Hey guys,
I installed the new Omnirom 4.4.2 on my I9100 few hours back, it looks great. but the only issue i'm being annoyed by is the Keyboard Vibration, when i type any text it vibrates, 100 alphabets 100 vibrations..
check the Keyboard and Input setting, but there is nothing like shutting this vibration off,
please tell me if i'm missing something as this vibration is driving me nuts.
Normaly, you should have something like : -> Settings -> Language and Input
Once in there, click the settings icon next to your default keyboard and uncheck the "Vibrate on key press" option.
Try going to Settings/Sound and uncheck the box that says 'Vibrate on touch'.
^ Yeah, probably this.
Solved, it wasn't there in input setting,
i found it here
Messages -> open keyboard -> setting (long pressing the full top button (..) -> Uncheck the box Vibrate on Keypress
Done.!
But my battery timing is worst. i've to charge my I9100 twice a day!

Morning All,
I've searched for this - but can't find anything.
I do quite alot of texting, and find the phone pad input with t9 predictive text best most of the time. But that awful tone it outputs on every button press is driving me mad! Does anyone know how to turn it off?
I'm guessing it must be a registry setting somewhere?
Or even better still. Anyone know of any third party phone style keyboard inputs which support predictive text, but with bigger buttons (which you can turn off tones!) which I could use instead.
I really miss being able to do easy one handed texting, and would love an easier input method....
Thanks,
Paul
On any form of input, click on the little 'up arrow' (e.g. the one which lets you choose the input methods that you wanted to use). Among the list, like "Keyboard", "Block Recognizer", there is an "Options..." at the top. Choose it.
Then, choose the keypad input method at "Input method:" and click on the "Options..." just at the bottom. Uncheck the "Turn on screen tap sound".
Actually I find that useful. Difficult to know if you have pressed the right button on a flat screen without tapping sounds.
Fantastic!
So obvious - now I feel silly for not noticing the options option
Here you go
Setting -> Menu -> All Settings -> Personal -> Phone -> Keypad: Off.
Have fun
Settings > System > Sounds - Turn key clicks off.
hey does anyone know how to stop the keyboard from vibrating whenever you click on the letters to type? im currently using the energyrom from nrg.
Settings - Input - Options - untick Vibrate When Keys Are Pressed
I have tried to explore the phone so as to disable the vibration when typing messages, however, i could not find anything that says "switched Off vibration". i am just wondering is it even possible to OFF the vibration while typing?
_desperate for an answer_
menu button --> settings --> language & keyboard --> touch input --> text input --> "vibrate when typing" --> DONE!
does someone knows how to turn off vibrations while typing a message?
you'll need to go into the settings of the particular keyboard you're using. If you're using swype, then go to Settings > Language and keyboard > Vibrate on keypress. Check that off and you're good.
you can also uncheck the section under Settings > Sound > Vibrate feedback.
Hi,
since a couple of days, I have this problem with my Yoga book:
- Halo (= hardware) keyboard is active and lit up
- when I enter a text input field in any app (Firefox...), the onscreen keyboard will pop up.
- as soon as I start typing on the Halo keyboard, the onscreen keyboard will disappear
- but the first typed letter will - most of the time - be missing in my text
Expected behaviour: no onscreen keyboard will pop up if I have hw keyboard activated.
How can I fix this?
What are the proper settings in the keyboard settings menu?
Is there any other setting I might have missed?
Brgds
Ulu
hey, i'm not familiar with the settings in English...but let's try...
try to uncheck 'show input method' at the bottom of the menu where you can switch between the keybords.
if i have it checked, the onscreen keyboard pops up. if not, nothing comes.
unfortunately, i have the same annoying 'bug' that quite often the first keystroke on the halo keyboard isn't recognized.
This did solve my problem!
