I would run the MK2 or NAE tar file from the development section. It will restore your phone to factory setup. However it will install the Knox bootloader. It's likely the easiest path.

Here's the MK2 TAR 4.3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2601443
And the NAE TAR 4.4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663619
As long as the device has a clean ESN with Sprint the buyer shouldn't have any problem activating service. This is the case whether it's rooted or not.

You might try downloading again. Could be a bad file. Perhaps try an updated version of Odin. Don't know off hand what's noted in the thread. Check the thread for similar issues too. Sammobile has the tar files too, if you want to try another source.

It's worth a shot. Something has to be going wrong in the steps or the file. If the phone was working before.

Just boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset. Reboot and profit.

Terrible after flashing Tar

Hello ever since i flashed the crawjs MF9 tar my lte speed is terrible and my friend same phone stock gets 20mbps where i get 1mbps if that ive flashed different roms hoping to fix it i updated profile and prl still no luck someone help me thanks in advance
Go back to stock unrooted and perform a factory wipe.
Or also on a touchwiz ROM do a ##72786# in the dialer. It reactivates your phone.

First confirm that your baseband and software version say mf9 in about device. If not you need to install the modem again. I have experienced, on occasion, where installing the stock tar from Odin doesn't always update everything on the first or sometimes even the second try. Also what Rom version is your friend using? If your modem is mf9 and his is something else maybe the modem is a problem in your area. I am using it with no speed issues.

See well now i flashed that blue kuban rom so it says
Software version- MDL
Baseband MDL
Kernel is ktoones
Idk where the modem is...
what do you think i should do?? if its the modem where do i find an appropriate one? I kind of want to go back to 100% stock but even when i flash Crawjs mf9 it still says MDL in my settings about.... Could this be the issue? If so what do i do

Can I remove TWRP without odin?

I have to swap my phone, one problem is that you cannot connect the phone to a computer.
Can I remove TWRP and restore the original recovery without ODIN? Maybe flash the firmware if there is a zip version using recovery?
I belive toy can use Mobile odin. There may also be a flashable zip.

I think I should try that just to be safe. Do I need to flash the entire rom ( Im on amdl) or just the stock recovery?
Just the stock recovery. Best thing to do is to search the forums for triangle away, flash your stock recovery after running triangle away. Follow the prompts for that, btw. Then use SuperSU's built in unroot.

You could extract the recovery.img from the tar and then create a zip file from that. I think it would work, but I've never tried it.
I guess the only thing I can do now is either find an AMDL firmware or stock recovery that I can use a zip file to flash it using TWRP.....
Has anyone seen this anywhere?

Sammobile.com has the stock firmware. You'll have to register but it's free. You'll download a zip file. Use 7-zip to extract the .tar.md5 file from it. Use that in odin.

[Q] Reverting from CyanogenMOD back to stock touchwiz?

So, not TOO long ago I used the CyanogenMOD installer app to put CyanogenMOD on my Galaxy S4(Sprint).
I've searched all over the place, perhaps I'm just not looking in the right direction.. Now I'm turning to you guys.
While I like CyanogenMOD I really don't feel as if all of the features you give up with stock TouchWIZ is worth it.
I would love to be pointed in the direction on how to revert back to pure stock.
You flash a tw ROM. It really can't get any easier than that.

How do you do that if the phone isn't recognized by ODIN? I installed CM using their auto-installer and now Odin doesn't see it.
My phone wont boot now and I am trying to re-flash stock but I can't find anything but .tar files for ODIN.
Try reinstalling the drivers. There isn't suppose to be anything but tar files for Odin. Like there aren't suppose to be anything but zip files for recoveries.

I'm not 100% sure I know what the pit file is? I tried Odin version 3.9 I believe, it's the latest one, and I tried version 3.5. Both with 2 different downloads of MJE. And also with the latest kit kat NC4, which I know I lose root with.

I should probably mention the one thing I did do was I kind of used kingo to unroot it thinking it was going to factory reset it afterwards or at least give me the chance to, but all it did was say root was removed. I was still on the leaked NC2 build though so that's when I started trying Odin and the firmware zips. Idk if this could be reason why? Like I said I am in download mode but my info reads as follows now... PRODUCT NAME: Sm-N900v, current binary:Samsung official, Knox kernel lock 0x0, qualcomm secure boot enabled, write protection: enabled.Udc Start, Unsupport dev_type.

[Q] Which bootloader do I have?

Is there any easy way to tell without being able to boot fully? There isn't anything immediately obvious on google. I'm trying to help out a friend, his phone doesn't get past the boot animation anymore and he doesn't know which version he has. I can boot into download/recovery modes but don't see anything that screams MF3, MK2 or any of the others.
Updates: I can get to sideload but don't know if I can install any Roms through sideload without a custom recovery. The recovery right now is stock 3e I think.

Can't do anything from there. If recovery doesn't say NB1 in the corner then it's something before that. Only other way is to just try and flash only part of each one through Odin.

OK well it isn't nb1 so that's good I guess. Which part should I be flashing in odin? I can brick it by flashing an older version through Odin than is currently on there, can't I?

Has your friend ever had a custom recovery on, twrp or cwm? Or flashed any custom roms?

He was rooted at one point and then unrooted. Never any custom roms/recoveries. The phone was working after he unrooted it but for some reason will no longer pass the boot animation.
He was on android 4.3 so does that only correspond to MK2? As far as I can tell it does.

Do you know if he took any ota updates? My opinion is you should just flash the nb1 tar file in Odin. It's doesn't sound like he is still on mdl firmware.Which would be the only reason he'd not want to go to nb1

If my goal is to get CM or any other aosp based rom on the phone will nb1 be any more restrictive than MK2? I haven't found anything breaking the differences between MKx/Nxx down yet.

If he's not on mdl you're not going to get cm or any aosp rom. Nb1 is no more restrictive than mf3, or mk2. In any case you'll have to use safestrap and only touch wiz based roms.
