if you haven't yet flashed hydracore go ahead and flash philz ddlr9 kernel... working fab for me

Yes lr9 should work on this but anyway anyone can provide me kernel then post it here, I will ask phill to make kernel for lrb.
I don't have this as I have already moved to note2

Philz stock kernel is now available for DDLRB.

This is just a small firmware update for "improved stability "
I think it even cleared cached as all applications were optimised after boot.
Also the entire Samsung Premium suit was reinstalled

Good luck with the note 2.
From the man in your attic...

downloaded the 632 MB full ROM and updated and rooted using Philz
but the 1$ question is where is the changelog? cause even after digging everywhere i cant find any visible changes?
is it just for the tweaks?

Thread Closed there is a thread in place for this...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2008896

Galaxy note DDLA5 observations n way to Root it

I ve installed ddla5 yesterday with mobile odin pro yesterday with permenent root.No probs at all. The major differance i observed is the loudness of sound has increased a bit while playing movies or music or voice calls i felt the difference.rest is the same.
For those who want to root their phones for the first time i suggest try the cason hongkong stock Rom through odin.coz it wont give u yellow triangle.it has no built in cwm but it has superuser. Then install mobile odin pro from the Market.[mod edit - removal of warez suggestion] Then install cf root kk n u can install what ever rom.
I tried all the stock n custom roms.i liked rocket rom 22 xxla6 then added ics theme 1.61 to it,which is looking n working like magic.i m juz lovin it.
You can also try kingdroid which is equally good.
I m giving a try for ddla5. If not for the minor increase inthe sound quality i would prefer rocket 22 rom.
Now that dr.ketan has provided the indian modem i ll go back to my fav rom n flash the indian modem. Big thanks to dr.ketan for the modem

DDLA5 is nonwipe version, so you wont lose data. but it is always good to have backup of your data, in case of anything happen worse.
If you update using Mobile Odin - select 'everroot' (including all four sub field) enable
If you using CWM - select to 'Keep CF Root' when ask
To keep your Root Intact.
I got DLA5 via OTA from Samsung, official update, now i dont know how to simply root it? Not talking about installing CWM yet, but i just want to Root DLA5. Using your DooMLord version dint help, ketan.. could you please help me.

That's not your csc. Csc is 3 letters such as xeu for uk. You can check your csc by typing the following into the dialpad:
*272*emeicode*# where emei code is obtainable via *#06# in dialer
When you have it go to Dr K's thread and download the latest gb for that csc. If there isn't one available there is an alternative, but try that first.

Need for help guys
First of all a big thanks to all the helpful members of the XDA
Secondly I need more help from you guys.
As I posted earlier I want to go back to GB from ICS as I see LPY kernels are not safe plus ICS draining my battery.
My phone details
Baseband version:
N7000XXLPT
Kernel version:
3.0.15-N7000XXLPY-CL474507
[email protected] #3
SMP PREEMPT Fri May 4 04:49:06 KST 2012
Build number:
IML74K.XXLPY
CSC : DBT (my SGN happens to have multi-csc)
I don't even have a backup of my GB rom so cannot simply go back on my own so need your help.
Now the thing is as suggested by SpyderTracks I went to Dr. Ketan's thread but there are so many options which is really confusing me.
I searched there for GB rom matching my Phone's PDA and CSC but couldn't find anything except for ICS rom. So now can someone please suggest me what GB rom should I flash? If possible please share the links and steps here only please.:crying:
Also if I can root it later on.
Sorry if its bothering you pals but what to do I am helpless.

The lpy description in your pda relates to kernel version which is ics. If you look through Dr K's thread you'll see the roms are listed by kernel version and csc. The kernel version will obviously be different for gb such as kka (which is directly rootable). Also the gb roms are listed as directly rootable and not directly rootable.
So you can select any gb rom for dbt csc in the directly rootable section, stick it in the pda section of pc odin, and flash. It's easier than it sounds, just take your time with it. When it's flashed its worth rebooting into recovery (vol up, power, home) and do a full wipe.
Alternatively, a very kind soul packaged up some pre- rooted roms link here:

Help with XXLPY stock ICS

Hey guys,
So basically, i rooted using using a guide i found here on XDA, worked great, did it with CWM.zip and SU-Busybox-Installer.zip, Went real easy for a noob like me!
The problem ive got now, i dont seem to have a proper copy of CMW recovery installed, just the stock recovery.
This wouldnt be too much of a problem, however i read the follow :
http://www.theandroidsoul.com/insta...xy-note-on-xxlpy-ice-cream-sandwich-firmware/
This is worrying, it sounds to be more difficult to install a proper CMW recovery than it is too root on this build number : IML74K.XXLPY
Overall, all im aiming for this Kernel :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749863
And this ROM :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716088
(Performance, stock rom with a little OC basically, if you know easier/better combinations, please link them!)
If any of u clever folk know where i can find me some idiot friendly information/links/guides to pull what (I think) is a mammoth task, please feel free to point me in the right way.
Thanks in advance, Sorry for what might seem like daft questions
Is downgrading to GB a must or can i just install a new ROM with mobile ODIN pro?

