So I just attempted rooting my nexus 7 (2013) the other day and after the unlock process rooting wouldn't process through (no SU installed). Anyway I was trying to flash back to stock using the nexus root toolkit. Now my tablet will not leave the bootloop mode, I can scroll through recovery, rebooter etc. but none of them work even with power>up vol., it will go to the black screen with google logo with a lock at the bottom but just freezes at this screen till I turn off/on. Any help would be much appreciated I feel like I have tried everything I've found to no avail. I have dl'd the 4.4.2 (KOT49H) factory image and tried the CMW recovery twrp but nothing is working.

Im running the stock ROM, rooted, wanted to back it up before I install Paranoid Android, restarted to bootloader, chose Recovery Mode (mine is CWM, flashed with mskip's toolkit), and suddenly it froze on the unlocked bootloader's screen ("Google" and the opened lock underneath). Hardware buttons don't work, the computer doesn't see the tablet. Is there a way to restart it and fix the problem? Thanks for your help.
Edit: Solved it, long pressing the power button for about 10 secs restarted it...
I just just updated to TWRP 2.3.2.1 flashed the 4.13 bootloader and flashed scroslers 4.2 rom, while Google Play was restoring my apps the screen started flickering and there was white noise coming out of the speaker and then the screen just went blank. The only way I can get it to power up is to plug in the USB cable, doing this it powers up on its own and boots in to the ROM and then in a minute or less I get a flickering screen and the unit shuts down again. I have tried to get into recovery and it always shuts down before recovery starts. Any ideas?
Edit: Got into recovery did a complete wipe again and reflashed the ROM but the N7 shut down again as soon as TWRP started installing the ROM.
Try the nexus 7 toolkit if you can get your nexus to be on the time you need to flash stock and after that see if it remains on. If not, lock up and get it fixed

I tried (clean) flashing a droid concepts build over on droid-hive a little while ago and everything went ok when flashing. I tapped reboot system in twrp and the screen went black and didn't boot. I can't get it to boot consistently either into the os or into fastboot. It'll occasionally let me into recovery and I tried restoring a backup and also just rebooting from recovery and it won't boot at all. When it is plugged up, it'll show the charging icon when I tap the power button like it does when the screen is off. I've tried everything I can think of. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Edit - I finally got it into fastboot and I flashed the stock google image. Its working now.

Hey Xda friends,
I'm super stuck! So on my 2012 Nexus 7 I rooted it and installed a custom ROM 5 months ago. The rom started resetting the device randomly so I wanted to go back to stock and start over. Whenever I go to the Fastboot screen (P, V+,V-) it allows me to scroll through the options (recovery, start....) but the moment I plug in my usb it freezes. Recovery doesn't boot on the Nexus 7 w/o a USB. And now when I try to go through via the OS it doesn't bootloop but rather freezes then resets after 3 seconds once the Rom is running. Does anyone have ANY idea how to fix this?
Hello, i have a nexus 7 (2012) that started to act weirdly. restarts a lot just after booting. i tried to flash it with factory images, reinitialise it, hard reset it, flashing custom recovery, nothing.. it returns to the same position like it was frozen on that state. i tried also to delete some apps but they return after restart. it seems to be write protected or something. btw, the bootloader is already unlocked. please help
