There have been other posts like this that turned out not to be true.
I doubt this one as well.
I thought I had it, too, but it turns out that it's just the default Flash Lite that ships with the phone.

No, this is the real deal, although with sites like Hulu blocking mobile devices from streaming ATM, its range is limited. This ADOBE Flash 10.1, ported from Fr2.2.
PS, ROOT not required -- this simply plugs-into to Webkit browser where flashLite does, but that requires no intervention from the user either, which is very nice IMHO.
no, it's not. the only thing this does is makes it appear as if you have flash 10 to websites instead of flash lite. so it will seem like some sites work that didn't before, but it's still using the flash lite that's already on the phone.

Why are you so sure? That apk installed and used once is 12mb, whereas the HTC Flash Lite plugin weighs in at . . . 52kb.
Because I was one of the first Incredible users when the guy who made it 2.1 compatible posted it. He already stated that the 2.1 webkit can't make use of the new flash beta without being completely rebuilt. He was/is working on getting that done, but for now it doesn't do anything but make it appear to websites that you have flash 10. so while it may seem like new sites are working, it's only because they detect flash 10. Your phone however, is still using flash lite to run the content.

I still find it hard to believe, especially since a friend of mine is using it successfully on an Eclair N1. In that case, it obviously could not cue the webkit just to spoof a plug-in that's not there. All of this would take a lot of time&effort to fake, from the icon, branding, Flash 10 build#, etc.
It doesn't do anything. It loads all the same pages that Flash Lite does. The browser doesn't understand how to use the Flash apk, and continues to use Flash Lite. You can even check this by going to whatismyflash.com before and after you install it.
when i go to whatismyflash.com , it says 10.1.123 ...
Before and after, correct. Nothing changed.
before its 10.1.123 and i didnt even download it. thats the stock flash verson ,so unless when you install it and it changes to 10.1 xxx then it will not work but who cares anyway, we about we are about to have NAND unlocked which means custom roms 2.2 so whats the big deal with this.
Mine says the same thing, but Im still running flash lite...

You don't seem to understand what I'm saying. It's not fake. it's really the 2.2flash beta ported to install on 2.1 devices, but our phones don't actually know how to use it, other than acknowledging it's installed. so everything that worked before, works exactly the same. anything else that "works" after is simply because instead of being detected as using flash lite, the phone now thinks it has full flash, but it doesn't.
These threads are getting annoying! This must be like number seven, READ the thread you got this from before you post this again! The AUTHOR of that apk himself, auxluv, says it doesnt work! 2.1 does not have the apis for flash 10.1, PERIOD. Flash lite is what you are seeing. I cant believe this even needs to be explained to xda members..............

I was immediately skeptical that this would work the first time I heard it for that reason.
There's no particular reason Adobe would be restricting Flash to 2.2 if it didn't depend on 2.2 APIs.
In any case, it's a moot point, since we'll have Froyo within a week most likely.

I'm using a 2.1 firmware and the only thing I see in the web browser that might be Flash is stupid banner ads. I can't get flash videos to play at all and other flash apps and games don't work.
My Nokia 5800 had Flash Lite but it could play videos and run many Flash apps just fine.
I know we're getting full Flash support with Froyo but I still want some basic Flash support for now. I don't want to install the leaked Froyo builds.
So is there a way to get Flash Lite to work like the Nokia 5800 version? Maybe the firmware I'm using just doesn't run it properly? I'm using GYH1.
Or is the Android Flash lite really just rubbish that can't do anything but ads?

Think the best option is to install skyfire unless you want to install JP3(some bugs).

The bugs are the reason I'm avoiding the Froyo builds for now. Guess I'll try Skyfire. I know about it but it's still pretty limited compared to actual Flash

I made sure it's checked but I still get nothing but ads
Does it work better for you? If so please tell me what firmware you have.
when i was on jf3 i had it enabled and it worked perfect I could play games, watch movies, after that I jumped to jm1 here it didnt work at all. And now on jm2 it works again(a)
Thanks guys. Must just be this firmware then. Strange though, I'm pretty sure it didn't work when I was on JM2.
I'm wondering which firmware I should use then? Can't wait for the official Froyo update.
I'm considering JM5 since a lot of people seem to be using it.
Edit: Tested it myself, it works!
Hi.. i have been running eyecandy JB rom on my kindle without issue.. and i do some streaming flash audio, which wasn't a issue after i installed flash, until this morning.. dolphins latest update disabled flash in the app itself, and i had deleted my older APK's of dolphin.. was curious if anyone might have one laying around from a day or 2 ago? thanks...
Or any other browsers that still support flash?
Disregard this thread (can't seem to delete it..) The built in browser in JB still does flash fine
I know that Flash is no longer officially supported but ran into something that I am not sure how to work around. I have had my note since it came out so I had flash installed long before updates. I side loaded flash long ago and it works with dolphin browser as well as stock ( i know it does not work with chrome).
My issue is a friend of mine just got a new note 10.1 and while he can side load flash none of the browsers will play flash content. The message of "adobe flash 10.1 or higher is required". In dolphin the flash content toggle is disabled. Is there any way to change that?
I thought this would be easier and I have searched the forum and can't seem to find anything that has current instructions.
Any help would be great.

Ever since upgrading to 4.3 I have been unable to watch any flash video on my nexus 7. I've upgraded to the latest version of adobe flash and have tried firefox, its beta, boat, aosp browser, and next browser. It always crashes as soon as any flash content begins to load. Anyone know how to dfix this? I'm incredibly frustrated with this.

this is a known problem and there really isn't a consistent way to fix it. mix and matching browsers and flash versions seems to only have a hit and miss effectiveness. it is a problem between android 4.3 and flash and there hasnt been a real fix for it. the only browser that i've been able to get to work consistantly with flash on 4.3 is UC Browser. there's a lot of things i dont like about it but it gets the job done when i need to use flash.
Firefox BETA also seems to work fine with flash... I had no luck with other browsers...
4.2.2 flashback fixed my 4.3 problems.

I have v4.3 JB. I installed Flash Player 11.1 and it works perfectly with firefox browser. I went to firefox setting and enabled the plugins. I tried to make the latest Dolphin browser works with the flash player but no luck. I don't understand why Google hates so much Flash player that they prevent people to install the plugin (not available in play store and need to check "unknown source" to install the plugin).
