If my friend really does have the china variant..how can we enter download mode in order to flash in another rom? I tried holding down volume down, power and the home button but it only goes into a test mode!!
This is a forum for i9300, nothing here will help with Chinese clones. Use Google to identify the phone and search for other user's solutions.

brought i9300 (used, cracked screen) online for mobo replace of my old bricked phone, can anyone tell if this phones a fake or not?
im not with the phone atm, i got my brother to take pictures, it doesnt have a samsung boot logo, it goes straight to the "android" logo,
i would like to know ASAP, to see if i can do anything with the seller. get my money back or something (i highly doubt)

thanks for the help, when i said to the guy it was a fake he told me he did an imei number check and it come up as a korean samsung (i dont believe him) , is there anyway i can prove that its a fake? i want to be %100 sure before i start

Try fitting some Samsung Accessories to see if it fits? Search on Youtube "Samsung Galaxy S3 Korean" and compare it with your phone and send the seller the video. I hate fake phones!

hmm thats not gonna cut it, my old s3 is a i9300, and this "new" one claims to be a i9300, but its completely different, and doesn't have the samsung boot logo, just comes up "android", should this be enough? cause i9300 is the international s3, so how could the korea i9300 be any different? does a korea i9300 even exist?

A Korean i9300 does exist. But once it shows "Android" as the boot animation, It's automatically a fake as Samsung never distributes phones that show that (that I know of). Get your money back! :fingers-crossed:

My brother bought one of those too during a travel. Korean Samsung IMEI as well.
But then he came back to Belgium and our local GSM/3g network provider blacklisted his S3/IMEI...

EDIT: seller gave refund, he'd been ripped off himself, so he tried to get rid of it on gumtree. Phew. thanks again.
look trying not to be rude but need advice bought a note 3 cheap says it does 2g and 3g i new it was fake when i bout it so i took the risk it boots up like a note 3 android 4.3 works fine the pen is ok no complaintes the only problem is I have tmobile and it gives me 2g only i would like 3g do to finaces thats what i bought any how the question that i have is it does not have the downloader to flash new rom and now i have lost recovery its rooted and turns on ok able to use it but should i keep it or send it back if any one know of a site for flashing roms on fake phones would help would like to keep it can i replace with original bootloader aka downloader mode please your input is apricated you guys have helped me in past many times and have been great thanks so much.

This is why I made sure I bought my Note 3 off of a known good seller from Amazon instead of some cheap online Chinese cyberwarehouse (like neverbuying). Caveat emptor

Depending on the model of it, there may be a thread on XDA about it. Similar to the (faked) N9006 version. - Or Jay's link.

I was in a bind with a broke phone and had to purchase this one. Unfortunately I am thinking that this was not a good idea as with this phone I can't seem to get it on a network higher than Edge. No 3G or LTE.
Does anyone know if the 5006 is different with the hardware or should I just try an custom ROM?
Any help is appreciated as I can't seem to find anything on the 5006 model of the Note 3

Sorry i missread your post for the N9006 initialy, try to get your money back from the shop if they sold it to you as a Note 3.
Hello guys i dont know, i have been searching all over google and i cannot find anything that helps me weel the truth is i dont understand much of rooting and roms etc etc... I know little... So its the following i have bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 mini SM-9006V from fastcardtech and the phone has numerous problems:
- Unlocking by sliding to the menu not working only by camera icon.
- Contacts get all messed up when i scroll down
- Youtube videos wont play
- Phone is too Slow
So my question is: "Is there any tutorial on how to install a rom for this clone ? "
I need a good rom for this chinese phone compatible with its model and a tutorial on how to do this ?

There is no support here for clones. It probably has a MediaTek chipset, in which case it won't be compatible with anything in the S5 forums.

Nah it's valid. He put money into a device that has zero support from the company. Unless he spent less than $100 USD, he might as well have gotten a low end device with similar specs that actually comes with support from the company.

Go to needrom[dot]com you'll find lots of ROMS for Chinese phones. I had the same phone as yours and I'm currently looking for the right ROM so help/notify me if you got one :good:
