Do you know which system files I can rename via ADB shell commands to disable auto-update? I have root access in ADB, but I'm still trying to hold off installing superuser, thereby tripping the root status flag.
Thanks.

Devs are requesting not to use flashify. It has caused some instances of bootloops. Occasionally probably from user error, it writes to the wrong area. Just be warned.

I don't think goomanager works. Last I knew if you try it says no recovery found.

You could maybe try freegee app on the play store. It says it supports this phone. I haven't heard of anyone using it yet. Maybe hop on irc and ask

i manually found the file in goomanager and downloaded. Im just scared to to try from there. I cant afford a brick right now.
Goo will download it but it won't flash. I downloaded with goo and flashed with Flashify. Just make sure you're doing the right steps.

Flashify works fine
Tmobile variant here
Some devs werent promoting flashify because people were flashing the twrp by using "Boot image" not "recovery image". Using the recovery image flash works just fine.
Works
Flashify works perfectly on T Mo LG G2. As noted, use flash recovery function.
are the system files on the lg g2 stock normally? I just flashed back to stock ui after a hangup while trying to install cm 11, and come to find out that the system data is 8.12gb, is this normal or are there "leftovers" from trying to install cm11? Thanks

To all what had been said. Whilst restoring. Or changing ROM's stock vs custom usually, almost always the system partition gets formatted, cleaned so there couldn't be any leftovers anyways. (not in system)

how do I manually install them?
and on the Verizon forum
Insert them into System/lib/modules then reboot
I don't suggest using something for another device on the AT&T S4. Especially when it is still in beta.

I have recently gotten an Lg g2 and I am having problems rooting my g2. Every time I root it it installs super user but when I install root checker it says I don't have root. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, you have to install the latest drivers from LG. I think that should solve the problem. Also run the root bat as an admin.

For rooting, check out ioroot. It is a bundle of all the tools you need. It comes with an automated root method plus a step by step manual root guide if the .bat or .sh doesn't do the trick. There is the drivers you will need in the thread I'm posting.

Go to towelroot.com from your phone and click on the lambda to download the apk to root. Then download SuperSU from the play store and install the SU binary.
