above?
Also, I believe Gnabo ROM v3 automatically includes multiple lockscreen widgets if I read the changelog properly.

V 3 IS ONLINE
MAKE A FULL WIPE FIRST !
Changelog :
Rebased on the official release N8000XXUDNE4
Moved S-Note to the /system partition
Reintegrated Allshare files (tell me if it's working now)
Patched lib to make Screen Mirroring and AllShare working even with custom ROM (tell me if it's working now)
thanks to @vickoc
New Wallpaper chooser with new sammy wallpapers
Accuweather Widget from Tab 4
Removed KitKat limitations for external sdcard
Ported smartscreen options (scroll, rotation, pause). Smartscroll and smartpause don't work at the moment (unlikely to be fixed because they are stupid features and don't work fine even in new devices)
Multiple Widgets in Lockscreen
Note 2014 settings layout
S5 Myfiles with search feature instead of Note 2014 Myfiles
Removed AirCommand shortcut app
Setted AirCommand on Pen Detachment by default
Bugs :
FC if trying to set a wallpaper for lockscreen or for both home and lockscreen. Do it from gallery.
Also please read :
I spent a lot of time to reintegrate all these features that sammy removed. If you are enjoying this ROM then please donate not to me, but to @Arsaw, who is the mind of this project. I don't want 1, 2, 5 or 10 coffes for me, but for him.
I don't think 0.5 or 1 euro will change your life but I am quite sure it will induce him to continue helping me porting things as he's doing now.
I am confident you will do that guys. You can donate here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/donatetome.php?u=3417326.
I would really appreciate this.
Thanks

Yes I did use the exact same application and the exact same steps that it was on the video.
V3 includes onle support for showing only the clock or the clock + some custom text, not really lockscreen widgets.

You may have to help him out a little to find what's going wrong.

I am not sure I understand, what do you mean? How can I do this?
I have done the changes and then in the lockscreen I am trying to swipe to see the "+" but I am not able to do so? Any ideas?

Need flashlight ap

Hello I had to use Odin to reflash my phone due to making a mistake
. For whatever reason after rooting and using waman I noticed the flashlight app was missing. If anyone can provide it for me I would greatly appreciate it.
There isn't a flashlight app only a flashlight widget.

I use the Xposed module 'Xposed Torch.' I like it since from the lock screen I can turn it on by long pressing volume up (or home button if you want). No app or widget to put on my home screen. btw, its from Wanam too.

Thank you I can't believe I forgot it was a widget. For some reason the waman flashlight mod was not working. It would keep crashing, eventually after a few reboots the settings for that particular mod would actually load. Everything works now. Thank you for the response to what is now a silly question.
