I've been using this rom since beta 1.9 and once in a while I had this problem. After the screen is going off (either locking or screen timeout) i cant wake up the phone with power button or home button. It seems like the backlight works but I dont see anythig and the only way to fix it is to keep the power button for about 5 sec so the phone reboots.Since I flashed RC1 and now RC2 (tried both dirty and clean flash) this problem happens more often..anyone else has the same bug? Any help how to fix it?

When I press the home button. It just vibrate and does nothing. All other buttons are working fine.
It was working fine on MIUI GB as main OS in internal storage. I'm using Froyo kernel on original Defy.
Also lockscreen is not working in both CM9 and WIUI V4.
Any solution? Thanks.

I saw the same behavior after the Republic OTA upgrade to build 65K. Home vibrated but did not go home. Luckily, the "back" button still worked, so repeated pressings would get me home eventually. System reboot seems to have fixed the home button.
Related maybe: my home-screen icons were lost/scrambled after the upgrade's auto-reboot. Fixed that by hand.
I was playing royal revolt, just finished my first lvl and clicked the button to proceed. Then my screen turned black and won't respond even when i press the power button.
I currently have xylon rom.

try to connect you phoen to your computer to check if it is still on?
I think I have encountered that error before too, was using the latest nightly 54. Even if you press the power button nothing happens..
I held down the power button for maybe like 20-30 secs or so and then it would restart again, but then I'd get a bootloop and to fix that bootloop I had to restore an old nandroid

No problem! I wonder why mine goes into a bootloop, but whatever. Glad it worked for you though!
I am using the PAC Rom on the latest nightly with a clean install and the Franco Kernel at the default settings. My phone reboots during calls when the hardware button is pressed. Is there any fix for this?

Has this ever happened to anybody before?
I performed a clean flash of N900W8VLU2DOD1 through Odin (pulled battery, booted straight into Download mode).
The menu softkey works, but seems to register as hitting/long pressing the menu button, so S Finder opens.
The Back button does not respond to touch, but will light up when the Menu button is pressed.
All of my softkeys are working just fine when I am running a custom Touchwiz ROM, or Temasek's CM12.1...
Does anybody know how to fix this?!
hello guys, is there anyone else experiencing home button unresponsiveness?
like sometimes when i tap the home button it just won't return me to the home screen.
it does not happen all the time, most of the time it works as it should, but at times no matter how many times i tap it, it just wont respond /wont return me to the home screen :l
anyone else experiencing this ?
Note: i am using Flash kernel with the rom i use currently, Resurrection Remix Nougat + Flash kernel.
it happens really with every Nougat Custom Rom i have tried.
