Hey,
Can u tell me what name of the folder with pre-installed songs is ? I've erased them, so now I don't know where I should transfer my music into (from PC, via USB). Its not "music" for sure, 'cause it doesnt exist...
Thx in advance.
Shouldn't make any difference. On my DHD i have several different folders with music. The phone scans through the whole SD card for files. Can't see how it's different on the Note, but if the Music folder doesn't exist, then make it yourself.

Newbie question again......
Having come from the WinMo world where i had custom ringtones/notifications for different people and message types , is there a way to do this on Andriod ? after looking around it appears that there are a few stock notifications etc... and thats it ....

Get Ringdroid from the Market.
You just have to create the appropriate files on your SD card.
When you plug your phone into the computer, set the option to read as a drive.
Open up the drive and in the SD card should be a folder title "media." If not, just create it. Inside that folder create separate folders titled "ringtones" "notitifcations" "alerts" and "alarms" Place the appropriate mp3/wav files in those folders and when you unhook your phone from the cpu and try to set ringtone/notifications etc, you phone will include those with the stock ringtons/alerts etc.
Also if you want to ad movies, videos etc, just create a "videos" folder on the SD and the stock video player will read them off the SD. They have to be mpg4 format I think.

i have 3 different music downloaders, i am trying to clean my sd card. Can i move all 3 music download files to just one file folder??? also, i have NAND Android installed on my hd2, but some folders called .android_secure, android and application Data. Do i need these files stored on my sd card?
Yes, you need your app data and android.secure folders. If you delete them, either some apps will lose data or not work, or the folders will be recreated anyways, or both.
You can move your music downloads into another folder, but your music downloading apps will likely recreate the deleted folders and put your new music downloads in them again.
Personally, I download all my music from fetchmp3(dot)com thru the browser, and they download to the 'download' folder. Then I rename them and move them to a folder named 'Music' on the root of my card.
I prefer all my songs to be in one folder, since I use TinyPlayer and it doesn't scan the card for audio tracks, it's directory based so I have it set to my 'Music' folder (so much better than having to deal with a playlist littered with ringtones and system sounds)

yeah, my music player does play my notification/ring-tones, Why is that?
Its because it scans the entire phone/sd card for audio files. Theres ways to 'hide' ringtones and system sounds from it, but its a pain. Thats why I just use TinyPlayer.

Hi all,
Not sure am I only one have this problem. Let say I have mp3 songs with image tag of the singers. Everything look fine on my PC, then I copy over to the Note 3 SD card.
Using my note 3 in music player or file folder, some of the image tag is incorrect, for example Will Smith photo appear in many of the chinese song or song which is not belong to him.
I copy the same file back to my PC, the image tag is correct.
I try delete the ones on the sd card and copy again from my pc, still the same probvlem.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Hope I can find some answers here
I have tried all the advice given in Hardwarezone but still unable to solve it

Because your OS creates them automatically.
You shouldn't remove them permanently in my opinion, but here's how to do it:
Let's say your folder is named music .
In order to prevent its recreation do the following:
Delete music folder
Create an empty file named music (It has to be the exact same name. Not Music etc.)
Done
There cannot be two files with the exact same name, which means the folders cannot be recreated (yes, folders actually are files in linux' world).
I save Songs and Videos in Songs Folder and Videos Folder created in MicroSd Card inserted in my Samsung M30s.But they disappear after some time. How to keep them secure in these folders?
Maybe you have some service enabled on your phone that wipes memory from files not used for a certain period of time, or moves them to the cloud. You know your phone best yourself. Did you connect the microSD as external memory or internally?
Which might be that services? Can you name some for an example?I connected the MicroSd as External Memory.
Look first in this application, where you have selected a directory in the external memory.
You can also move files to another location on the microSD yourself before they disappear in the location where they disappear.

Thank you ze7zez.First I shall try moving these files to already existing folders in the Sdcard watch whether they are disappearing.Afterwards I shall report the result here.
Do not use directories that the system or applications have posed.
Create a DATA directory yourself and move files to it.
Thank you ze7zez,
As you advised,I moved the Video files to the Movies folder and the Audio files to the Music folders. You know these folders are designated by the Phone itself whien I inserted the MicroSd Card for the first time. Then I watched for a day to see whether the files are disappeared from these folders.I found that those files are there still in these folders. Now I want to know why these files vanish from the folders created by me?
Describe /the actions you perform/name the applications you use/ that place files in directories where they later disappear.
I used File Manager Plus Application to move video files to Videos Folder and Audio files to Songs Folder. These Videos and Songs Folders were created by myself in the Sdcard. And these files were moved from the Send Anywhere Folder in the Sdcard itself. And to my dismay this Send Anywhere Folder itself was also created by myself in the Sdcard. Also the files in this folder remain in tact. They won't disappear.
So did the files disappear from the "Send Anywhere" directory?
What application placed the files in "Send Anywhere"?
The files did not disappear from the Send Anywhere Folder. They are still there since 3 days. This SendAnywhere directory got these files by transferring from another phone using Send Anywhere App.
