Hi,
There are hardware differences, and installing that ROM to your device will permanantly brick your phone. There are methods that can be used to port ROMS but this even results in issues.

I have an i9502 and have successfully flashed a stock i9500 ROM on it. Stating the obvious though, you LOSE functionality on the 2nd SIM slot. Other than that, the device works perfectly fine.
The only reason I bought the i9502 was because it was the only one available with 32GB internal. The 32GB was more important to me than the 2nd SIM
FYI, I used ODIN to flash the ROM.

This is something very useful information. As so far on all forums on web, people are saying that it is not possible and it will brick the phone.
now you came up with some thing new that the only loss is that of 2nd sim functionality.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

No problem. Yup, I searched through all the forums as well and all said the same thing (it will brick your phone). I took a chance anyway because the hardware is almost identical and thought it would be worth trying.
Got lucky I can confirm that i9500 ROM does work on i9502 (again, keep in mind you will lose 2nd SIM)

Its a relief to know this so thanks a lot for subjecting your I9502 to a guinea-pig test. The anxious wait is for a modified Rom for the I9502 with both SIMs functioning. That would make me smile forever and ever!

thanks for reply...
btw: i couldnt find the threat called ROM for 9502 mentioned here.... pls advise.

Hi Jerry,
Yes, if you flash back the stock i9502 rom or a variant of the i9502 stock rom, you should get back dual sim functionality without any problems.

So far no one responded. I got a little bit busy in the last two weeks. I would be searching in Chinese forums for the same.
You can use online google translator to translate.
Below is the link of the tread.

