Hi I just wanted to sternly warn my note 3 users that you should not install Beep'nGo and if you have installed it do not I repeat do not uninstall it ! because I accidentally uninstalled it and guess what my android os crashed ! I had no choice but to do a reset from recovery (yes my knox is still 0x0).

Hi Guys,
I rooted my Samsung S4 (GT-9505) using motochopper, but since discovered some of my apps don't work with a rooted device.
I would like to unroot it back to factory settings.
What do I need to do? Is it a case of downloading an official ROM and using ODIN to flash the official bios back on?
I have reset the counter with TRIANGLE but my device status is still 'custom' and not official.
Is there a simple way of removing the root that motochopper adds or is an official ROM the only way?
Im in the UK and would like to flash to the latest Vodafone ROM and unrooted as new.
Many thanks
First of all, there's no app that would stop working because of a rooted device. Rooting just gains you administrator privileges, nothing more, nothing less. And yes, the best way to unroot and get the official status back is to download and flash an official rom through Odin.

Many thanks for your reply,
Unfortunatly your wrong there, Barclays PingIt (my bank account) knows when a phone has been rooted and displays an error page saying its breaching security and stops the app from working!! Crazy I know.
You can uninstall super su then reboot the phone.
You can get instructions from the Exynos Abuse thread by chainfire. It's at the bottom.

Hello there
I found that flixster wouldn't stream ultraviolet movies with root. I did find that using voodoo ota root keeper from play store helps that. Click on temp unroot, then when you've finished using that app that doesn't allow root, restore root. Unsure that this will work for you, but no harm in trying.

I used this guide and it worked quite well. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477

Hi,
I am waiting for note 3 to arrive. Ordered by my company.
I have a S2 now and have flashed many roms and was always rooted.
Now I run stock rom rooted only to freeze apps.
Having read a lot about knox and its warranty void, I wonder do I need root just to freeze apps? Can it be done without root?
EJ

No you can not freeze apps on a non root device but if it is a company phone you need to talk to your it-manager if you are allowed to do so. For Security reasons
Thx.
My company is real easy bout this stuff. Dont have clue what root is.
Anyway I thought apps can be turned off on 4.3? Through the apps manager?

Running stock 4.3 MK9, bootloader MJ5.
Experienced at least 10 times, that root is suddenly lost on reboot.
Have to reroot with CWM.
Any ideas to why this is happening?
Knox disabled.

root, than convert supersu as system app
also try to delete all knox files ; read here
Thanks for replying..
Already installed as system app.
Knox completely disabled with TB, but not deleted..
Strange thing is that it happened a lot one month ago after upgrade to 4.3, then worked fine for a long time, now happened twice in two days..

try to root using dr.ketan multitool
Hmm, still not solved, and actually getting worse, now I loose root quite often on reboot, not every time however..
Supersu is kept, but reports binary missing.
Rerooting with cwm/philz, but this also only occasionally works, sometimes having to reroot 4 times to get it to work.
When succesfully rooted, supersu installed as system app, but does not help..
Cannot get drketans multitool working - hangs after pressing next (sometimes before that).
Edit: got multitool basic to work, advance version crashes, but the basic version works. Rooting with this did not work however, still missing binary on reboot.
Any suggestions to what could be the culpritt here?

Okay so, different rom, same bootloader.
Do you use any of the following: avast antivirus, wanam xposed module, afwall+ ?
Have you frozen or deleted knox?
Using philz recovery?
Mine did not really do this until after having installed mj5 bootloader, but with the old 4.1.2 bootloader I experienced a lot of sudden reboots and force closes.
Dont know if it could be the bootloader causing the root problem. Or knox still doing something at boot?

You know probably 2 minutes searching for an answer will tell you which apps you can remove, I know this because I've answered this question several times now...
That being said look at the second link for this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2732110 it has the apps that can be added back, so you could remove all of those.

I recently rooted my note 3 with the towelroot method and installed exposed framework and just a couple of modules. Today I went to use my pen and it made its noise coming out and brought up the menu on the screen but we'll not do anything beyond that. I've checked all the setting and they seem to be correct and none of the modules I've unstapled has anything to do with the pen that I know of. Anybody have any suggestions. Could it have been the root process or just me over looking something. Thanks for any help. Jesse

What do you mean by "modules I've unstapled"? Uninstalled? If the pen worked fine before rooting, then I'd go back to stock and start over again step by step. Stock - check, root - check, module uninstall - check...
uninstalled is what I meant. I ended up factory resetting and going through the root process first before reloading all the apps and it's working as it should now. Not sure what caused it and don't really care now that it's working again. Thanks anyway and I will try to work on my spelling some. Jesse
