hello fellow razr hd users..
i've found a simple fix to the hissing sound that comes with a video recording.
just go to settings in the camcorder >> more options ! and just change the audio codec to "AMR-NB" !
viola.. problem solved.
please comment if it worked for you..
thanks.
I don't have that option, what rom or version on Android you running?

he probably refers to cm11, 4.4 ROM.
Using the low-fi AMR-NB audio compression that by design reproduces only 200–3400 Hz will indeed eliminate the high frequency noise from recordings. But it's not much of a solution. Applying a low pass EQ during playback of the AAC recording would provide you with much better results...
Motorola Razr
Hi, thanks!. It worked instantaneously after weeks of frustration ,
Cheers,

Hello,
This is a sample video made with the CyanogenMod 6.1.3 v61 by WolfBreak. I thought, many people have no faith in the camera so I wanted to convince them there is nothing wrong with it. Quality is not as good as on 2.1, but it's fine to live with right?
That's it. In part 2 of the video you can notice some lagg in recording at almost the end.
i am not able to watch your video now, but from my experience i think x10 dont have enough process power to record 720p, it never been smooth. or perhaps i didnt utilize well.

How about giving us some more video that has audio playback. Last time i used wolfs rom or any 2.2 custom rom the audio playback was extremely low and not usable.

Excellent! I didn't know about that.
I just loaded WB's ROM and it runs well. My 720P video playback is pretty choppy. While it's recording, everything seems smooth. I've tried playback on the phone and PC.

I had tried most of the volume booster apps while 4.2.1 but none works. I am currently using Noozxoide on 4.2.2 but not significant increase. Using BSPlayer for video watching 720p or 1080p. Volume is quite low even on highest.
Since my main use for Nexus 10 is video watching while away from home, I would like advice from XDA community please.
All advice would be very appreciated

I saw the paid version of BSPlayer allows you to boost the sound up to 500%. I haven't tried it myself but I also found the volume is a little on the low side.
Try MX player, when you set the audio from hardware to software mode you can boost the volume higher than 100%

If you habe se problems with playing video files with DTS sound, you can enable an external codec in the options, ffmpeg.so. You can find it easily on Google and put in on the Nexus

Looks too complicated to install
It's not complicated but you have to be rooted. It does work brilliantly then. I just installed it myself.
It does seem complicated but you install it like any app so it's actually easy.

I tried recording some video and found the audio quality quite bad....The highs are not clear and the lows are muffled...
Is this due to it may be recording in 22 kHz or something and if this is so...where to change it ? A setting file or does it need the camera app to be modified. ?

Ok so I was using the camera yesterday and decided to test the slow motion feature which looks awesome. The only thing wrong was that there was no sound during playback. Can anyone confirm this or test it?
Cheers

Can you upload the video to YouTube and post a link to it?
Nexus ONE
Hi !
Before being a gardener, I was a cameraman and as far I remember, there was no sound in slow-mo shoots. In my experience, even in an video editoring software (sorry, maybe I speak English with my french thoughts), when you change a regular motion into a slow one the sound disappears because of the time expansion - then you can put it back and stretch it, etc.
Sure, did another one just now, simple ball falling! Quality isn't that great but still no sound

I am using omega rom 2.1 btw

Hey man, thanks for the input! The reason I asked is because my lil bro has an icrap and he was showing off his slow motion so I decided to fiddle with the note to see what it could do. The end result is a better video shot but no audio. Iphone had a quicker framerate, so not as slow as the gn3 but it also had audio.

Tell your brother that's not "professional" to have both audio and video shooted in slow-mo at the same time !
Haha, I know! Still looks cool tho. Need people to have a look and see of its available to have both together! Plus everything sounds so much funnier in slow motion!

I tried and I get no sound on slow motion videos. So it will make your brother and his ''phone'' treat you as a joke, you and your ennemy's device... for a looooong time !
Like we say in France : Courage !

I'm sure you "can" hack it to allow sound. Why would you want sound in slow mo though? It is choppy since its recorded in real time then slowed.
No Sound!?

If you are rooted, and that is easy to do by the way, then I recommend Viper XHifi. Has made a massive difference for me, far better with it on this phone and my nexus 4.
There is also another Viper mod, that does more effects for the music too. Forgot it's name.
Run viper4android and you'll never look back. Amazing sound mod

o you mean the phone speakers? The main xda thread about the app has a link to the recommended settings for headphones & speakers etc.
I only use the headphone setting as don't listen to music without earphones on it.
