First of all, sorry for my pool english.
Okey, let's see...
I did some work about the original apks of MotoACTV, now the most important thing for me is it could show apps on original launcher , no need the third party launcher anymore.
I am sorry for that , I do not have enought time to continue my work about motoactv. I have something to do about my life.
I planed to development the call function on MotoACTV , so for that there is a call icon on the luancher that I patched. but I don't have time to write the function code.
for the luancher that I patched only can show the apps and widget now, this is my first android software, maybe it's works not so good, but don't worry , I will release the source code , anybody could continue to make it better.
Now it can show and hide and uninstall the apps from the original launcher(actually it's not the function of the launcher, it's just the luancher run an apk which named launcherhelper writed by me
to achieve the function).it's easy to understand if you are a developer.
Oh, another thing is the "ButtonSaviorPro", I patched it . it's really a good software for motoactv, with it, no need to change the keymap, all the original function of motoactv will stay there... after patch, the "ButtonSaviorPro" could show the notification panel by press on the virtual button, to show the notification panel just for check the time, it's the base function of a watch to check time, but for motoactv when you run an app it's hard to see the time unless by the notification or exit the app back to the main screen , and unfortunately , the original notification panel of motoactv can not show the time , also I patched it in the SystemUI.apk . now there is only one problem is how to pull-down the notification panel , I tried but failed...so I tried another way which is through the "ButtonSaviorPro" , for the original "ButtonSaviorPro" , it can not show the notification panel , but for me I think it's more easier to patch the "ButtonSaviorPro" then the system , because at least I know what to do with "ButtonSaviorPro", for the system I even don't know where to start to patch....If anybody know about this , please tell me , thank you ....

actually the creater of "ButtonSaviorPro" has another app named "statusbar+", it's could show the status bar when you running an fullscreen app, but however it can not show the notification panel. I do not want to patch this app because I am already using the "ButtonSaviorPro" on my motoactv , if anybody interest, you can contact with the developer to tell the stuation(such as notification panel ..flip to show ...etc...)
The last patch of the launcher is the way to show time , when screen on , it's will show time screen first , after few secends, it's will back to the old screen , it's very usefull for me, because when you running a app, and you did not exit back to main time screen of the launcher, if you want to check the time maybe you only rock your watch, the screen will turn on , but it's won't show the time screen .... so now , I fixed this problem , it's will show the time first (but when the call in it's also will show time first, so to show the call information will delay few secends. you also could shutdown this function . for this function, I did not use the back ground services instead , I patched the original launcher to make it work , because I do not want to waste any memory of MotoACTV. and you also can change the layout of the time screen in the resource code .)
I AM SORRY , THE "ButtonSaviorPro" WAS CHINESE VERSION , THAT MEANS SOME OF THE STRING IN IT IS IN CHINESE, I JUST NOTICE ABOUT THIS. IF YOU LIKE , YOU CAN TRANSLATE IT BACK TO ENGLISH OR OTHER LANGUAGE ... SORRY AGAIN ...

There are still many works we could do , like the FM, maybe we could try to make it work without wiredheadset plugin, because I alway use bluetooth, that means I can not use the FM function forever....s**t.......and the music function , maybe we could all music effection such as the bass and so on..also , the lyric function is usefull for me....how do you think ?
but all of these work will take a very long time.....I do not have time to do it .....maybe you can do it.

How to use:
1.root your motoactv, you can visit:

5.use adb comoond "adb push Settings.apk /system/app/Settings.apk" , if your motoactv restarted, wait until it finish restart and then repeat step2 and step3, then continue.
6.use adb comoond "adb push MotoACTVLuancherHelper.apk /system/app/MotoACTVLuancherHelper.apk" , if your motoactv restarted, wait until it finish restart and then repeat step2 and step3, then continue.