What you should do is:
- Download a GB rom from SamMobile, Preferably a directly rootable one (i suggest KKA).
- Download ODIN
- Flash the GB Rom via Odin (open the rom in the PDA section), don't worry flashing an official rom wont raise your flash counter.
- Download the InitialCFRootFlasher.zip and this CF-Root Kernel.
- Extract the files (repeat for the zImage).
- Place the zImage file from the CF-Root kernel in the zImage folder from InitialRootFlasher.
- Start "not-rooted-yet.bat" and follow the instructions.
When finished you will have a rooted GB rom.
Next you would like to flash the ICS LPY Rom.
- Download the LPY ROM.
- Download the CF-Root Kernel.
- Extract the files (repeat for the zImage)
- Place both files on your SD card.
- Install MobileOdin.
- Install the Device Specific files.
- Press 'Open File' and select the LPY Rom.
- Press 'Kernel' and select the zImage.
- Enable EverRoot, SuperSU , Inject Mobile ODIN and Wipe Dalvic cache.
- Flash firmware.
When rebooted you will have a rooted LPY rom with CWM and busybox.
Dont mix the zImages up or else your screwed.

These CF-Root kernels are stock kernels modified by Chainfire. He pre-rooted the kernel and added CWM, BusyBox and SuperSU. These kernels are considered safe if you stick to the tutorial by the letter!!.

Hey guys, followed by the book, cant even get past the initial setup screen, just crashes every application it tries to start as soon as i 'press the android', so im stuck at the moment, hopefully its not beyond rescue!
EDITED: So, i did a factory reset as i was already GB, works fine, flashed ICS LPY with mobile odin, got CWM and busybox, now its time to flash the custom ROM, which option in PC odin so i select for choosing the kernel zimage?
is it bootload/pda/phone or csc. according to the guide for the rom im interested in which is in my OP, i need to flash kernel FIRST
thanks so far guys, all the information has been correct and im almost done
One more thing though, the samsung keyboard is still typing null on key entry on this ICS also, is this something i should worry about? i prefer swiftkey either way!
Im now running a custom ROM and Kernel, scary stuff, but so much more comfortable with the process now, this is due to Lodi and Baz77, Many thanks to you both!

Gt-N7000 [4.1.2] - N7000DDLSC Firmware - India (INU)

Finally the wait is over. Just got an update via Samsung kies in india for the latest jelly bean update 4.1.2
Baseband version - N7000DDLS6
Build number - N7000DDLSC
Enjoy !!!
I Guess you got it OTA, as there is nothing on Sammobile?

Question out of the box - will it work if i install this via PC Odin directly over LSZ?

When you install with PC Odin you have to reinstall Kernel/Mods/Themes. If the India Rom is a no-wipe your data will not be touched. So: yes you can install (and should do so), but your LSZ specific thins will be erased/overwritten.

Just flash with odin mobile and auto-inject superuser.apk and root it all while flashing. Worked for me.

It might be wrong section, but definitely NOT old news. The Official JB release was timestamped April 22nd, but it hit sammobile repository just this morning.
Great news!

at least 4 hours old @ the time when happily announce "the news" were at least 3 reporting users with official JB installed
After unrooted my 7.7, update ota, success.
So far don't know how to root it. Using rootinh method like in ics, not working, failed when checking signature or something like that.
No multi window as far as i know.
Lock screen like note, with ripple effect, application shortcut, news scrolling. There is smart stay also.

Good news...
Can anybody post a link as sammobile just keeps saying loading..
I want to install with mobile odin and inject su etc to keep root access..
im glad its 4.12 and not 4.2.2 due to the issues mounting NTFS and reading it from apps..
Hopefully theres something inside to be learned for the developers of custom roms to help fix issues..
Why don,t release p6810,version?
AUs
downloading now and is 20.3kb...maybe next week i might have it lol
Would love to see the tab in JB. If anyone can upload a video or screenshots even, I'd be grateful.

How to I maintain root when I flash with odin?
you cant... if you want to maintain the root use mobile odin..
So I assume I am flashing with Odin, then downloading mobile odin, and then rooting with that?
mobile odin need root... if you are in root ics.. just download mobile odin at the original thread by chainfire... you can flash the JB files directly and retain the root
I cant tell If mine is bootlooping or not, the samsung animation keeps popping up over and over circling then pulsing. Before it just stayed pulsing the animation never started over..
EDIT: I went into recovery and wiped the cache and data and now it seems to be booting normally. I assumed odin would wipe the data i guess not..
nope odin only wipe system
