As a long time LMT Launcher user i`d like to share this laucher with y`all, especialy when you`re running the stock rom.
Original dev`s thread link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150.
Latest version atm to download http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2496715&d=1388963121.
Features many options that you can tweak to your liking and also you can\should disable the hardware keys so you can benefit of a full screen.

Add a line to \system\build.prop\: qemu.hw.mainkeys=1. Save and exit and reboot.
Enable them again to change the value from 1 to 0, save and exit and reboot and the hardware keys are visible again.
For the lazy ones: you can install this app to (un)hide the HW keys here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys&hl=nl.
Enjoy

Do you know a list of LMT key codes? I recently discovered that 1026 key enables to access to Power menu.

You might look here for instance for more info http://lmtlauncher.blogspot.nl/2013/08/lmt-launcher-sendevent.html, don`t use keycodes myself. You can set many gestures for performing tasks or opening apps/widgets in LMT gestures too.

Look on the LMT thread or post your question there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150, i never used these keys.

Awesome app. This is the reason I rooted my phone to begin with. Got rid of the on screen keys.

currently on version rc6. I'll have to try rc7.

For sure. Been using this on my last few phones. Perfect on the N5 with no nav bar and Expanded Desktop mode. More screen real estate, cleaner looking, and more functional. Hard not to love it.

BEST "task Switching" APP

I hate how there is no "proper" way to switch apps on android (dont mention pressing HOme key for a while)..I want to know which is the most easy way to switch apps on android.....CUrrently i use CLUTCHPAD and had earlier used smart taskbar..What do u use?? Which is the best task switching app..
http://www.appbrain.com/app/itching-thumb-(task-manager)/com.bw.flipit this one is nice but right now im just using the built-in switcher
I use PreviousApp to get to last app just by long pressing search key. Its a bit buggy though
Perfect Task Switcher
I use Perfect Task Switcher which is looks very good. Just like S^3 task switcher with thumbnails. And its free in Android market.

do any one of the above open up by say touching a particular section on the screen...CLUTCHPAD provides a small transparent notch on the screen..Click it and a small windows pops open...check the enclosed screenshot..its really handy gives your phone an alt+tab feel without pressing any hard buttons !!
im using prehome, its fast and simple, free from market

There is, if you hold home. I personally did not like this because whatever ROM I always used... it never was fast enough. I ended up creating ClutchPad... which I just happened to create a video that shows off lots of its features. Not saying its for everyone... but it may be what your looking for

I also use perfect task switcher. If you go into the options you can set it to allow you to kill the apps from that window. It places a little X in the corner of each thumbnail.

Ipad-like mutlitask gestures on lg optimus one

Today I stumbled upon a cool app called GMD Gesture Control, it basically allows you to define global gestures that can be used anywhere and that can do any kind of action, kinda like the "pinch" gesture found in the ipad that closes the current app. The gestures can be defined with custom directions, actions or number of fingers. So you can for example swipe with two fingers down from the top edge of the screen for the device to go to sleep if you have an unreliable sleep button.
Here's the steps needed to be taken to use this app on lg optimus one:
1- Get the app, you can use the lite version for now which disables itself when the mobile is locked and needs to be re enabled, but it gives you a good idea of how the app works:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...dvb2Rtb29kZHJvaWQuZ2VzdHVyZWNvbnRyb2xkZW1vIl0.
2- Launch the app for the first time, it will show an error that the device is not recognized, here you have to override the default settings to support our mobile, you can do this by tapping the "advanced" tab at the far right, then you will find 2 options at the end of the list, enable both by tapping the "on" button. Then from the "Override multitouch device detection" list choose "touch_mcs6000", then choose from the "override touch events parser detection" list the option "HC_DEFAULT".
3- Restart the service from the main "General" tab, please note that I couldn't get our mobile to support more than 2 fingers gestures, keep that in mind when defining custom gestures or choose "single touch gestures" option in the default gestures tab.
Hope that you all find this useful, this app is extremely fun to use to switch between apps quickly, I use a swipe from the left-right bottom corner to switch between previous/next app. You can really create any kind of creative gesture as you like.
This app is incompatible with your MobiFone LGE LG-P500.
it needs version 3.1 and up
upgrade to ics and install

Hide navigation bar when typing?

