Hi guys
Some help please.
I am returning my s4 to stock due to a dodgy home button and I have run triangle away, flashed a stock ROM
the current binary is Samsung Official &
System Status is Official.
All the counters are set to 0x0
which is great.
The problem is the phone does not boot, it stays stuck at the boot screen.
I've tried to boot into the official recovery to reformat the phone, but I can;t get into the recovery either.
Any help is appreciated!
Cheers

Hi,
The way I get into recovery is:
1.remove the battery
2.replace the battery
3.hold volume up + power button
4.as soon as you see the blue writing in the top corner , let go of everything and tap the volume down button.

- Point n° 3 procedure IS ONLY FOR I9505 (qualcomm)
in case of I9500 (sammy core) the 3 buttons combo is the only way to get recovery or downlad mode.
The Op didn't state about his S4 model.
Cheers guys
3 button combo worked on i9505

I tryed to rewrite the omega rom from my pc but odin dont let me . Also when i try to use the recovery mode ( volume up-home button-power key) there are no options for wipe data factory reset etc
any help would be apreciated

Just curious why you are asking a question about a i9505 device here?
Anyway, are you saying it can NOT get into recovery at all? or you can get into recovery and there is no options.

Are you sure you're not talking about download mode? (vol down + home + power)
Recovery mode is vol up + home + power. Release just the power button when the phone vibrates

yes download is fine
in recovery are not any options
You have 2 options, get into some type of recovery, or ODIN back to stock. and that will require some reading to get that up and running...try here first.
You will need to post in your i9505 forum about this issue where to find original stock image, I looked there, but didn't see anything right off the bat.
god luck sir.
I have a I9505 which had 4.2.2 version. Then, I have rooted it and installed Teamwin Recovery. I had this for almost 1 year; some weeks ago, I decided to upgrade it to 4.4.2 kitkat.
Then, I flashed the full stock ROM (I9505_ZTO_GHI2) got from Sammobile. After this, I realised that I don´t get to access recovery mode anymore. It´s not a volume button issue, since when I press the 3 buttons together (vol up + home + power) and keep them pressed for some seconds, I can see a small "recovery mode" or something similar in the display in blue color, but then, when I release the buttons, it boots in normal mode.
On the other hand, I get to access download mode normally (vol down + home + power).
How can I solve this??

Well you dont have to keep the buttons pressed.
When you press the Volume up+center button+Power button.
Release them when the phone starts and shows the Samsung i9505 screen.
In a fraction of a second press the volume up and center button for a longer duration and you'll see the recovery.
For the blue screen you're talking about, it is the stock recovery (samsung stock recovery)

Anytime mate!
But remember..now you have A Knox enabled bootloader. So flashing anything custom (recovery/rom) will trip it to 0x1 and it cannot be set to 0 again.
Tripping the KNOX counter is considered to be a void warranty signal in some countries.
But as I read, your phone is a year old..flash that thing and make it awesome
But still there are ways in the i9505 to flash custom roms without tripping knox.
Happy flashing

So my phone is bootlooping whenever my battery is attached. I can't go into recovery mode nor download mode. I try to push the combo buttons and the yellow triangle comes up. But when I push the vol up button it didn't load to download mode and keep rebooting. Help?
This happened after i flashed the new 5.0.1 Lollipop OS and try to put CWM recovery.

I am having the same problem. Is there a way to definitely know if the power button is the issue?

If you have the same symptons then it's your powerbutton.
I have a Samsung galaxy note 4 with stock android. My phone shut itself off while I was listening to pandora, and when I tried to turn it back on, it got stuck rebooting.
It gets to the Samsung splash screen, and no further. Even when I try to enter recovery mode using volume up + power + home, the splash screen appears with 'RECOVERY BOOTING..." in the corner, but it just reboots again.
I have tried turning the phone off completely using the power button, then turning it on again. I have tried removing the battery, letting it sit, and trying to restart again. I have tried charging it to see if that was the problem, but it's not. If I use volume down + power + home, I can get to the custom OS options, but I have not rooted my phone, so I don't know what the 'continue' options does.
How can I get my phone working again?
Turn off the phone. Enter download mode instead of recovery (volume down + home button + power) and open Odin on your PC and under AP add your .tar file (via Sammobile) and hit OK in order to get stock Touchwiz on your Note 4 again.

hi
firstly ,
If you cannot "factory reset " in recovery ....then and if nothing else works ? and you don't want to take phone to service provider /Samsung service centre .............
last resort is to( but you have to know what you doing !!!!)
is to reflash your device /phone current stock ROM,(that you were on),with Odin /pc..laptop
If you are unsure "how to flash ?" i suggest to Google /search for an straight forward video ,on web /Youtube ?
if so and you can get into download mode ( phone off ,pull battery..... insert battery , volume down + power + home button ) When in download mode ,volume up again and follow normal procedure to flash your stock ROM with Odin
Remember ..that above to flash stock Rom with Odin ,you don't need root.
Also ,in your post above you refer i quote......
"I can get to the custom OS options, but I have not rooted my phone, so I don't know what the 'continue' options does"
i think what you actually mean that you can get into download mode ,???...................
and the volume up is when you" ready " to flash your device and connected to pc/laptop with Odin ...
Also make sure if you know how to reflash ..... that before reflashing with Odin ,you have ticked correct boxes in Odin( .....and how Odin works )
Bottom line ...if nothing else works ,
a reflash of your correct phone ( current stock ) Rom you were on ,should fix it .
good luck
Hi, I have a Galaxy S4 i9505 running TWRP 3.0.2-0 jfltexx. I am having a problem where TWRP won't boot up when using the key combination of Volume UP + Home + Power, it will show up with the Galaxy S4 screen then at the top left corner it will show kernel not seandroid enforcing, recovery booting. Then it will boot to a black screen and then after 3 seconds it will vibrate and boot into android like it normally does. However on Flashify (Android App for flashing) I click the 'Reboot to Recovery' Button it boots into TWRP and it runs like a charm.
Android is running completely fine, stock 5.0.1.
Help will be appreciated.
UPDATE : SOLVED, Thanks to @QueryVillain
Solution :
1) Volume up + Power button while device is off
2) As soon as you see something in upper left corner, release both buttons and you will be booted to recovery
Try TWRP 2.87 to see if you still have the same problem.

Sorry for the late reply, but ok i'l try it out.
The actual key combo is volume up + power button. Home button is not necessary.

I flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 and i'm having the exact same issue, just a black screen then about 3 to 5 seconds in, it will vibrate and show Galaxy S4 screen and boot to android.
Similar behaviour started to happen to me after flashing new bootloader via ODIN, but instead of booting to Android, my phone just turns off. At first I thought recovery got overwritten, but I still could boot into it from Android restart menu
What works for me:
1) Volume up + Power button while device is off
2) As soon as you see something in upper left corner, release both buttons and you will be booted to recovery

What do you mean? It's recovery, just as safe as using recovery in general

Doesn't matter anymore, Thank you so much! Other members told me to flash stock rom again, but I didn't want to lose all my stuff and go through backing up process.

Normally, while trying to get into recovery, you hold the buttons until it vibrates and then release.
If you don't release the buttons (the power button especially), the phone will turn off at some point.
