hi, I have a car that only accepts usb flash drives to play songs, when I connect my s4, it won't recognize any folders.
so I installed drivedroid, created a blank image and copied some songs into it, so my car will recognize this folder as a mass storage device, and now it's working.
problem is that I have some songs on my music folder, and had to copy the same songs into drivedroid's image.
is there a way to access the folder that drivedroid creates from the phone itself, so I can use the music player with it?
where's that folder located?
thanks

hi,
i use a 512 mb SANDISK card for my mp3z. a while back i used file explorer to access the card and thus deleted around 4 tunez i got tired off listening to. i then resumed using my media player and while listening i was rather surprised that the file i deleted was still there. i further discovered that all the 4 song files were still present. so i used file explorer again..etc. the thing is; when you use file explorer either through the unit or through the laptop (using activesync) the 4 files were not present. but when i use media player the 4 songs would still appear. i clicked on "properties" for the song and it said that the location of the file was \storage card\recylced. so the question here is; how do i access this folder to completely delete the contents? or does this mean i have to reformat the card?
cheers
Hey,
Can u tell me what name of the folder with pre-installed songs is ? I've erased them, so now I don't know where I should transfer my music into (from PC, via USB). Its not "music" for sure, 'cause it doesnt exist...
Thx in advance.
Shouldn't make any difference. On my DHD i have several different folders with music. The phone scans through the whole SD card for files. Can't see how it's different on the Note, but if the Music folder doesn't exist, then make it yourself.
OK this is not about transferring files like music or photos, I'm want to transfer rome for PSone, gameboy, like .bin or .cue etc.
Kies only allows music, photos and docs.
I tried android file transfer but it can't recognize my device
is there any other way to transfer files?
thanks.
I use WiFi File Transfer without any issues.

Android File Transfer!!
Its very easy and its simply dragging files to and from your computer to your phone internal memory or its sd card!!!
I tried using AirDroid etc, but it takes too much time!!!
Hello,
I use a microSD to transfer music files from laptop. I do this through a USB cable to the phone, then selecting File Transfer USB mode on the phone. I put everything in a MUSIC folder I created.
In subsequent connections, some/many of the previous music files and folders on the phone do not show in windows explorer! As if they do not exist.
The files/folders do exist and play fine on the phone. They also are visible from the phone's file explorer.
I use Huawei's music player app. It may be related to the issue described above (by somehow hiding the music files?).
Any ideas?
Thanks
As said in the title, the apps on my friend's Galaxy A5 don't detect the media files on the SD cart, whether they are music, pics or videos.
I can both see and open files on the SD card by using the Archive, but neither stock apps nor installed apps detect them (for example: music files don't get detected neither by Samsung Music nor by Poweramp).
I tried an app that can force a media rescan called media.Re.Scan (duh) and while it detects the files during the rescan I still can't detect them. I also looked for .nomedia files but none of there were there.
Thanks in advance.
