I've tried to root my device using the SafeRoot method but a message saying that something has deleted the SuperUser just appeared... I didn't root my device, nor increased the knox counter.
Have I done anything wrong? I've read everything more than 10 times before doing, I don't think so.
I've already tried twice...

ask that something what deleted the superUser (RLY?) to restore it...
I had a dream.... a dream, i which people asking for help would provide the minimum level of the information needed to help them, or at least to assess their problem...
but no, the reality is harsh, still I see the messages like: My phone suggenly fu...d up, please help. No model. No firmware version. Nothing.
Well, I think that a man who stated that the intelligence amount for a planet is constant, while the Earth's population is growing, was about right...

Please provide the link to the thread for saferoot for international i9505 (not for the Verizon's S4). As well, it clearly states that it is NOT supporting any custom Recovery and/or custom ROM.

I have flashed this rom. Everything works very good. Browser is much faster in downloading and rendering the page. System UI animates fluently and smoothly. Many small functional flaws are patched. Almost perfect.
The only problem is I don't know how to root it. Neither z4root nor SuperOneClick works. I also tried Chainfire's CF-Root:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=885734
No luck. After flashing the CF-Root-TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1-v3.3-CWM3RFS kernel, my P1000N refuse to boot. I can see the boot up animation and the system show the lock screen, but touch-screen doesn't work and the system soon crash/reboot.
Maybe I should try other cf-root kernel? any advices?

Neither Superoneclick or Cf-Root is going to work for you since you have
P1000N --- Latin Model. Cf-root is for generic P1000 only
Please take a look in this thread for further information.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=974408
it looks P1000ZUJP8 is newer than JP7
I also flashed this firmware to my p1000n from Keis.
I can´t root the tab with SuperOneClick. GingerBreak don´t work.
I supose Cf-root don´t work because the locked bootloader....but to unlock bootloader you have to execute chainfire´s apk like root.
One solution should be to flash an unlocked bootloader.... but which one?
The good news is, humberos has released cf-root porting for P1000N.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124224
I will try it after somebody has successfully flashed it.

sorry sir, a little off-topic.
may I ask where and from which carrier you bought your P1000N.
I live in China and I bought this device from local vendor, smuggled good (much cheaper than that sold by Samsung China). I'd like to install and update my device using official Kies. But I don't know where to download it.
On the back of the device, I see the following print:
MODELO : GT-P1000N, SSN: P1000NGSMH
thanks in advance.
The Title is a bit misleading- it says "official" but then later it is from samfirmware. Since when did samfirmware provide official firmware?

ATT wasn't even able to unlock my S4 Active yet, they're not setup for it until next week. Tech support scheduled a call back Tuesday so they'll give me the SIM unlock code. I plan to use this on Tmobile like I do my Note 2 and my ATT service ends July 1st. Hurry up guys, I need root and AWS unlock!
Love the phone, but I found that if there's any water in the headphone jack it will put the device into headphone mode until you blow it out.

You are seriously confused. I'm not quite sure exactly how one would even become so confused and still be a "Senior Member". However, before you try to correct another active and contributing member of this forum, let me help to set you straight. This thread that you brought back to life is several months old. The S4 (ACTIVE) has it's own forum now and has had one for a while. jd1639 was correctly pointing out that using ANY method that roots the SGH-I337 (AT&T S4) will more than likely brick the S4 Active. He clearly was not stating that XDA, as an entire forum, is not safe. He was referring to the differences between phones and how they are not the same. For future reference, check a posters previous posts to see how active they are in a community before you jump their ***. And please, don't bring old posts back to life if you have nothing new to contribute to them. It clutters the board and confuses people that are not "Senior Members".
For anyone that reads this thread, IT is several months old and is about the S4 ACTIVE, not the SGH-I337 / (m).
Mods, please close.
Please take all Active S4 discussions to the new device forum for that device
Thank you for your cooperation

