I don't care if it will break the root, as long as it fixes it so Yeah I'll like to try.

Go here and use the no ADB access section. worked like a charm for me yesterday. tool about 1 minute. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696

[Q] Install Recovery Image

On my HTC Hero when I flashed it to a new ROM I used this guide which is all done on the device.
I'm about to upgrage a friend's GT540 for him and wondered if there was a similar way of doing it?
Can I install the recovery after rooting the device? Or is the only way to find a Windows PC and install fastboot?
Thanks.
Yep windows pc cus u need to use kdz

Thanks bs828.
Was hoping it was going to be as easy as the HTC
we all did
the flash_image command can only be used after we flash a custom rom. i tried on the stock v20e from lg does not work.....

It should work if you push the flash_image binary to your rooted device. Try with this:

Accidentally Formatted Nexus 7 (2013) OS... Please help...

Can anyone please help me get my OS back? I was attempting to upgrade from jellybean 4.3 to Kit Kat 4.4 and i knew i needed to wipe but i accidentally wiped the internal. Now when i reboot from recovery it said no OS.
I've unlocked and rooted, i have TWRP on my Nexus 7. I've been researching for answer, tried a few things and ended up confused.
I need guide... I need Step by Step, links to get the files. I'm not sure where to get ADB or SDK or whatever to make my computer pick up my Nexus 7... I need new Kitkat rom, new SuperSU. Please help me!

Flash Stock rom, and if you have the 4.4 OTA, you can sideload and then root..

Been there done that. As the post just above me says download the Nexus Root Toolkit. Follow the directions. Only tricky part can be installing the drivers. Also make sure you are installing JSS15R before you put KitKat on.
If you have a mac you'll have to download the Android SDK download some tools and make a folder with ADB and fastboot in it to flash back to stock. Then you can install TWRP, root and install kitkat.

I just pointed you to the right direction..
As a rule of thumb, its best before you fiddle with an Android device, to be prepared in case of an epic disaster..
Always find out how to flash back to stock before playing around.. Take your time.. and make PLENTY OF BACKUPS!

How do I remove TWRP recovery?

I just got my second hand Nexus 6p and the bootloader came unlocked and TWRP is installed.
The updates don't work when TWRP is installed so I want to go back to the stock recovery.
How can I achieve that?
Build number: MMB29P
Android 6.0.1
January 2016 patch.
twrp has nothing to do with not being able to take an update.

You can't. Android updates are programmed to load their updates through recovery automatically that is if you have stock recovery loaded. If you have recovery such as TWRP loaded, it will go there instead but fail

Not OTA updates no. You have to return to stock recovery then the update will load itself.

You can't install OTA updates with TWRP recovery. You can't take an OTA if you're rooted either, you'd need to flash the factory images to update. I have instructions in my guide:

It would be a good idea to read all the forums for the 6p before posting. This particular question has been asked numerous times probably at least once a day for the last 3 months. And there's always been a proper response. If you read the forums you will also gain information and knowledge for your future with these things.
