HELP!!!! My Galaxy SIII updated the software and this afternoon....new look, and some feature changes. Now unable to access Wifi from home and many problems. Is anyone else experiencing trouble with Smart Stay and power drainage from phone?
Questions go in the q&a forum, but use the search facility first as these issues are covered in many posts already.

Hi everyone sorry to make a topic but I can't find the one that I think addressed this. I think the last build I used that had a consistently working ppp connection was a bangster cm6 but unfortunately I can't remember because I'm constantly trying out new ones. Right now I'm using FRG 83 and HyperDroid Sense 1.1. I also tried out others but I had the same problem. Is this a new kernel issue?
Sometimes I can switch to wap.voicestream instead of the epc APN but eventually that will cut out too.
Pls pls don't flame.

The issue isn't that you opened a new thread but where.
Thread moved to HD2 Android General Discussion forum.

So I'm just gunna sneak this in here cuz I expect really knowledgeable people to answer. I've been reading through a lot of build threads trying to find a good one that might not have this issue and I see people saying stuff like "wow! This build has only frozen up on me like three times! And I've only had to do two battery pulls for screen locks!" But, these are problems that were fixed in mid-September...and now internet doesn't work. I feel like a **** being critical of any of the work on this board...but it almost feels like one step forward two steps back. Am I crazy? And then some people are asking when wifi tethering will work...but it does work...wtf...I feel like a ****, I really do but what's going on?

There is no official updates anywhere in the world for the Galaxy Tab (either P1000 or P1010) to Honeycomb (3.x). That means you will have to load one of the pre-alpha testing versions of the custom Honeycomb ROMs such as those produced by oldmacnut and other Tab developers.
Unless you really really really really know what you're doing (and a post count of 2 doesn't make me optimistic), I would not recommend trying this. If you really want to, search the Galaxy Tab Development forum and read up heavily before you try this.
As I have said to many before you, please actually search the forum before you go posting questions like this one. There have been many users before who have asked the exact same question and reading those threads first would've made creating this one irrelevant. Also, providing a lot more detail will get you much further. Telling us what ROM you are using at the moment, what you have tried, how much experience you may have, whether you are using Windows/Linux etc and what exactly you want to upgrade to would make us far more likely to help you.
But most of all, search the forums before posting a new thread.
I was thinking it might be helpful to make a separate thread for general discussion. I was seeing a lot of chatter in the main thread, which can get annoying when looking for help with ROM issues. And to keep the ROM thread itself solely for bug reports etc. As it should be.
I'm hoping this can be a place for helpful discussion and general chat about the ROM.

Really nice initiative, but regarding only to missing apks and personal likes i really doubt this thread catches the proper attention.
So i invite anyone with your findings and experiments with kernels and stuff in order to make it worth it!
Looking forward to this

Hello
Sry for writing in this thread for bug report. But i have no permissions to write in dev forum so far. i'm using anonorom v16. VoIP doesn't work well. (Tested with fullwipe and reinstall.of.skype and tango) my gf can't hear m voice. I've trieed anything but it doesn't work. She can't hear me speaking to her (on video calls same.problem). And the gallery app is lagging alot. It needs time to load and if i want send a pic fast via whatsapp it needs to much time to select the pic. Sometimes there are lags in menu too. Can't tell you how but it happens. I've never restored system data from old stock rom or something. Am i the only one that expierence these problems?
edit 07.12.2012://
updated to anonorom v17
thankfully the anonorom v17 is based on the official release so VoIP now works!!!
in v16 you got also camera bugs (no focus and zoom) but in v17 is ok!
Sceen Issue
When the screen turn off and it is doesn't blocked yet when I press the home key to turn on the screen instead of just screen turn on I return to home screen. Already tried v18, v19 and v20 and still with the same issue.
I hope someone can help me. Sorry for the bad english
Hello everyone. I must apologize if this thread does not belong her. I just desperately need help. I have posted a similar thread in another category but I think it didn't get much attention so I'll repost it here.
"I have ran out of options and finally decided to take this step, not really sure if it will work but still hoping though that it will. I have come here to ask for help from developers and people with great knowledge in these things. Here is my situation. My friend bought a gmate+ device abroad as a gift for me here in Philippines and unfortunately, this device can only be used in the country it was bought in. After reading things in the manufacturer's site and contacting them (they have a very not-so-satisfying customer service, sorry to mention this), it seems that there really is no cure for my case unless I have it ship back and ask for refund then buy a new one here instead, which is also almost impossible because I do not have the receipt(the item was just given to me without any receipt) and I do not know exactly from which store my friend purchase it(and according to him, he is also unsure from which store exactly because he went shopping for things as gifts not in just a single store or place). So to make the story short, I now have a useless piece of device which could have been really great for my Nexus 7 if only it works. The gmate+ is a device sold by the company Skyroam. This is a bluetooth device which allows an Android or iOS running gadget to have the ability to use GSM service through it via bluetooth pairing and software. I do not know if it is really hard, but I'm thinking ( actually hoping and praying ) that maybe somebody here could do something about my case, perhaps build a workaround via a software/app. I would really appreciate it if anybody would take time to work on this project. Additional info which may help, if anybody's interested, I'm running the stock update Android 4.3 for the Nexus 7 2012 (now rooted via wugfresh's toolkit).
Thanks and more power! "

Sorry about that. I kindly request that this thread be moved there. Or should I re-post it there instead?
No do not repost. A Mod will move it soon enough.

Hi guys,
I have been looking around for options to dual-boot on my Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F. I have not been able to find anything... All of the options stop at the Galaxy Note 3.
I have looked around on the Google Play Store and the apps that allow you to dual-boot are the apps that don't support the Galaxy Note 4 or Samsung devices at all.
Has anyone found anything, or can anyone find anything on this subject? I'm not bricking my device as a guinea pig to see if any existing method works. A lot of effort replacing my phone through insurance and putting everything back on.
Ask here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447534 this is for SG4 but also works on N3. Maybe it will work also on N4.

Thank you for your response quick response... Whilst this does answer most of the questions I do not think that there any any custom kernels for the Galaxy Note 4 that support the dual-boot function as of yet. I will have a quick look, followed by a more thorough look followed by a head-butting of my keyboard.
Thanks!
You're welcome ☺