Hello,
First i want to say that i really like the forum!
I've read a lot on your forum because i am new to android and got my Note 3 for a week or 2 now.
But i cant figure out if it is possible to root my Note 3 because i cant find anyone with the exact same firmware as i do, it shows:
AP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CSC: N9005OXXDMJ7
Is it possible to root using Kingo (without tripping KNOX)? i believe it is not possible through Root de la Vega.
Kind regards,
Robert Buchel
Edit: i've placed this in the Verizon section but it is a non carrier version so maybe this topic could be moved because i cannot delete it.
im sorry
yes you can root with kingo and claims have it that it doesnt tripp knox..
but after root. you might wanna instal supersu from playstore or chainfire website. and remove kingo su. hence kingo is asian< so you might wanna run with chainfire after root..
hope goes well!:good:
Thanks for your response
I believe it is also possible through odin?
I cannot send the link because I am a new user but anyway.
I've send a message to this guy and he says it doesnt trip your KNOX ether and he runs MJ7 as well
I dont really know the diffrence (exept for the method) but i will try Kingo this evening.
Thanks again for your response!
yes you can root with odin..only if your firmware is Ml9 if your on MJ7 then better off with kingo.
it doesnt work. it keeps saying:
"An app has been forced stopped due to an unauthorized attempt to access system settings. Check now?" No other info is given.
I've got a check box to not "check" again for 30 days. Other choices are to cancel and OK. If I click "OK" it takes me to ALL APPS.
I don't know what to do now
edit: if i pressed ALL APPS i had i warning that it maybe harmfull to install unauthorized software but i had an option to press intall (mktcamera) and it rebooted but im stuck on waiting for device.
I've tried serveral times but i will try on a windows 7 machine later this day (im on windows 8)
Well i've tried Kingo a few times and also on windows 7 but with no succes :crying
At the end of the proces i get an message saying that the exploits do not work and it is not possible to root my phone.
There is an option to continue but that will ward my waranty.
I Guess i have to wait.
I saw 1 other method (odin) as i mentioned before but i am not 100% sure that my KNOX keeps at 0x0
I know you posted here hoping for a positive reply, but you also know that you mistakenly posted this in a Verizon Note 3 forum. With that said, if you have a VZW Note 3 with the VRUBMJ7 version, Kingo will root the phone without tripping Knox in my experience and what seems to be the experience of many others on this forum.
Now for the bad news that you don't want to hear. There are quite a few versions of the Note 3 that Kingo cannot root yet (one of them being XXUDMJ7), and Kingo has acknowledged this. On top of it all, Kingo also says that there is a 1/1000 chance that on the note 3 you may trip Knox during the rooting process.
Something to think about down the line if you know the version you have can be rooted but yours doesn't root for some reason, I had to use a USB 2.0 cable plugged into a rear USB slot on my computer to get Kingo to root my phone. The front USB ports did not work and neither did the USB 3.0 cable that came with the phone when I tried to root my phone at first. Others may have had other experiences, but those are mine.
44394448
Yes i am sorry that i posted this topic in the wrong section.
Thank you for letting me know your experiences.
It didn't work with usb 2.0 ether.
I guess have to wait till someone posts a new way or upgraded kingo to root my device.
Umm...

I think I did everything ok, but I can't understand
Second:
Software: framaroot
In framaroot 1.4.1, any exploit gives me this message: "Faile ... Try other exploit if available". In 1.6.0 or above, the program crashes with SuperSU and Gandalf, and gives the same message in other configurations.
Also, I've tried with unlockroot one-click-"something", but nothing
Please, help me understande this issue. Thanks for the help

Hi everyone,
Today I am posting this thread because of some idiots who are now sharing pre-rooted firmwares for SM-G361F that are full of bloats.
I am sick of that, this is why I upload the archive of the first pre-rooted firmware I got that was at least clean.
You can download it here: https://mega.nz/#!oqpRhZJZ!B18uTiB3TH-QfChoqjgWCNmaPjqInPZbFyI4u9-T8s4
Note: This firmware is ONLY for Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-G361F devices with AOG1 build.
Of course I don't own the firmware and I didn't root it, I just keep the right to upload it.

