[Q] Rooting 4.3 - MVLUEMK6

Hey fellow XDA members, I have been searching for a way to
root and install a custom recovery on my I337M, but am slightly
confused about this phone, and I don't wanna screw it up.
First off I am on 4.3 - MVLUEMK6. I also have the Knox app.
Am I able to Root using a certain method? I tried Saferoot, but that was a
no go. I have also heard through my searches of "Kingo", which
I'm hoping to try, given it won't turn this S4 into a brick.
Also in the CF-Auto Root Thread, it states near the Downloads,
that AT&T users shouldn't use it, and go figure I'm on Telus. So also a no go..
Can this darn thing be rooted?!?

The i337 at&t has a locked bootloader. The i337m does not.

the I337M (jfltecan) is NOT the same as the I337 (jflteatt)
i use a I337M (originally bell), cf auto root works perfect
your phone is the same as mine, use cf auto root and flash via odin on pc, it'll work

[Q] AT&T Galaxy S4 SGH i337 4.4.2 Unlock help??

I just bought this Galaxy S4 from someone but the thing is i use MetroPCS and when i insert the SIM card it asks for a pin number. Does anyone know how to unlock it. I understand i might have to root and downgrade but im a noob. Thanks in advance!!!

Do the downgrade and root, and while on MK2 use the "Possible SIM unlock for MK2" thread.

To go from 4.4.2 to 4.3 is somewhat possible, other downgrades aren't possible. There's a thread titled NB1 DOWNGRADE with the information to do that. Check your baseband first, if you're on NC1 you might need to flash NB1 first.

[Q] Downgrade Modem

Hello I a new to the S4 I did have the S3 that I was able to flash and do everything I wanted so Im not totally new to this. I am trying to downgrade my modem to MDC I am currently on L720TVPUBNAF I am wanting to downgrade the modem so I can unlock sim and get the 16 digit password so I can use DFS or CDMA Workshop to get my MSL and flash my phone from Sprint to cricket. I have been able to root the S4 and flash Custom Sacs custom ROM. Whenever I try to Flash any Modems Or AIO Modem I always get Fail when using Odin by or using TRWP on the the phone. Is there any tutorials that show me how from the current Modem I am on or any sugestions. Also I have gave thought to Buying WIreless Workshop Service to allow full flash. But will I still need the MSL Number to do that or will I be able to do the full flash and all my services still work. Thanks for any info or help with this issue. First and for most not possible at the moment. You have the SPH-L720T and the unlock method that currently exists only works for the SPH-L720. So you cannot use any modems meant for the regular GS4 on the Triband version.

Ok thanks. So does this mean I cannot flash to Cricket at this time as well? If so is there an area for that with the version I have?

Also have a triband far as i know sprint only no flashing

[Q] old offline Towelroot no reboot?

Hey guys. I recently started a thread in the general android Q&A but was given the helpful idea to check these parts...
I used to have an apk for towelroot that would root the S4 (i337 or i537) without requiring an internet connection OR a reboot to work! I thought I got it from the towelroot website but I have tried all 3 official versions from there with no luck and am now wondering if anyone here had the same APK I was using.
I lost my copy and miss it

I have towelroot v3
let me know if you still need it

I believe v3 is still the current version on the towelroot website. For me it requires internet, but no reboot

verizon s5 with att sim

I have a verizon s5 and im using an att sim is it possible to flash a att rom since im using a att sim or would doing that brick my phone?

It's not possible, it would brick your phone.

So I would just have to flash vzn roms? Any rom u think would be best

Yes, only Verizon ROMS.

Binaries missing, so not completely rooted.
Hi, I have rooted my S5 g900f with chainfire method it was no problem. When I did a root checker it says that I'm not totally rooted cause my supersu miss new binaries. Supersu by chainfire appears and root only apps also, it's just that I can't give them su access. Could someone help me please cause I'm not a noob nor a nerd. Just a 40yo geek without big knowledge in binaries and roms, just know how to root but I learn step by step. Thanks in advance. Chris from Belgium.