我是Cooper
入手MotoACTV大概2年了吧，官方没有任何更新。。。自身功能越来越让我觉得蛋疼，现在新出的智能手表功能上看起来已经超过了MotoACTV，所以我自己做了一些修改之类的事情增强一下MotoACTV原生功能。
玩过的人都知道，MotoACTVroot之后就是个平板，虽然小，但是差不多一样用。
群内的人可能知道我一直在搞MotoACTV相关的事情，只是比较忙，拖到现在才发布出来。
现在原生launcher可以显示程序和小部件了，其实并不是直接在原生launcher上显示，只是原生launcher上增加了个入口而已，入口调用了我自己写的一个小程序MotoACTVLuancherHelper.apk（帖子附件里有源文件，这是我第一个正式的安卓程序，仅仅针对MotoACTV的，可能没有那么完美，你可以修改完善胡作非为，但是请留个名哈~），算是个小launcher吧。
其他一些小修改自己体会吧。。。之所以这样搞，完全是个人需求以及喜好。没有侵权意图哈。
关于拨号功能，我预留了接口，以后有时间了会专门写个单独的程序实现，感觉其他手表能实现的MotoACTV也可以。只是最近开始找工作了，没时间再鼓捣了。。。sorry啊。。。
至于为什么不把MotoACTVLuancherHelper.apk集成进原生launcher，我觉得没多大必要了，集成进去太耗时间了，反编译然后逐个资源添加说不定还要反复调试。最初的时候我打算集成进去，但是现在手头事情又太多，上网也不方便，所以就做成了单独的程序，一样用。集成进去的好处就是我不开源的话，想研究的人很难从中学到什么。。。
对了，关于按键救星“ButtonSaviorPro”，这个是我做的修改版，主要的修改就是添加上了显示通知面板的功能。说一下为什么给这个软件加上这么个功能：
MotoACTV最佳的伴侣就是这个按键救星了，这个软件可以虚拟安卓需要的物理按键。而MotoACTV就个返回键和音量电源键，重要的诸如主页、菜单键都没有。有人就按键映射，修改物理按键原有的功能，可是这样子我个人不喜欢，因为会破坏原生功能，感觉得不偿失。所以发现了这个软件。
之所以修改这个软件，是因为MotoACTV的通知面板被禁用了，我尝试恢复，但是找不到关键，不知道究竟从哪里开始的屏蔽下滑动作，但是通过代码，还是可以显示通知栏的。整好按键救星一直常驻桌面，所以曲线救国就拿按键救星开刀了。这个版本是1.6.4的，可能不是最新的，因为做这些修改的时候我只能通过手机上网，移动的流量太贵，就没找最新版。
哦哦，忘了说了，之所以要显示这个通知面板，就是为了看时间的。。。手表的基本功能嘛，尤其是MotoACTV运行其他程序的时候，想看时间除了通知栏就只能退回到主界面了。所以做了一系列工作，就是为了让MotoACTV更实用。
MotoACTV的原生通知面板不能显示时间，也修改了一下，可以显示了。位于SystemUI.apk，可以对比学习。
现在通过常驻桌面的按键救星可以方便的看时间了。
其实按键救星的作者还有一款软件叫“statusbar+”滑动就可以显示状态栏，但是却不能显示通知栏，修改这个软件也可以，只是个人不想安装那么多软件来实现一个软件就可以实现的功能，所以最后还是修改了按键救星。谁有心，可以跟作者写邮件联系下让他加上显示通知面板的功能。我是没空了。。抱歉咯~
修改了这么多东西，总是本着实用为前提，其实还有很多地方可以修改完善，但是不知道为什么摩托罗拉放弃了面世几年依然毫不逊色的智能手表。最后一点修改，还是关于看时间的优化。作为一个智能手表，本质工作还是显示时间。所以为了增强体验，现在点亮屏幕即可显示时间，当然，这个界面是我自己做的，你可以自己修改源码修改界面。要说一点就是这个功能并非通过后台服务来接收SCREEN_ON事件，因为原始launcher已经会接收这个事件并进行处理了，为了不浪费MotoACTV的内存，所以我修改了原始launcher来调用我自己写的那个helper，个人感觉算是非常完美的解决了这个问题。后来使用中发现来电时也会显示时间，导致显示来电有几秒钟的延迟，这个问题要解决也可以，但是太麻烦了，感觉得不偿失，因为来电的时候手机响铃通过手表查看来电者的时间3秒钟已经差不多过去了。所以这个问题感觉不是个问题。
MotoACTV仍然有许多需要改进的地方，比如收音机功能，可以尝试做成不需要插耳机就能收听的，这对我很实用，因为本人一直用蓝牙耳机，现在收音机功能就是个摆设。。。用不到。。。再就是音乐功能，可以修改下尝试增加音效模块什么的，还有歌词界面，也可以尝试加上。喜欢原生的功能，不太喜欢第三方音乐播放器。。。你说呢？
这些需要改进的地方，我是没时间研究了，或许你可以试试。。。
对了，不知道有没有人联系过摩托罗拉要MotoACTV相关的源码？

Thanks, this works perfectly. I installed everything except "ButtonSaviorPro_v1.6.4_CN_PatchedByCooper". Without that you will have issues calling the "menu" button. I just used a modified keylayout, to setup SU, and then changed it back to the default.
I installed this on 2 MA's, one stock with root (the wife's), and one Cleardroid (mine).
Would be nice to figure out how to use a widget instead of the the MA clock (I know you can use skins, but a widget with weather or something would be nice.)
Also, since this is modifying stock apk's, I wonder if the MA app can be modded for the phone to get some 2-way communication going?
I am trying to change the "phone" menu to "enable wifi" instead. seems more useful to me.
Can somebody tell me if this code is correct?

