Hello, how can I disable the home buttem to wake up the screen,in 4.4.2
Normally I go to gipokeys, and then remove WAKE,but this does not work on 4.4.2

I think wanam exposed support 4.4.2 now
You can use it to disable HB wake
Go to system then buttons then you will find it there

So if I don't want to use Wanam, then there is no way to do this now?

I need this fix. #drivingmenuts

Me three - convinced Wanam has been causing frequent crashes on my phone (forcing hot reboots), so need another way to reliably disable the home button wake. Agree - the gpiokeys method doesn't work on Kitkat, it seems.

[Q] Wanam Xposed settings that don't work

Are all the Wanam Xposed settings supposed to work on the Note 3?
"circle battery" and "all rotation angles" work for me but these don't do anything:
- enable keyboard symbols
- remove camera sound
- 4 way reboot
If that makes any difference, I'm rooted with the "de la Vega" method (preserves knox)

Mine is ticked, and some settings of wanam actually work for me (circle battery for example)
I don't think everything in wanam works for the N3, did you turn on symbol keys and turn off camera sounds with it?

I have turned off camera shutter sound, and it's worked. One problem I had was the sound was still on the startup logo even though I disabled it. Then I found out Wanam wasn't ticked in xposed.

That's odd... Do you use a custom rom? I rooted with "de la vega" which doesn't trigger the knox flag, I wonder if that has something to do with it. I don't think these mods required a deodexed rom, do they?

I used the Vega method to. No custom ROM. 4 way boot works for me too

Actually 4 way reboot works for me too (I didn't realize the menu only comes up after pressing "restart")
So the only 2 things that don't work for me are No Camera Sounds and Symbols on Keyboard. I can actually mute the camera sound if I turn down the volume to 0 before starting the camera app, but that's not a great solution.
I still don't understand why it didn't work from Wanam (the logcat wasn't helpful) so in the end I manually modified /system/csc/others.xml to add the symbol and shutter sound option.
More info here if someone else has the same problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46496735
PS: I think the "Note 2 Hidden Settings" app would work too:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steinapps.note2hiddensettings
4 way reboot works for me also, but... Wanam worked for 1 day, and thats it.
After the first day Wanam couldn't get root anymore, while other programs don't have any problem with root.
I gave permission once more, but couldn't get it to work.
Finally I deinstalled it.
For me a lot of the things I have tried work on reboot, (camera no sound, no carrier label, 4 way, ect.). Only problem is they only work for a bit. They almost always revert back on next reboot?

NaBar Button action

S-View Cover [Fixed]

I bought a cheap unofficial S-view cover (identical to the original one even for the container box :good for note 3 and working fine in android 4.3 like official samsung original cover. But after OTA upgrade to 4.4.2, it was no longer working( just working awhile as soon as it had 4.4.2 and then gone). I googled it and many people were having issues with third party assessories and then i gave up my hope for that unless i installed xposed framework (S-view all cover). A few days ago , may be just too lucky or accidently it was working perfectly again and thus i just want to share the fix here. Very simple indeed
Steps
1. Shut down your phone
2. Remove the cover
3. Remove battery for a few moment and put it back
4. Power on again (before you power on, make sure you dont open up the cover)
5. Done!!!
Things to note
~You must have any S-view cover with a chip at the back inside (If you dont have the cover without chip, try to install xposed or other working custom ROMs. I installed xposed framework and tested on my N900 and it was working but cant touch anything or swipe over the cover)
~Better not to restart your phone...... when the power on, it may not be working again (Shut down your phone and power on again)
~Always remember, whenever you want to power on again , first close the cover up
~Shut down your phone with cover closed ( Touch it over your cover)
~Working in rooted or non-rooted state
With that module you can make "not OEM" covers work, but....

You can't install Xposed Framework, to install S-View ALL the covers -module on non-rooted phone.

My solution doesn't require Xposed Framework. So it doesn't need to be rooted.

Soft Keys

Hello, I have a SGH-I337 S4, rooted, running Hyperdrive RLS21, with safestrap . The menu and back capacitive buttons recently stopped working, intermittently. I tried the software update ( *#2663# ), with no luck. I was trying to enable soft keys to always stay on (on the bottom of the screen) , but I couldn't get that working either. I have been using Pie Control, but I am looking for a better solution. This is currently my backup phone.
Does anyone know how to enable soft keys? Or any KK ROMS that allow soft keys to be enabled?
Thanks
It happened to me after I flashed my i337 with stock rooted OK2 room from NC1 kitkat rom. I found a lot of posting about missing soft back and menu key after they got their lollipop update, but I did not find any working solution for me. I tried to use softkey enabler but it made my screen smaller and sometime the phone refused to turn on. Had to press power button about 10 sec to turn the phone on. So I odin back to NB1, rooted, installed flashfire and flash the stock rooted OC4 rom and the softkeys are working again. I am sure it is not the answer you were looking for but I just want to let you know what I did.
Thanks for the info. I tried your method, but they still stop working at random times. I tried softkey enabler, it would install, but never show the soft keys. The keys started to act up on their own (it wasn't right after an update)

If you'd tried my method, the softkeys should be working after you odin the NB1. The was no issued reporting for softkeys on kit-kat. If yours are not working in kit-kat there might be a hardware issue then.
After installed the softkey enabler, the phone need to be rebooted. The softkey enabler shrink the display in order to show their softkey in the bottom of the screen.
I do believe that it's a hardware issue. They would randomly stop working on stock NB1.
I installed softkey enabler, and got an error message (Unfortunately, The Android system has stopped). I had restore a backup to get it working again. I installed Navigation Bar from Developer "Just Relax" from the playstore, and that seems to be my best option.

OK instalL. GBox for KK and downgrade version.
Alright, i got it working. It seems like gravitybox doesn't play well with the Rom I was using (Hyper drive). I restored an old backup i had of stock rooted nc1 and it works. Now i just have to decide if having the navigation bar is worth using a stock rom.

How to disable back keylight on physical hw keys?

Is there a rooted app I can download to set illumination of the back key lights to zero without having to use a script? I'm also open to flashing a magisk zip or using an xposed module if there are any. Thanks for any answers you have.
Never mind, I didn't know it could be done through gravitybox until today.
