[Q] Sixaxis control app - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good day everyone, does anyone uses sixaxis control app on 4.4.2? I'm using it during the last jellybean update. After updating my n4 to 4.4. My controller doesn't respond to my n4. Its always stuck at listening to devices then my ds3 doesn't connect either. I tried reverting to 4.3 and 4.2 but nothing works. I bought another controller assuming i broke my old controller's Bluetooth module but it still not connecting. Any suggestions on how i will fix this?..

Wow.... How do I do that?
I'm so looking to score a Dualshock controller deal this Black Friday. Mine is not working so well now.
There's a couple different apps in the Play Store. Here is the most popular one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...elstudios.sixaxiscontroller&feature=nav_other
Couldn't you also use otg cable to connect with your controller?
Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel

Android has had otg support since 3.1. I'm pretty confident it will still work in 4.2

Yes, it will. It needs root though, if you didnt know
Just tried my PS3 controller with my otg cable and it doesn't work either on the homescreens or in riptide gp. I haven't rooted yet so can't try the wireless option. If this doesn't work it's a major negative, PS3 and Xbox controllers worked brilliantly with the Galaxy S3 and I was hoping it would be the same for the N4.
So far I have tried six axis wireless with root and when it starts the driver it fails, starts the alternative driver and also fails.
=(
No ability to power devices through the usb. Hardware limitation it seems.

I'm aware of a compatibility issue with the newly released Android 4.2 and hope to have a fix within the next couple of days. Thanks for your understanding.
six axis may not be working due to android 4.2, damn i hope it works eventually
Here is the program sizpair makes the pair for the PS3 controller. But there is a problem - BT does not find the controller.
I know there is a problem with the devices connected via BT - does not find. It seems the problem is android 4.2
P.S. My old Nexus S, with no problems to connect PS3 controller via BT (android 4.1).

I'm using a ps3 controller on my nexus 7 running 4.2.1 with six axis and it works flawlessly.

You are using ROOT and third-party software?
But for me it is not an option - because I know that in version 4.1 it works without ROOT!
So it won't work on the nexus 4 even with root?

With the root will work. However, it should be a separate program ists to find it.
I do not understand what the meaning was removed native support for ps3 controller from android 4.2
I agree. When it works it completely transforms the gaming experience. I don't own a nexus 4 yet but I will be placing my order As soon as they come back into stock here in the UK

I've got it to work beautifully by using the six axis app. Dead trigger is amazing with it!

Sixaxis Controller

Has anyone managed to get this to work? Compatibility checker says its fine but it never pairs. No USB Otg is a pain too.
Did you set the master Bluetooth address for the controller using the program on your PC?

I did, but it was to no avail. Has it worked for you?
Nvm. Fixed with a restart of my n4.
It works lovely for me. Been playing Sonic 4 and Asphalt 7 with it, as well as a few SNES games via Snesoid. Much nicer than on screen or tilt control.
Time for Vice City methinks!
I agree. Now if I can get my hands on a slimport adaptor, I'll be all set. Screw ouya lol.

Wiimote and iCP problem

Is it a bug that can be patched
I haven't come across a patch, but I think it might be fixable. Hopefully 4.2.2 will fix it... And all the other USB OTG bugs

N7 and dodge uconnect

hi, wondering if anyone else here is using their N7 with dodge uconnect. Finally took my n7 on a trip last weekend...and while it paired fine it would not stream music. I am running cm10.1 nightlies .
wondering if its the tablet/kernel/rom or uconnect. I also use a Nexus 4 regularly to stream BT audio and it works fine. also on cm10.1 nightlies.
ideas?

Bluetooth Mouse Issues

I ordered a Speedlink bluetooth mouse of ebay and it works perfectly with my Nexus 7 but nothing with my Nexus 4.
It connects and pairs but doesn't show a cursor or do anything with the phone.
Nexus 4 running stock and rooted 4.2.2
Nexus 7 running stock and rooted 4.2.1
Any advice?
Thanks.
Maybe downgrade your nexus 4 to 4.2.1?

Can anyone confirm that they have a mouse which works with the Nexus 4?
I wonder if the level of Android actually is the issue. l also have a speedlink mouse. On 4.2.1 it worked fine with my Nexus 7, as with yours. Now on 4.2.2 it won't connect, and your Nexus 4 is on 4.2.2. It might be that the Android level, rather than the device, may be the issue.

It does seem odd and an unlikely coincidence. I wonder why this functionality was stripped out.
Has anyone got any sort of bluetooth mouse to work with 4.2.2?