2: open the AndroidRTLPatcher.exe
3: Connect your Android Phone via USB

but i have an issue here,
the patch detects the phone & build without the type, i choose NAND as my rom manually, the patch starts to the point that it stops with error, something about it cant replace the files coz they are in use, says to try from recover mode, rebooted and tried from CWM but it also failed to apply the patch.
so i replaced the fonts manually, rebooted, arabic letters is connected with some letters not showing the right way, and of course no RTL
is there a solution ? i could live without RTL, just want all the letters to show the right way
can you check if HTC SYNC is open , otherwise close it and try again , that's work for me

of course HTC Sync is off
everything works fine, to the point of the patcher starts " Patching Device " , it works for a couple of seconds then it fails
it says " File transfer Failed Because The System is in use it is recommended to start your phone in recovery and try again "
i tried patching from clockwork recovery mode with no luck

Seems we can use the command of telnetd to do emergency rescue.
I write telnetd as shell script. It's only to execute bootmenu, if someone modify mot_boot_mode maybe cause bootmenu can't execute.
The telnetd will execute by eclair's init_mapphone30_umts.rc. But it's only can use bootmenu to execute adb to do some things (ex. modify mot_boot_mode).
These days, I try using 2ndboot, but still freeze on hbootmod, I don't know why we can't execute hbootmod.
I can't find anything solution, and can't get more message.
For me, it's hard to debug, I'm not kernel developer. I try to understand the source code of hbootmod, should stuck on do_branch.
But I still can't get any idea to solve this question.
Hope someone can complete it, let we can use new kernel.

In terms of audio recorder, following information may help:
Flipout uses Sample Rate '16KHz' or "22KHz" to record sound, NOT '44KHz'. This is why flipout cannot use skype >_<. If you guys are using a recorder that uses Sample Rate "44KHz" (which almost all recorders set as default Sample Rate), you have to change the setting.

Seems use mb508's libaudio.so can use video(low quality,landscape orientation) and audio recorder.
-- hard decoding still problem, can use some player (like mxplayer) to play with soft decoding.

Now we can hear sound from the other side , but the other side can't hear what I say .

Should be QWERTY.
There are two files, ruthp0-keypad.kl and ruthp1-keypad.kl.
use this command
"cat /proc/device-tree/[email protected]/[email protected]/name"
My device get ruthp1-keypad.
If you want to use QWERTZ, you can try replace ruthp0-keypad.kl, ruthp1-keypad.kl, ruthp0-keypad.kcm.bin and ruthp1-keypad.kcm.bin.
Get from QWERTZ version.

Since both models are merged in the same post because the same hardware, I wonder if I can deploy this rom into a Motorola Charm, or if I got to make changes on code, I guess at least have to change some files where refers to 511 to 512, and where refers "Ruth" to "Charm".

just the key pad related files, I was unable to compile this ROM from source using charm files, I think an update file to replace keypad files with charm should do the trick.

I dont have the Issue and i haven't inserted any SIM Card, it should be enough to reboot without Sim Card.
If you get to Homescreen, use a Root Explorer and edit /system/build.prop, check if
Code:
keyguard.no_require_sim=xyz
is set to "false", if it isn't in there, add it!

I want to avoid Theatre Mode as I want to be able to glance at the screen and see the time.

In Cinema Mode i have Touch2Wake disabled but watch dont show anything and does not vibrate. It becomes really useless if it does not vibrate In Cinema Mode.

I've been looking everywhere for a solution to this. I hasn't even considered it as an issue, but just a couple of days is enough to make me realise this is a requirement. I can't believe it didn't come up in development! Aside from your own accidental touches, there's also the issue of inquisitive fingers from children touching that nice shiny screen... Tapping the side button to wake the screen would be perfect (whilst retaining the monochrome screen and notifications).
Cinema mode is really dumb. Just very poorly thought out. There has got to be a way to disable touch to wake. Or even enable vibrating notifications in cinema mode.

First you have to install twrp on your watch. Because you need the acces to some files. When you have installed, start in recovery mode, and go to mount and press system. Connect your watch to your computer and open adb,

Yep you can use it to wake up the device. But as I say, make a backup because this happen with my alpha of the gear 2 neo, so probably this is not going to work with other devices. Just in case xD
Works for me on LG G Watch R
The file name is different "synaptics_rmi4_i2c.idc"
Same edit, copied to sdcard and moved in recovery to /system/usr/idc/ as mentioned above.
I have swipe menu still available and I can swipe down for the quick toggles.
Button is used to wake (and I use screen always on)

I downloaded the advanced settings app tried the disable touch wake... it doesn't wake but you can still scroll notifications and long press to change the face.

Yep, it works on Marshmallow 6.0.1 when Rooted. Just tested it on my Huawei Watch.

