Its almost completely fine, there is a tiny scuff on one corner (amazingly) anyway I was just asking in case there's anything I should worry about. The phone appears to be OK and has been used since then and is typing this, but I'm worried about any damage happening inside the phone or any damage to the battery. Will my phone be OK? Thanks

It's pure luck that your phone survived such fall. I think you should bring it to store and check.

Any local store that has the expertise.
I live in a country with lots of local store that can fix, replace broken phones so that might not apply to your case sadly

The ringke fusion case. I have no idea how it managed to save the phone as it isn't particularly big or bulky, but it did .

Reminds me of the time I was out on my mountain biking and got cold hands so pulled my gloves out , at the same time my phone also came out.
Hit the concrete did at least 30 flips and slid across the floor 10 to 20 feet.
I walked over to it expecting the worst. There wasn't a single scratch on it . The case had stood up proudly.( cheap one )
Then I read on this forum that folks have smashed the back glass just by putting it in there jeans pocket.
Seems like some devices maybe have a better build quality then others.
We must be the lucky ones.
Also from the U.K maybe they ship better phones here . Ha ha

My iPhone had a much less drastic fall and was destroyed.
Also dropped my Note while cycling. The silicone case took all the shock so my Note is still in a perfect state.

haha, btw, i also like your survive like boss analogy!. but certainly my note is more lovely!!
my note fell twice already. once from a normal table down on the hard ceramic floor and once from the bed down on the wooden floor. not a scratch. having previously owned the HD2 i've come to expect that kind of endurance from a smartphone, and the note didn't dissapoint.
U guys r lucky. I dropped my note once and the top has a small chip. Heavy phone = larger impact

Still using it because the display and touch is still working. I live on a farm, so to get to town is a day trip to get it to a repair shop.

I was even more lucky. I was at a small rock koncert yesterday. And ive been jumping around as is custom for that kind of music. But sudden i get a feeling that im stepping on something. Answer to your first question "why do you have a smart phone?" is " what's it to you ??? and you said " i don't get it " and answer to that is " he doesn't need you to understand why he bought his galaxy note" as that is none of your frickin business.... HOPE YOU GET IT NOW....

Hahahaa that made me laugh...
Well I dropped once on a ceramic floor while forgot that my headphone cable was still attached as was pulling it and it literally flew off lol and second time on wooden floor ..My note is like as new hehe Though using a hybrid case..
So i just bought the note 2 a few weeks ago and desided to give me brand new never scratched mind condition S3 to my girlfriend. In 5 days she dropped it between the elevetor crack and fell down 9 floors !!!
When we finally found the phone (thanks to the elevetor guy) i checked the phone several times in detail and found that the only thing that was broken was the glass in front of the screen the screen worked perfectly (i could still use the phone btw touch worked) .
Samsung i love you..

I love Samsung and I believe S3 is pretty resistant. Depends on how is dropped. But she should had very bad luck and dropped the phone on the bezel in order to fit that space between elevator... that's why I want to see the elevator.

I just bought a nexus 4 on Tuesday and have been literally babying the phone like I would a baby. I have heard all the issues of a cracked back screen from wearing tight jeans etc. and it has me worried. Are those unfortunate defects just a manufacturing process gone wrong, luck of the draw? I've have my Nexus 4 for a few weeks now and it's not as fragile as everyone was making it out to be, at least not the newer models with the 2 bumps on the back.
I have that version and the back doesn't seem to be glass. Tapping on it, it makes a different noise in comparison to the front. I'm probably wrong.

you're partially correct there's a plastic back and there's a glass back, I'm guessing the glass one was left over and the plastic is for the newer models being pushed out.

So today I flipped open my case and my digitizer was cracked on my less than 2 week old N7. Won't let me unlock or anything. I have not dropped or otherwise damaged it. Has this happend to anyone else? Manufacturing defect? I also noticed last night that on black screens there were some red splotches. I believe it and no have not heard of this happening. If it was a drop, there would be a clear dent or shatter marking on that line before it splits into two. Just talk to google or where-ever you bought it from and try to keep calm. When glass breaks, it shatters and not produce hairline breaks like that.

ahaha, nice!!
is Asus charging you to repair that device?
The nexus 7 has a very weak glass.
Mine got hairline crack from twisting.
Most drop test videos show it breaks on the first drop.
I have replaced first unit, waiting until local repair guy can get parts from his usual source to get first one fixed. May try contacting google/Asus about a repair but have not done that yet.
