I'm running TWRP 2.6.3.3 and I have backups of my stock ZV8 ROM but even after multiple restores, it keeps looking back to TWRP. I don't know what to do! Plz help, thank you. Also I'm not familiar with ADB or Fastboot, but I installed LG Mobile Device Support Tool on my Win 7 laptio, but it doesn't have any LS980 drivers for Sprint, only Tmobile,ATT, and Verizon drivers. PC won't recognize or install usb drivers when usb is connected. I know there is way to fix it since my backup ROMs are still on the device, just need guidance. Thanks!

Hi guys..
Few of you guys might already know me from around the forums. I know my ins and outs of android but today i am kinda stuck and i have not got a clue what to do. Here is the story.
Currently on my device i have a clear sd card. Only things i have on there is a slimkat build and gapps ready to flash. Problem is when i tried to make a backup it failed. Running TWRP recovery 2.6.0.0. Tried different things to get it working and nothing.
Now i tried to use a toolkit to be able to push the files to flash and get my phone going and still nothing it just goes back into recovery and nothing...Anyways another thing is adb is not working as it should...in recovery it recognizes my phone as connected but when in bootloader it does not
any help would be appreciated
Just some ideas here:
On device:
Try other version of TWRP or Multirom TWRP or CWM.
On PC:
Reinstall driver (Universal Naked Driver)

kinda in the process reflashing stock factory settings again and see what happens..many thanks anyway...
is there anything wrong with TWRP? cause anything i do it fails and i have not got a clue why
There are mixtures of results of peoples using different versions of TWRP/MultiromTWRP/CWM and nobody had a dam* clue what/why causes the incompatibility. Btw, I'm on latest MultiromTWRP which works great for me flashing variants of roms. Anyway, happy reflashing.
why dont you update twrp to 2.6.3.3

When I got my ATT G2 I rooted it, and installed TWRP custom Recovery. A week ago I got a system update notification, without thinking I updated the phone. It rebooted into TWRP recovery, and all I can do is navigate around the Recovery. I factory restored my phone, so I don't have SU, and I can't enter download mode. Any ideas on how I can fix my phone, or go about getting it replace?

You could try pushing a rom to twrp from adb if your PC doesn't recognize try Koush universal drivers to make it recognize

Could you give me instructinos on how I would do that?
I was having the same issue after accidentally installing an update on my VZW G2. I tried evey solution for 9 hours with no luck including the Koush universal drivers. The only way I could get the phone to be recognized by any computer was to use ubuntu. Once I had the JDK and SDK installed I ran the commands from this tutorial - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
I hope this helps someone out
if you dont have ubuntu installed on a computer you could always make a live cd and run it from that

So I completely wiped my LG G2 ATT D800 via twrp after the OTA update made me bootloop. i am running TWRP 2.6.3.3. I would try and get back to stock via the flash tool but my PC wont read the phone. Device Manager Says LG-D800 but has the happy little triangle next to it! I don't have ADB on my pc so i think the sideload option is out.
right now i will try and learn anything to fix this phone. so please give me some feed back. Right now all i can do is boot to TWRP. I can not get to download mode. so please give me some options where or how to get ADB and what to do with it. I have installed every driver available but no dice. Maybe because it in TWRP. idk. Thanks guys.

Try installing adb from android SDK...very simple and sideload a ROM...my guess would be easiest....for your PC recognizing your phone do you have the drivers installed? Try koush universal drivers?...or try going to download mode and flash to stock ....hope this helps
I've been trying to go back to VS98011A by using a flash tool and .TOT file but I have not been able to install the drivers. The phone installs 3 out of four drivers while in download mode. Does anyone know what may be going on ? The device was rooted before the OTA and after the OTA I rerooted with the IORoot tool, which makes no sense why the drivers aren't installing on windows but they were working on Ubuntu when I rerooted.
Any help would be appreciated.

I messed up somewhere while flashing a rom yesterday and got my vs980 soft bricked. Couldn't get into recovery, so I had to flash the 39a kdz.
I'm running a Windows 10 laptop and installed the drivers from lg site. I got it to where adb can see the device while the phone up and running. I copied over the files needed for root, and went into download mode. And now I can't get adb to see my phone.
Any help is much appreciated.
I think that you should go back to kk to root your g2 I did not succeed with that version of windows

You can root your phone using apps like KingRoot or KingoRoot.
