I would run the MK2 or NAE tar file from the development section. It will restore your phone to factory setup. However it will install the Knox bootloader. It's likely the easiest path.

Here's the MK2 TAR 4.3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2601443
And the NAE TAR 4.4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663619
As long as the device has a clean ESN with Sprint the buyer shouldn't have any problem activating service. This is the case whether it's rooted or not.

I've seen it take a good few min to push through after running the file. Those tar files need patience.

You might try downloading again. Could be a bad file. Perhaps try an updated version of Odin. Don't know off hand what's noted in the thread. Check the thread for similar issues too. Sammobile has the tar files too, if you want to try another source.

It's worth a shot. Something has to be going wrong in the steps or the file. If the phone was working before.

Just boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset. Reboot and profit.

Hello all so I bricked my s4 when trying to flash my modem back to the one I had before.... Well I tryed to fix it after fail after fail well after flashing a pit file it failed but my phone started to boot well I thought was good ... Until I went to use the dailer and nothing showedup' Apollo don't play music, and DSP manager force close... Any ideas how to fix this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678871
My bootloader ends with NAE
My baseband version ends with MDC
So my question now is how should I go forward so I don't make it worse
Thanks in advance
So what's the problem now? Seems like your phone is working.

Sorta but not really ... Soft bricked my s4 and then got it alive again some how after using Odin to flash a pit file and it fails but I pulled the battery then it booted up fine .... But my audio, dialer, video player, music player, DSP, manager don't work just force close.....
So I'm afried which file to download and it will cause more damage ..... With my boot and baseband different
Since you're already on NAE bootlaoder which means you have Knox. I would recommend to Odin NAE tar and that should solve all problems. Especially after performing a factory reset.

So I tried it using the root workaround for 4.4 NB1 and it failed and now it says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again." I downloaded Kies but it is saying unsupported device and it doesn't sense my phone. What do I do?!
The best bet would be to retry the Odin flash

Re-try the nb1 to mk2 tar flash in Odin. Then go from that step.

Never mind. I realize he said to retry it not to Odin back to stock. Also I took it to best buy and they fixed it all up. Apparently they train specialists there that can even fix a bricked device (I think).

Hi,
I can't seem to root my new galaxy note 3. I am using an international device with 4.4.2 KitKat. During the cache.img process Odin gives an error and softbricks my device. What am I doing wrong here?
(SM-N9000Q
Baseband: N9000QJVUDNB1)
Thanks
*Edit: Sorry about the typo, it's 4.4.2 not 4.2.2
Sent from my SM-N9000Q using Tapatalk
What rooting method did you use?
Why nobody has time to state relevant info when asking for help
I don't know, maybe the same reason why people have attitude when they clearly offer no help at all.
Anyhow, I did not specify it because I did not know there were several methods. I used Odin and CF-Auto for n900 devices. Is there a more reliable way to root Kitkat devices?

I did exactly that with two different Odin versions. The installation got stuck at "cache.img" and failed both times. I used to have an SIII and I thought I knew my way around android and rooting, but apparently not. I'm completely lost here.

You could flash a custom recovery with Odin and then flash superSU.zip in that recovery, that would get you rooted too Link cwm recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454079.

Better check the CWM site i gave you before you start flashing if the N900Q is supported, i don`t see that specific model listed in there as it is listed for Turkey only. I see support for the N900S,T,W but not Q!

Hi All
I have rooted my note 3 with odin successfully, I was looking to install CWM but couldn't find the exact TAR file for the n9005 on lollipop 5.0.
I installed ROM manager which suggests there inst currently a compatible CWM I can use, the only device showing is hlte?
Does anyone have a link if one exists..
Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure hlte is supposed to work with N9005, N900A, N900T and N900P as well as N900W8. I think its unified for all snapdragon note 3s

You cannot / don't have to unlock a Samsung bootloader on SM-N9005. You use ODIN to flash the recovery and you are set. I would suggest this one btw. https://idlekernel.com/twrp/v6.6.5_2016_01_03/
That is incorrect it will fail when attempted
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
It's absolutely correct and the way I did it! SM-N9005 is NO US Verizon crap phone, it's OPEN for ANY modification and just causes KNOX 0x1! IF it's no N9005, then you are absolutley right, there are some variants from ATT and Verizon which are locked and you have to verify that.