Hey there, I've tried the way as you said but I just got a "Failed" on the step flashing "sboot.bin" with Odin. How did you make it suceed exactly? Thanks a lot!
same here. got "failed" in odin.
freakin out soon...
So what are the benefits of doing this cross flash?
Hello everybody I' ve tried to install i9500 rom on my i9502 via twrp, the installatione went fine it boot and restored my google account and apps BUT my mobile network doesn' t want to connect, the phone ask me for the pin but i can' t make calls. So I was wondering if installing the modem i9502 could solve my problem
Sent from my GT-I9502 using XDA Free mobile app
You can use only one sim with i9500 rom.
I try a few ROM i9500, but no one have a drivers for dual sim
I' ve managed to have the dual sim functionality, but i don' t know how I' ve done multiples attemps adding the modem files and suddenly it work, i' ve the two sim working but on the other hand i' ve got big instability of the whole rom with random reboot and fc, the rom was aurora rom. Unfortunately I'm no longer able to repeat the procedure just one question when i flash i9500 rom the sim that works is the one on the left of the flash?
Yes, or first slot (3G slot)
Hey everyone. I'm sorry if this has been asked but I couldn't find anything relating to this specific problem. I just got the Galaxy S4 and am aware that there's only about 9 GB free to use on the internal storage. I looked and it's only saying I have about 4.2GB after not really downloading a whole lot. It's saying an additional 4GB is being used for system data. Just wondering if anyone had this happen and if they know why?
I have Wanam Xposed (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2383484) installed to tweak things on my stock rom. It's the only thing I really have on here that I've never dabbled with before so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or not. Just thought I'd give it a shot here, thanks!
Stock, rooted, Canadian SGH-I337M on Bell.
In case another noob like me searches this problem in the future, it was just a backup taking up all that space. An unusually large 4GB one, but I moved it to the SD and freed up all that space.
Hi, I am new here. I hope I don't post something too obvious but I don't think it is since there are many specifics. I also hope this is in the right section of the forum, feel free to move it elsewhere if it is not. There is so much information going on that I'm a bit lost.
So I bought this samsung galaxy note 4 on kijiji a couple months ago. I noticed strange memory anomalies when I started to really understand the phone. I had to take it to a repair center because I thought I didn't have access to the full memory. The guy said this phone was either not from here (I'm from canada/quebec and I bought it in montreal) or it was a clone. It is so identical to a real one I would not have doubted it because it was the first time I had one in my hands. Yesterday I googled a bit on differences between real and fakes and I think it is a fake according to this youtube video from techmagnet: Fake vs Real Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - New Version - Best chinese 1:1 Replica for 150$ ? [HD]
Sorry I can't post the link since I'm new. Just copy paste the tilte.
It is pretty much identical to his fake so I guess it's the same. They have almost same informations. So first thing is it had only 16gb when I bought it instead of the 32 announced and is stuck on kitkat 4.4.4 while there is supposed to be a lollipop update I believe, maybe even marshmallow I'm not sure. So now that I know that, it doesn't bother me too much that it is fake because it runs very smoothly and properly. Now what I am wondering is how can I indentify what's really under this cover and can I update it. According to the video, the guy says there should be no problem. But I have never updated a galaxy note 4, my last one was a optimus black so nothing to compare. I have also never flashed or used custom rom or rooted a phone but I heard they can be faster, more stable (not that the one I have is not, it is perfectly stable) and with more options. I don't know if someone can confirm the real benefits of upgrading my phone.
Now if it is possible to do so I would gladly share the necessary information to help find the right firmware. So what information do I need, how do I find it and which rom should I run on this phone. There seems to be a lot of them and I don't know any of them actually. I have already the apps used in the video(cpuz, geekbench 3, and android assistant if this is what I need but they give different informations on some of the phone infos.. From what I learned from the repair store, the canadian firmware should be SM-N910c if I remember correctly but I'm not sure. But this phone says N910F which is why I thought it was simply a european model at first that was maybe stolen and sold back here because the IMEI was good. The guy at the repair store told me he was reluctant to change the firmware himself because he feared he might break the device with the wrong stock firmware, something I think should not happen with a custom one? Anyway he just reset my phone and I ended up losing memory because now it shows 4gb instead of 16 that should have been 32 in the first place, but I assume since it is a clone it must simply have 16.
Last thing I want to know is the guy who sold me the phone told me he had unlocked it for it to work on every network companies. I'm currently with koodo/telus. Can updating my firmware block it again, like erase the unblocking? Or is it safe? I assume it is possible that custom roms just unlock the phone anyway but I am a noob at this.
From what I can tell you at first those are the information I think might be usefull but I don't know if I need more. I'll just take the lead and share what I think might be useful:
Cpu z says I have qualcomm Snapdragon 800 3.00 ghz but Geekbench says I'm not actually going that fast.
It says 4 cores, should be 8 if it was a real note 4 I think
krait 400 architecture
revision r0p3
Gpu: Adreno (TM)330
(SM-N910F)
Board: APQ8084
Hardware: MT6582
Kernel Architecture: armv7l
Kernel version: 3.4.67 (N9100ZCU1ANIF)
System says 3000 of RAM but geekbench says I'm not actually reaching that.
And system, android assistant and Cpu z doesn't seem to agree on the amount of internal memory I have. Cpuz does say I should be having 16gb so I think a firmware update should give me back those extra gb right?
Sorry there are lots of questions but I need proper guidance to get me in the right direction. I hope this is enough information. Once I get to know which rom to use and the proper steps of installation I should be able to find my way.

I had S4 clone, and it just not good
Never buy clones,but never.You have 4GB memory,not 16GB.
For upgrading ROM,search on google MTK ROMS- you have MT6582,first u need proper recovery, than MTK tools(root and backup old system) and finily ROM(You need to copy aome files from ur currnet ROM in new one-files like drivers for wifi, camera,bt etc)
It complicated,YOU CAN BRICK DEVICE-and no,memory stay 4GB it real one
Ps Just check again if it for sure MT 6582(download app Genuine Galaxy - Phone Info)
And here is ROMS for you(each off this must be ported for your device-have instuction on site): http://www.mtkroms.com/p/custom-roms-for-mtk6582.html?m=1

I think I have one of the best clones there is so it's not that bad. I have a 64gb SD card so I don't complain about internal memory.
So does upgrading rom erase the network unlocking?
And how do I choose between all those roms? There are so many! I guess a marshamallow one would be nice but is it stable and fast with this device?
Should I go with a rom that's like the one I already have? I don't know which one it is. Is there a way to find out?
Edit: Genuine galaxy says my IMEI is one of a Mobi SM55.
It says the cpu hardware is Qualcomm MSM 8974.
It also says I should have 16GB rom. I'm confused now
And CPU model says: ARMv7 Processor rev 3 (v7l)
Install the app like the above user mentioned, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo&hl=en