Of course I don't own the firmware and I didn't root it, I just keep the right to upload it.

Although I have no use for it, I did test it out and...
...I bricked my device.
Nah, I'm just pulling your leg! I tested her out and she is perfectly functional. Much better than that, what was her name? Andro-Woman? Or was it Andro-Man?
She seems like a woman to me.
Much appreciated and thanks alot, Hank Cyclone, which is your new nickname.

Glad to hear that worked fine for you (actually there were no reason for this to not work...).
BTW why she? Is this your new girlfriend now?

Pre rooted
Hey,can you find SM-G361F pre rooted version for this device?
BaseBand G361FXXU1AQA1
Build number G361FXXU1AQD1
I can't find it anywhere
I love what you're doing. All other pre-rooted ROMS are full of trash. Could you make it for G361FXXU1APA3?
Hum... OK guys thanks for the love but I have to remember you something.
I am not a developer yet and truly not a ROM unbloater: I didn't "disinfect" the firmware, I just reuploaded it (well after a fast check, I found I've already prevented about that, just read the thread please...)
So no dudes I can't do that, sorry. I COULD eventually do that, removing bloats and extract system image to make a flashable shouldn't be as complicated, but I do not have time.
Sorry to disappoint you.
Hey Atronid, you rock! I have the AOL1 but intend to give it a try cause I already rooted it but it's full of bloast. Do you know if I can flash another pre-rooted firmware considering I did this already? could this be harmul? -brickful? )-

I don't think doing this will brick your device, but careful. Ensure the usal requirements are here (OEM unlock, USB debug just in case...) and you made a backup, also in case something goes wrong.
But if you're rooted you got plenty tools that can remove bloats from your device, but I hope you're not easily scared because once removed system may spam that the bloat you just uninstalled has stopped. You can get rid of that by just rebooting your phone.
So you don't need to reflash any firmware if you just want to clean your phone up.
Yes, you're right. The problem was that the apps I tried to remove other apps weren't the right ones, but now that's sorted thankfully On the other hand, as I couldn't find an Android 6 ROM for my phone (not even a sorry recovery.... ) in the end I set my mobile to install new apps on the sd card by default. Actually it works similarly to the app Link to SD, so a part of it is on the SD card and the rest (like the data it generates) in the device storage, despite all the tutorials sell this method as "Installation directly on your SD card". You need a computer and official Android development tools (SDK). In case it's of any interest for anyone I'll include the tutorial I followed, but it turns out I'm not allowed to post links yet, so the title of the article was Cómo instalar aplicaciones DIRECTAMENTE en la tarjeta SD from androidjefe website. In English, How to: Force Android to automatically install apps to SD card from softonic website
I hope it helps

Read first post. I don't think it will work if you have a build other than AOG1.
And you should not use TWRP to flash like this. Use Odin and Download mode instead.
Will this rooted firmware work with my SM-G361F phone? Need advice...
Hi there,
Will this rooted version work with my phone?
I'm new here and need some help and advice re Rooting this Samsung phone SM-G361F - I'M NO TECHIE but have ability to following instructions and make connections etc. My phone details are below.
Baseband G361FXXU1ASC1
Build LMY48B.G361FXXU1AQD1
Patch level is 2017-4-01
Security software version ASKS 1.2_161011
I did once try rooting a Samsung tablet using Odin and it all worked OK, but that was a while ago.
How important is it to get the identical build or baseband? Anything else I need to check?
I was trying initially trying to change the phone's MAC address, as I was experimenting with the phone, however I could not use an App to do this as it stated phone that the phone needs Rooting first for App to work. Also tried Terminal Emulator app but it kept failing to work as I was probably, unable to input the text commands required correctly.
I hope someone can please help and advise me on this.
M
Kind regards
