I just just updated to TWRP 2.3.2.1 flashed the 4.13 bootloader and flashed scroslers 4.2 rom, while Google Play was restoring my apps the screen started flickering and there was white noise coming out of the speaker and then the screen just went blank. The only way I can get it to power up is to plug in the USB cable, doing this it powers up on its own and boots in to the ROM and then in a minute or less I get a flickering screen and the unit shuts down again. I have tried to get into recovery and it always shuts down before recovery starts. Any ideas?
Edit: Got into recovery did a complete wipe again and reflashed the ROM but the N7 shut down again as soon as TWRP started installing the ROM.
Try the nexus 7 toolkit if you can get your nexus to be on the time you need to flash stock and after that see if it remains on. If not, lock up and get it fixed

I tried (clean) flashing a droid concepts build over on droid-hive a little while ago and everything went ok when flashing. I tapped reboot system in twrp and the screen went black and didn't boot. I can't get it to boot consistently either into the os or into fastboot. It'll occasionally let me into recovery and I tried restoring a backup and also just rebooting from recovery and it won't boot at all. When it is plugged up, it'll show the charging icon when I tap the power button like it does when the screen is off. I've tried everything I can think of. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Edit - I finally got it into fastboot and I flashed the stock google image. Its working now.

So I just attempted rooting my nexus 7 (2013) the other day and after the unlock process rooting wouldn't process through (no SU installed). Anyway I was trying to flash back to stock using the nexus root toolkit. Now my tablet will not leave the bootloop mode, I can scroll through recovery, rebooter etc. but none of them work even with power>up vol., it will go to the black screen with google logo with a lock at the bottom but just freezes at this screen till I turn off/on. Any help would be much appreciated I feel like I have tried everything I've found to no avail. I have dl'd the 4.4.2 (KOT49H) factory image and tried the CMW recovery twrp but nothing is working.
Hello people,
I have a German Nexus 4 and it gets stuck in bootloop whenever I turn the power on.
I've had issues with the phone since the last few months - i.e. random reboots, random program crashes.
But recently I tried to root it in order to install the Android L developer preview. It was during the booting process, when my Nexus crashed and it has been unable to boot ever since.
When I push all three buttons (power + 2 volume rocker buttons) simultaneously, I get the fastboot screen.
Choosing the following options has these effects:
Start --> phone tries to boot but gets stuck in bootloop forever and ever
Restart bootloader --> restarts the fastboot screen
Recovery mode --> phone shows the robot with an opened belly and a red warning sign (see photograph)*
Power Off --> turns the power off
Also, it is NOT detected or recognized by my Macbook when I connect the Nexus via USB cable. So it's impossible for me to access the phone via my Macbook.
*This is the screen shown when I try to go into Recovery mode in fastboot:
[can't upload outside link to image]
So this leaves me with no options as I never get further than the 4 turning circles forever and ever.
Is my Nexus 4 broken or is there still a chance to unbrick it? (I have a MacBook, so Windows programs won't work for me)
Of course it's not possible to recognize it when OS is not running.
Download WugFresh toolkit, ADB drivers (Universal) and the factory image. Enter fastboot, connect USB and flash the image
Your phone is not hardbricked, because it boots into the bootloader.
It might be recovered if you can access it with fastboot.
Try uninstalling all related drivers and install the Naked Universal Driver.
Thanks for your replies!
Unfortunately, the programs you mentionned don't work on my Mac (they seem to be Windows-only).
Also, how can I install stuff on my Nexus? Since it is not recognized by my MacBook, I can't load any files onto my Nexus.
And since any command on the fastboot screen only leads to the phone powered off, restart of the fastboot screen or the mentionned bootloop, I cannot perform any actions on the Nexus ...
Go to a friend with Windows.
Problem solved!
Somehow after the 1000th bootloop I finally reached the screen where I could wipe the phone.
And then it finally booted! Now all the data are lost and it's like a new phone, but at least it's working again!
How long was the boot loop? Was it the new boot animation from L?
Because when you flash L, the first boot up may take up to 15 minutes, leading you into thinking it's a boot loop.
Hi guys,
My nexus 10 suffers from a weird power issue. Because when i turn it on it shows the google splash screen, but after few seconds it flickers and will turn off. I turn it on again, then the same problem occurs for the Nth time. Then if I try to boot into custom recovery (TWRP) the same flickering and shut down happens. Both I tried with and without the charger connected to the tablet..
But when I try to boot into bootloader, bootloader mode is normal, the screen does not flicket and stays on (maybe until the battery depletes its juice).
Does anyone also experienced this? My Nexus 10 is running on Android 5.0.1. Can someone help me to revive my tablet. So many precious pictures of my baby is saved on the internal memory of my Nexus 10.
How can i back-up those precious photos and other files from the tablet to the pc via bootloader mode? I supposed, It might make my tablet back to normal function again if i reformat it.
Help me please.
Thank you guys!