May be u have good clon, but nvm it just not easy FLASH and UPGRADE like original one..If u brick device and not have backup, you cant do nothing
Seems there no MM(marshamallow) for mt 6582(last is 5.1.1 i think,or 5.0.1).Clone is never locked network,so you dont need to worry about that. But it just not easy to find& flash recovery and ROM :/ It will work so much faster, but i dont recommend if u dont know what doing...You will probalby lost AirComand(but have solution for that)
And yea,CPU-Z need to show correct info about CPU and chip ,or just try to find some 3hrd app on play store to be sure it is MT 6582(hardwer info,CPU / RAM / DEVICE Identifier, samsung phone info etc)
If you decide to flash, just root and use MTK Tools for backup(it very important)

So CPU-Z says hardware is MT6582 and board is APQ 8084 but it also says Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 on the first Soc tab
Hardware info says the chipset is Qualcomm MSM 8974 and cpu hardware is APQ 8084
Genuine galaxy phone info says CPU hardware is Qualcomm MSM 8974 but no chipset information.
Which one is the right info haha!
I know what I'm doing as far as I won't do anything blindfolded. I don't know a lot about phones, I have more knowledge of computers but I figure there's a start for everything. Somehow this phone may be a blessing in that it'll make me learn about all this stuff. I'll just make sure to know which one is my actual hardware and which rom to take. I'm in no hurry, don't worry. I'll take the time to learn about every step. I know the risks.
I was also wondering which step can actually brick the phone? Is it the rooting access or the flashing of a new rom?
And should I bother with kernel versions?

Has anyone managed to root or flash custom firmware? I have searched, and the last post for this specific model was in august and no one had found a solution. i have access to a pc, but no experiance with rooting other than one click, no pc methods. Kingroot and various other no pc methods have failed.
MODEL INFO
4G LTE using CDMA (Verizon) service
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
WiFi
Bluetooth
GPS
Voicemail, Caller ID, MMS/SMS
8 MP Rear Camera/ 5 MP Front Camera
Size: 3.09" x 6.0" x 0.30"
5.5" HD Touchscreen 720x1280 resolution (TFT)
2 GB RAM
16 GB Internal Memory (Up to 256 GB memory with external Micro SD Card)
1.4 Ghz Octa-core processor
3300 mAh Battery
Obviously, there has been no responses on this model. I have been looking with no avail. If I even knew where to begin working on a ROM for this I would atleast give it the going try, I have two of these and I found a stock firmware ROM that I may be able to use for recovery.
Have you heard anything else on this???

I just got a a Galaxy S7 Edge a few weeks ago an it is only showing 16GB or ram. I thought all of the S7 Edges were supposed to have 32GB ram?!?...am I doing something wrong?

Hello,
You wanted to say ROM and not RAM, there's a lot of difference between ROM and RAM , every S7 edge has 4GB of RAM and it can have minimum 32GB of ROM , it's not possible for your phone to have 16GB of ROM.
Grettings,
SwitchDeath
I think you misunderstand RAM and other memory types.
Probably you are referring to your phone's storage capacity.
There are the specs of S7 Edge https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s7_edge-7945.php
It has 4 gb ram and the Internal storage varies depending on the model, from 32gb to 128gb.
Gentlemen, thanks. I originally meant internal storage which reads 16.00 GB, sorry about the error in terminology. Is the internal storage within the specs of the S7 Edge? Thanks, in advance, Rich.
Go to settings-> device maintenance-> storange and check inside the big circle the storage you have. It should write something like 18 GB /32 GB where the 18 is your remaing capacity and the 32 is your total.
I have this problem as well, not sure why it shows 16GB, I have a 930A flashed to 930U

you need to go to recovery and do a factory reset after flashing a tar.md5 as the stock samsung img automatically assumes that your device has 16gb of storage on every image and factory resetting will allow the system to allocate the actual amount of internal storage the device has.
its ROM not RAM,I have a docomo version also is 16G rom
