I have a question about rooting - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
Since I am new here and am so curious about rooting, I would like to ask some question.
As I learned so far here, my note3 cannot be rooted without tripping Knox.
In addition, I can root with CF-Auto-Root, but I knew that it does not enable me to use the adb.
Here a question goes
Do I have to use that method without being able to use the adb?
or
Is there another method that I can ponder to rood and that enables to use the adb?
Oh.. here is my phone's stats
AP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CSC: N9005XSADMJ2
Many thanks guys

Use cf auto root for a knox tripping root( knox safe root not available for your firmware)
It wont enable ADB INSECURE, adb is usable without root.

I did not know that I could not use the adb after rooting with cf-auto-root.
So I wanted to ask more about another way of rooting that enables me to use the adb.
Is it still the same?

You ALWASY USE adb, no matter if you're rooted or not, please rrad my previous post.

Root without tripping Knox is not possible with your Firmware. My Knox was Tripped only by using KIES Emergency Recovery... Nice one -,-

Rooting question

Hi Guys,
Ive recently purchased the note 3 and wanted to root it. Ive looked through the forums and am slightly confused on how to root without tripping knox. Can anyone advise on which method is applicable to me? My phone details are:
AP: N9005XXUBMJ3
CP: N9005XXUBMJ2
CSC: N9005OXABMJ3
Ive searched various threads and some say I can root using URDLV, others say I cant and people have had problems with firmware MJ3. The same applies for the Kingroot thread. Can anyone advise?
Thanks
Kingo shd work on mj3 from what i read, but ive never tried myself.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will have a look and see what I can find for Kingo.

[Q] root n9005xxudmj7 with out tripping knox

Hi, I've read posts about rooting without tripping knox but im worries about the kingo method because of malware concerns. I would like to use root de la vega but it doesn't seem to support my firmware n9005xxudmj7 and the thread is closed now. Has anyone managed to root this version without tripping knox. I can provide more details if needed
Wont work
Sorry for you

Don't think it will be achieved... is anyone even working on it? - I don't think so tbh - if you can live without warranty take the plunge and trip that bad boy. If not, then you'll have to make do with your note the way Sammy wanted it to be.

Dam, thats really annoying.
There must be loads of people with my phone wanting root, I'll happily donate to someone for a solution. I'm sure others would too.
Guess I should have done my homework more thoroughly before buying
Think I'll just take the plunge as radicalisto suggested
May I ask your preferred method for rooting (last question i promise )
Anyway thank you massively for the replies.
All the best
Maybe when android 4.4 breaks root there maybe renewed interest on rooting without tripping knox. Or maybe there are different vulnerabilities that will allow root, as I believe 4.3 to 4.4 is a big update.
I for one, will wait for 4.4 before i root. For now, i'm happy with stock unroot.

[Q] Will rooting MJ6 with Kingo give Knox 0x0?

I'm on the MJ6 software. If I were to use Kingo, would my Knox still be 0x0?
Nope, from what i read it will trip knox.

Think the exploit was closed after MJ3 - so don't think it works... I may be wrong however

Damn! Stuck without root then
Might just **** Knox off.
Yeah, installed CF Auto root

[Q] I'm so wondering if my phone can be rooted?

I am very new to this forum, the android-based phone and rooting
I have read lots of articles about rooting Note 3 with and without Know tripping and am still puzzled...
I will be really appreciated if someone gives me some info about my question.
1. The version of my phone is
AP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CSC: N9005XSADMJ2
2. Is there any possible way to root without tripping Knox so far?
3. If not, is there any way to downgrade the version so that I can try to root without tripping Know?
Plus, I purchased this phone at a phone shop outright so it is not under contract to any telecom.
Thanks for reading it

Wait... What does that mean being an EU citizen you don't need to worry about knox?
It means you are better than any other person outside EU.

Eu law stated that rooted phones shouldn't invalidate warranty unless the rooting caused the issue.
It's mentioned a few times in these forums. So I presume that is what is being referred to here?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda app-developers app
Canada also doesn't care about rooting and its not even a law. Although, to correct you, EU law doesn't say you can root and have no consequences unless root causes the issue, it say rooting can be legally done but the OEM has the right to deny warranty whether you are rooted or not.

[Q] How to root MK2 without tripping Knox

Hi Guys,
I just bought a new Note 3 because I lost my old Note 2 somewhere in the snow while skiing...
Now the question of rooting popped up of course.
My AP is N9005XXUDMK2
CP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CSC: N9005DBTDMK2
I did some hours of research through the forum but I created this thread to clarify.
As far as I understood there is the possibility to root with chainfires method, but this WILL raise the Knox counter.
So is there any possibility to root without tripping Knox? I would like to not touch my warantity yet as the phone is really brand new, and maybe somebody finds my old Note2 and returns it to me
thanks and regards
For the time being, there is no method available with which you can root and keep knox 0x0 with latest bootloader. Check the urdlv thread.

For the moment I would suggest waiting a few more weeks before voiding the knox warranty
That is exactly my intention too, at least a few months I want to keep my warranty.
Can you give a link to the udrlv thread?
