N9005 HLTEXX 4.3 JELLYBEAN - Can't Flash CM 11 Kitkat - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys, Apologies if there is a thread for this already but I couldn't find a thing. Having trouble installing Cyanogenmod 11 on my note 3 N9005 HLTEXX running Android 4.3. I successfully rooting and flashed clockwork mod recovery but when I go to install the cm11.zip from recovery menu I just get an aborted message with an error 7 (the zip you are trying install is for a HLTEXX device, this is a HLTE)
I then read a thread saying that if I delete the first line of ode in the updater scipt file with in the .zip.done this but I got an (error 6) ( no explanation was given).
I've reflashed offical firmware and tried the process again
But had no joy.
Anybody out there help? I'm on the o2 network in Ireland and 4.2 offical isn't available yet.
Cheers
Ray

It is not working because new boot loader! And in my opinion it is also not happening in the future

Error 6 is a custom Recovery issue, edit the updater script or switch custom recoveries.

Read the post before you comment, he clearly states he is on 4.3

No, read this post. :good:
EDIT: PS, this should be in Q&A section

you are on 4.3, YOU DONT HAVE THE NEW BOOTLOADER.. so like @radicalisto said either flash twrp or edit the updater script...
PS- you could have just searched the CM thread and found the answer to this question, rather than making a thread....and that too in the WRONG section

Here listen Khizar, I'm just looking for a bit of help as I am unfamiliar with the latest on flashing and bootloader updates. You obviously dont have a life outside of writing on these forums if you are getting upset that it is not in the right category.
Thanks to everyone else for your help though and not being a smart ass!
Cheers

Look at this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970626
and find the section (approx 3 pgdn's) :
"For people who have Unrooted phone and ICS 4.0.4:
I can show an easy way to flash it.
Just download GL_NOTECORE_HYDRACORE_v4-3b_STD.tar
Flash it with Odin 1.85, (Click PDA, choose hydracore and press Start)
After this you will have Root on your phone. Restart it a"
This worked great for me and I came from the German ICS 4.0.3

I don't have this as I have already moved to note2

Philz stock kernel is now available for DDLRB.
This is just a small firmware update for "improved stability "
I think it even cleared cached as all applications were optimised after boot.
Also the entire Samsung Premium suit was reinstalled

It might be wrong section, but definitely NOT old news. The Official JB release was timestamped April 22nd, but it hit sammobile repository just this morning.
Great news!

at least 4 hours old @ the time when happily announce "the news" were at least 3 reporting users with official JB installed
After unrooted my 7.7, update ota, success.
So far don't know how to root it. Using rootinh method like in ics, not working, failed when checking signature or something like that.
No multi window as far as i know.
Lock screen like note, with ripple effect, application shortcut, news scrolling. There is smart stay also.

Good news...
Can anybody post a link as sammobile just keeps saying loading..
I want to install with mobile odin and inject su etc to keep root access..
im glad its 4.12 and not 4.2.2 due to the issues mounting NTFS and reading it from apps..
Hopefully theres something inside to be learned for the developers of custom roms to help fix issues..
Why don,t release p6810,version?
AUs
downloading now and is 20.3kb...maybe next week i might have it lol
Would love to see the tab in JB. If anyone can upload a video or screenshots even, I'd be grateful.

How to I maintain root when I flash with odin?
you cant... if you want to maintain the root use mobile odin..
So I assume I am flashing with Odin, then downloading mobile odin, and then rooting with that?
mobile odin need root... if you are in root ics.. just download mobile odin at the original thread by chainfire... you can flash the JB files directly and retain the root
I cant tell If mine is bootlooping or not, the samsung animation keeps popping up over and over circling then pulsing. Before it just stayed pulsing the animation never started over..
EDIT: I went into recovery and wiped the cache and data and now it seems to be booting normally. I assumed odin would wipe the data i guess not..
nope odin only wipe system

Clockworkmod 6.0.3.3

Hi guys,
I'm about to flash my first non-stock recovery on my i9505.
I wanted to know if anyone of you has got the last version of cwm official recovery (6.0.3.3) and has tried to update the official nightlies of Cyanogenmod 10.1 through the update manager without hassle.
I've followed the thread and for my understanding i should install the version that i can download from the cm10.1 thread instead of official one. Is it correct?
For ppl using it: did you have any issue?
Thanks!
No more status issues mate. Use the one which can be downloaded via Rom Manager or through the one provided by invisiblek in the CM thread

Thanks for the prompt reply! Just flashed via ROM manager and it flashed perfect straight away. Trying to understand if mute calls from cyanogenmod are due to basebands different from MEA before flashing new ROM.
Actually some people having MEA basebands are saying that they have no call issues with their phone. I'll just add the information if someone of u can be interested in!

Omega rom V 33 - XXUGNF1 Modem problem

Hi,
I've successfully upgraded my Omega Rom on my galaxy S4 to V 33 - XXUGNF1. The thing is, I downloaded the LTE modem XXUGNF1 as well but after I flashed it with Odin, I still see I9505XXUFNC9 in my specs on the phone...
In the installation guide on the site they use I9505XXUFNC9_GSM_LTE_Modems.tar as well for installation, so I wonder if it's not possible to install the XXUGNF1 version. It would be weird since I can donwload the XXUGNF1 modem from their site....
Anyone an idea what went wrong? Didn't I flash correctly? I dont know which bootloader I have (dont know where to see that), but since I have KitKat I guess I have the new boatloarder...
Thanks!

There are a few steps to be followed. I had the same problem and I will make a review on Youtube in order to get rid of this.
1. Download Odin v3.04. Google it, it's the first link.
2. Download the prefered modem.
3. Get into Download and open Odin.
4. Connect your device via USB to your computer.
5. UNTICK auto-reboot. THIS IS CRUCIAL.
6. Set your modem .tar in PHONE seciton.
7. Hit Start.
8. After it's done, unplug your S4.
9. Turn it off BY REMOVING BATTERY.
10. Boot again into Download and flash it again, following the same steps.
11. After the flashing is complete, remove USB and power off using power button.
12. Boot up and your modem should be changed.
13.(OPTIONAL) If it doesn't work, flash it again and again...It should work though.:victory:
isf please tell me:
why remove the battery and then flash it again? doesnt make sense to me

Where should I know? Maybe it's a bug or something... I discovered that by myself. You asked, I answered.

What I did was just pull the cable out while it was flashing. Then flashing it again with the normal procedure fixed it for me.

Note 3 HLTE model TWRP problem.

Hello, I was trying to flash my Note 3 HLTE (9005) into note 7 rom. it requires aroma installer, witch requires older twrp. as soon as i get TWRP on my device i cant get any files on there trough pc. it automaticly conects as hlte not my device name, and also it cant flash anything. thanks for help. i need the old version cause its the only one that works to flash those cool roms.
thank you all.
This doesn't make any sense. For anything else, xda has a very good search engine. And there's always Google. You are not the first one doing this !

As above post makes no sense at all .
You put the custom ro on your ext sd card then flash from TWRP .
Its possible judged by your post that you have flashed the TWRP that is not for your model .
But impossible to say as no details .

well, i searched on twrp my exact model. and yes i did like you said from my ext sd card. it shows like its corrupted then restarts.
also, i tried cwm too. it gets stuck in extracting.
and my damn internet is slow so may be bad packets some said.
dont be so rude on me also. I of course searched all google and xda over.
thanks.
Possible faulty sd card.or.
Bad download.
Flash back to your stock rom .

FIXED!
So, i wasn't wiping all the data, and now i was. so that fixed me and im now launching euphoria rom! thank you all!
if someone gets like some symlinks failed error
or the aroma installer stuck on 15% or so, wipe your phone, right before installing the rom!
Have a great one guys!:highfive:
Hey everyone.
I got a note 3 hlte 9005 from a friend who replaced the display.
Now someone installed the wrong stockrom.
N900 Rom running a 9005
Do I need to change to the right stock Rom to get twrp for hlte installed?
Or is it possible to get it working without flashing the right stock rom?

Boot into download mode to confirm the model # and then select the correct TWRP.