I installed "Showear". You can set a simple touch pattern to unlock the watch. Crossing your arms will no longer trigger any action on your watch (except making the screen on).

Hi m8. I've done this on my LG urbane and works just fine ty a lot... but i modified a little your steps...
1) My lg urbane is rooted
2) I went to the ADB folder in my PC (using windows explorer) then using shift+right click i select "open command window here"
3) in this command window i did:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery (starts twrp)
in the TWRP:
Go to "Mount"
tick the "system" box
In the command window :
adb pull /system/usr/idc/synaptics_rmi4_i2c.idc (Dont need to select the folder, will appear in the ADB folder used to open the command window)***
*** When i tried to write the destination folder have not worked so i strongly advise not to fill this part, the command in the beginning is PULL not PUSH to take from the device and the file to be taken from the device had a different name as someone have stated before ***
4) In the notepad i did
I opened the file with the notepad and edit "touch.wake = 1" to "touch.wake = 0" (I did not delete this part just change the value)
5) in the command window:
adb pull <where you have the file> /system/usr/idc/
6) Reset my phone and works great!

Use IFont App as it was also a chiness fonts which cant be crossported to global version they removed it regards

buddy f5 is good enough for daily use i will point out some problems are
(1)Dirach HD is removed by flyme
(2)Camera is not that clear in upgraded version of flyme
(3)Battery drains like hell

Download the SuperSU "SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip" file from this thread
STEP-BY-STEP:
(Make sure you have OEM Unlocked before trying this procedure out. To do this, you need to activate developer options by tapping on "Build number" 7 times located under Settings>About Device>Software Info. Then, go to Settings>Developer Options and make sure OEM Unlock is enabled)
0. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, read the warnings!
1. Boot into recovery
2. Flash the "DebloatedX_J2Prime" file
3. Root via the method you want (flash SuperSU zip) or you can use Magisk
4. Flash the no-verity zip
5. You now have a fully debloated J2 Prime! with S8 icons

first of all... thank you for a great job. your rom-mod-script turn the device from a piece of sh*t to a usable smartphone these days...
camera, bluetooth, wifi, mtp, all work like a charm but i find some strange things with the software so far:
- i had a loop with the "samsung weather location" in the config menu (in the first boot, when we introduce our google account) it don't let me agree whit the terms. i had to disagree to enter to home screen.
- when i change the value on "app screen grid" (4x4 5x5 6x6) it does change it but don't show the icons... i need to reboot device to see the changes.
- i can't delete the second home screen. it don't show the garbage icon when i long-hold the side screen.
- "home screen settings > home screen layout > home screen only" crash.. force to close.
i know this are software bugs. but i'm just reporting it.
again... thanks for you work and for keeping this device alive.

Use the files of the XTreme rom truth, but it does not matter

The script factory resets your phone, deteles bloatware, and then installs S8 icons and launcher. It is still stock settings, it just replaces a few things.

Yes, it seems that location is set to "Device only". Weather location tries to change it to change it to "high accuracy" but it crashes the app. You need to change to "High accuracy" manually and then try to set up weather via the widget.

This is a known "bug" among ports of the S8 home app drawer ports. To avoid rebooting the device to see the effects, just keep swiping right and it should update itself

Yeah, it's an inherited problem thanks to the S8 drawer I put on this device :/
I found that the S8 icons break Samsung e-mail. On my V2 version I will remove S8 icons because Samsung e-mail is important to me
Until I get them to work together, I will not add them back

I don't wanna be rude or misunderstood but i edit your script and delete all the s8 part... i prefer the 100% the debloated rom + nova launcher (it looks more like stock android).

i have a question so maybe you can help me.
I edit your script and added some lines to delete in system and priv-app (samsung contacts, email, fbinstaller, etc.) but i end up somehow erasing the dialer app (my guess is that is connected to samsungcontacts app). Trying to find de apk of the dialer i found this thread ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/mod-google-pixel-contact-dialer-t3479715 ) and it works great to me... so my questions is:
If i want to add to your script the google dialer&contact apk, i just need to copy the respective files in the "priv-app" folder? substituting the "samsungInCallUI" folder?

I'm almost sure you don't have to replace "SamsungInCallUI" as I think that's specific with the Samsung dialer, or so I would think.
I would go ahead and delete that folder
Yes, all you would need to do is copy the GoogleContacts and GoogleDialer folders in the priv-app folder
And as for the updater-script, you can ignore the one that says "WORKING"
When I was testing the script, I couldn't get the format /data function to work properly and it kept making some apps crash
The "WORKING" script was the first version of the script I got to work on this device. After that, I kept editing the script until I got it to work
So, "updater-script" formats /data correctly and "WORKING" just factory resets without formatting /data

Well, I really can't tell for sure. I mean all that it really does is eliminate temporary files and close background apps. You can certainly try, but again, I always recommend a backup first
