Either ODIN or you download the update.zip file from the closed thread about it. It wouldn't be able to connect to the American apn/AT&T update as far as I know.

I take it that that's a rhetorical question.

The 4.4 leak is out now but when the official update comes you just have to wait for someone to upload the update.zip file and you can flash it through the stock recovery.

It's been out for a while now. Look at all the NB1 threads in the general section.

Just flash with odin mobile and auto-inject superuser.apk and root it all while flashing. Worked for me.

It might be wrong section, but definitely NOT old news. The Official JB release was timestamped April 22nd, but it hit sammobile repository just this morning.
Great news!

at least 4 hours old @ the time when happily announce "the news" were at least 3 reporting users with official JB installed
After unrooted my 7.7, update ota, success.
So far don't know how to root it. Using rootinh method like in ics, not working, failed when checking signature or something like that.
No multi window as far as i know.
Lock screen like note, with ripple effect, application shortcut, news scrolling. There is smart stay also.

Good news...
Can anybody post a link as sammobile just keeps saying loading..
I want to install with mobile odin and inject su etc to keep root access..
im glad its 4.12 and not 4.2.2 due to the issues mounting NTFS and reading it from apps..
Hopefully theres something inside to be learned for the developers of custom roms to help fix issues..
Why don,t release p6810,version?
AUs
downloading now and is 20.3kb...maybe next week i might have it lol
Would love to see the tab in JB. If anyone can upload a video or screenshots even, I'd be grateful.

How to I maintain root when I flash with odin?
you cant... if you want to maintain the root use mobile odin..
So I assume I am flashing with Odin, then downloading mobile odin, and then rooting with that?
mobile odin need root... if you are in root ics.. just download mobile odin at the original thread by chainfire... you can flash the JB files directly and retain the root
I cant tell If mine is bootlooping or not, the samsung animation keeps popping up over and over circling then pulsing. Before it just stayed pulsing the animation never started over..
EDIT: I went into recovery and wiped the cache and data and now it seems to be booting normally. I assumed odin would wipe the data i guess not..
nope odin only wipe system

Unlocked I9500 Updates

I bought an unlocked I9500 in a duty free airport. Will I be able to receive updates wherever I am? Or do I need to download the one specific for the country I am at the moment to get updates.

Yeah, they should be but I think the 605s only has less LTE bands then 605. But im not sure, thank you anyways.
How to flash ? I download it and flash by ODIN twice both fail
video is actually long tap press issue, which exist in many many android devices caused by not properly calibrated or poor hardware it is not really related to new update
this file host is giving me issues. I've downloaded 893mb and now it has slowed to 10kb/s which i think will probably error out soon.
It doesn't tell me the size of the entire file, it just comes in as it downloads (does that make sense?). Maybe a checksum?
If anyone knows the actual size of the completed file, that would be useful.
don't flash this on a US p600.
with no odin pda for my model to flash back to stock, I now have updated the firmware, bootloader and recovery to the Korean p600 update. that killed my wifi unfortunately and possibly some other things I haven't noticed yet.
any ideas how to get the old firmware back?
edit: I'm downloading the Taiwan ML1 firmware. hopefully it'll flash correctly and work. I'll report back
edit 2: back in business after flashing ML1. whew. won't make this mistake again

Even if you receive the update don't do it. It will rewrite your kernel and i9505 does not fare well with i9505g kernel.

Buddy i am using i9500. I am just asking bcz there are many news to get 5.1 or 5.1.1, and whatever update will 1st came to mr. GPE.
Can't use SamFirm to actually check for firmware because I9505G does not receive its firmware through Kies.
We'll have to wait for the source code or OTA package to be posted so somebody can make use of it.

Can I install this ROM?

So I found this on the XDA home page. It says SM-935A is required (I have SM-935U) BUT I thought that model number mostly applies to which carrier you're using...So if I flash the lates AT&T version via Odin can I then update to this Oreo build? Here's the article:

Thanks. I might hold off till there's a more stable build. If I didn't need to wipe everything I might give it a try.
But in case I change my mind, you extract the update.zip and apply update from sdcard, right?
