If you look closely you will see that the pictures in fact state a different ui than the thread you are trying to convert to!

I was hoping to start a discussion about the 4.4 KIKAT UPDATE ONLY and keeping the D6503 THREAD CLEAN ABOUT IT since, this is a Xperia z1 GENERAL thread, and we all want the options or talk about what our z1 will/can get with that update, instead of starting to fill the other thread with "CAN I HAZ 4K PLEASE?" that is already flooding, also when that one started it was more about the hardware of the phone
Jeez, sometimes people think they are mods or that they are smart than others instead of just read and understand what the f*** someone is talking about

Lord help us! I am tired of this 100 threads about this Z2 "Sirius" jumping between shadows. Wee will not see anything to september. Are we get tired before that?
I've noticed that there's a lot of stuff coming which Samsung has had for quite a while now, like gesture controls etc.
I think it's not a bad idea at all! Keeps smudges off of the screen, at least a bit!

today I got an OTA update notice about a firmware update (size 8.7mb). As I have rooted my phone I really dont want to install it unless I get something useful. The update info just says "improved stability".
Has anyone tried to install this update and knows what it adds?
How are we supposed to know it? You did not tell us the region or carrier? You did not mention your current firmware version?

Look under settings/about phone.
Here you find your current firmware details. If you combine this information with what carrier you are using and try searching either XDA or simply Google it I'm sure you will find something. There are lots of forums out there that does nothing but discuss these things.
In short, search!

So I am not tripping. I noticed it being quite a bit smoother after my update. Which is scary. I can't imagine how smooth it can be with Jelly Bean.
But as has been said this update might be an old update .
Update with no details of what firmware does not exist and is a pointless post and for all we know may just be yet another dumb hoax .

I got this update the same day I bought my S3, i.e. four days ago and it's no carrier branded in any way. I bought it unlocked to use with my Telia contract I had from my Gnex which I no longer use.

I did get the update via OTA but no information regarding firmware or such, just "performance upgrade".
So here are my findings so far:
The battery time sucks, big time.
When you insert head phones you don't get the notification that phones are inserted. In notifications you don't get the start music options that were point before the update.
The included screenshot is my present phone data.

As you may or may not know me frm the One X forums, but I like designing home screens, and you can find my latest and all either in the Home screens thread in the Themes and Apps section, or on MyColorScreen
My latest there is a home screen that mimics JB 4.1 Notifications, found here
As you know, Google has released Android 4.2 JellyBean, and has implemented Native QuickSettings. Presented with a challenge, I'm going to try and mimic those Notifications too, but I'm gonna need your help. My device currently does not run JellyBean 4.2, but yours probably does, so here's what I need:
1) Download an app called 'Notif' from the Play Store
2) Create a few notifications with it, of various types
3) Take a screenshot of the notifications with these Notifications present there.
4) Take a screenshot of the Quick settings.
That's it, just 2 screenshots, of would be preferred of provided in Full Resolution (DropBox etc)

That's said many things. But i don't think it is applicable in this case because this is the first time someone is porting s note and all to aosp lest he would have ported it from an already ported s note from note 1 to our phone. If you know what I mean.

But that is easily editable with build.prop tweak.

Present a rom and prove everyone wrong. Put a screen shot of s note on cm10.1 or anything that you have ported. Because anything like that has never been done before.

the ROM is SO SMOOTH!
it has a LOT of new things... daydream, ability to custom select quick settings, etc..
looks good finally it looks like a 5 inch screen when its transparent
i hope they add led time out option
Wasn`t the 4.2.2 ROM supposed to be on kernel version 3.6? I saw in the screenshot that it is still version 3.4.

if it possible to answer if we can access the camera while we have a pin code or security pattern ?? or if we can add a widget to access the camera while we using pin code/pattern ?? I hope they add this feature to 4.2.2 (the lock screen is useless while we using pin code , even we can't use different wallpaper for the home screen and lock screen when using pin code/pattern )
