I have recently gotten an Lg g2 and I am having problems rooting my g2. Every time I root it it installs super user but when I install root checker it says I don't have root. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, you have to install the latest drivers from LG. I think that should solve the problem. Also run the root bat as an admin.

For rooting, check out ioroot. It is a bundle of all the tools you need. It comes with an automated root method plus a step by step manual root guide if the .bat or .sh doesn't do the trick. There is the drivers you will need in the thread I'm posting.

Do you know which system files I can rename via ADB shell commands to disable auto-update? I have root access in ADB, but I'm still trying to hold off installing superuser, thereby tripping the root status flag.
Thanks.
Anyone use the king app to root their note 3?
Thanks

This thread will end up being closed, but this works great!
I used it on my Sprint Note 3, and basically rooted as easy as can be. There is a small error with reboot scripts right now that should be fixed in an update later today, but it doesnt interfere with the rooting process

are the system files on the lg g2 stock normally? I just flashed back to stock ui after a hangup while trying to install cm 11, and come to find out that the system data is 8.12gb, is this normal or are there "leftovers" from trying to install cm11? Thanks

To all what had been said. Whilst restoring. Or changing ROM's stock vs custom usually, almost always the system partition gets formatted, cleaned so there couldn't be any leftovers anyways. (not in system)

I was looking at this article, and saw that the method works for the s4 at&t version: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...-wont-get-to-see-how-for-a-while-here-is-why/. When released, will this work with our phone then?
It was already released this post has been almost a year ago. They already fixed this exploit.

What about this: http://www.androidauthority.com/uno...date-breaks-supersu-app-fix-available-333586/. Although it doesn't look like it would be for our AT&T model.

Go to towelroot.com from your phone and click on the lambda to download the apk to root. Then download SuperSU from the play store and install the SU binary.