Hi all,
Is there a way to hide the navigation bar when typing, whether rooted/custom roms or stock? When typing quickly in landscape (with swiftkey) I keep pushing home by accident.
Thanks.
Team EOS just released a stable rom that allows you to hide the navigation bars (holding the power button). It works great but I found using gmd gesture control (recommended in a similar thread) to be much more effective and easy to use. It has lots more options than just hiding the navigation bars. With all the new and programmable gestures I really am beginning to use my nexus differently. Even though it takes a little getting used to.

hiding is easy, but its kind of tiring to do if its just for typing a sentence or two. if youre in for fullscreen browsing it is an option most roms have. i use it mostly for playing games.
another option is phoneUI, which surprisingly works pretty neat, i also like the notificationdropdown better. it makes way in landscape orientation just like on your phone.
another take would be to blow up the keyboard, maybe your fingers like it better. pa can individually change apps, even keyboards to any size or form you want.
yet another option would be the phoneUI keyboard, this is what i use and i find it better to type on. i use it with systemUI set to tabUI so i dont get these fat bottons down there anyway.
Thanks a lot guys, I'm completely stock at the moment but will be rooting soon, especially with this. Just got to sort through which rom I want!
@toid, that looks brilliant, would like to have those other gestures too. Thanks!
So I've rooted now and got the GMD Gestures, loving them! Will be installing Paranoid once it's updated to 4.1.2

[GUIDE] Launching the Multi-Control Panel with a single gesture WITHOUT Root!

For HTC One with firmware 4.2.2 or above, there is a very handy multi-control panel with can allow users enable and disable many features like Wifi, Data, Auto-rotation etc.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
However, the stupid Google UI design has made it very slow and complicated to launch the panel with 2 fingers simultaneously or swipe the notification bar down first and press the button to launch Control Panel.
Finally, I figured out a way to launch the Multi-control Panel instantly using one finer
It does NOT require root.
Here are the steps:
1. Download two apps at Google Play: "Nova Launcher" and "Swiping Home Button"
(The second app is a paid app, so you know it...)
2. Launch "Swiping Home Button and click "Binding"
3. You can customize your gesture here and personally I prefer to launch Control Panel by swiping up right (the one with Chinese word)
4. Click on the gesture you like and assign a shortcut to it. We are going to choose "App shortcut" here.
5. Choose "Nova Launcher"
6. Finally, choose "Extended Quick Settings"
You are DONE ! Enjoy the Multi-Control Panel instantly with one finger !
Demonstration Video:
Hey Mate,
Does it mean that Nova Launcher has to be running at the background all times?
I really not sure. But I don't recognize any negative effect in terms of the phone's performance caused by this trick.

Yes. Also, Nova Launcher has gestures as well so I don't get the use of this.

Full screen Apps - Thought this might be a worthwhile thread

Hey,
So Hope everyone is enjoying their new Z3C, I know I am.
As a first time on-screen key user, the one thing that slightly grates on me is the way the nav bar takes up screen real estate in certain apps. So thought maybe (I'm going out on a limb here and assuming Im not the only one with that mentality) would be useful to compile a list of apps (whether they're games, or simply alternative versions of sms, browser apps) that are full screen. I.e. they support and use the 'Immersive mode' without the need for root.
Browser wise, my contribution is Javelin, which is ALMOST as fast as Chrome, but is extremely elegant and offers full screen, (via transparent nav buttons) which just looks SO much better.
Anyone else? I appreciate you can get any app to be full screen with root tactics..........but still.
Only app I've noticed so far is Reddit Sync with ads removed uses the transparent nav bar and it is beautiful.
Agreed, full immersive mode is the way to go. The on-screen nav buttons are an eyesore, IMO. I can't wait to achieve root (without unlocking the bootloader) so I can apply it to all my most used apps which look far nicer in full immersive mode.

THANKS for mentioning Javelin! I've searched for a good fullscreen browser and it seems this is just what I was looking for.
Regarding the topic - for those of you who don't know it already I can recommend Talon. It's a gorgeous twitter client that can be tweaked in every possible way.
Guys,
I expect you guys know but there is an immersive mode app that i have been using, it doesnt require root and you can even toggle it on and off from the notification bar (there is a setting to enable this).
The only issue is that for apps where you want or need to use a keyboard it doesnt work when active, though you can disable, enter text and re-enable afterwards. You can even toggle it on for the home screen.
Worked well when I was experimenting with it.

I'm using All in One Gestures: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phoenixstudios.aiogestures to achieve full immersive mode right now and it's working pretty good, in addition to having a host of other useful shortcuts as well.
