hi. my dad has a lg optimus l5 ii dual e455. recently i recognized that the phone takes a lot of time to fully charge. i checked with cpu spy app and it shows that the phone consumes max cpu at 1001 and doesn't go to deepsleep. the phone is not rooted and it has stock 4.1 rom of LG. also i checked the phone while not charging and it goes to deepsleep very well. can anyone help me and give me any idea to solve the problem. the wifi gps data and all these such things are off. i can not recognize what app makes the phone consume the cpu while charging. i know there is an app named betterbatterystats that shows partial wakelock but it needs root and i want to solve the problem without rooting. if anyone has any idea please help me. thanks

Hi,
I bought a Galaxy S4 - GT9505 and before a few months ago. After updated to Android 4.3 (official firmware) I have been facing a lot of problems, such as battery drain and the main problem is when I have wifi or mobile data turned on, and when battery is at 60-65%, for instance, my device shutsdown randmoly. And then I try to reboot but it goes to samsung logo and then reboot again and so on. My only option is to connect to the power or usb and then I can reboot. When I do this It starts charging in 60-65% so it recognizes the real battery status.
So, could you please help me with this issue?
Thank you in advance.

I also have this problem. But in my opinion - if you have custom ROM with custom kernel (read below):
#Your phone reboots (before reboot on the screen you can see 4 lines, glitching...)... - It occurs If I set CPU to maximum speed (2.3ghz). So if I use 2.16ghz speed - it occurs rarely...
#You say that your phone sometimes boots twice - I just ignore it and pull batery out/in and that's it... You don't reboot your phone so often...
# Battery drains fast? Check settings, there is "battery usage" and shows which program uses battery most.
!!! Always use "Battery saving mode" on galaxy S4 - it does....NOTHING except saves battery, and very well. I haven't noticed any performance reduction...
#Not sure, but do you have battery isues? If yes, go to recovery menu (yep, shut down first) and wipe cache ETC... I read in forums somewhere that if you want to calibrate battery, just charge it fully, than pull out the battery, WAIT about 5 minnutes and put it back... Not sure about this method, check google
How old is the s4, did you buy it brand new or secondhand? If its secondhand hand to you It sounds like your battery is coming to the end of its use able life.

Hi,
My S4 is brand-new. I bought it on August. Do you think I should replace the battery, even if it only happen after the upgrade?
Thank you.

Not sure, but I read somewhere (sorry for my inaccurate talks) in forums, that different modem helps to save battery... Mabye you need to search something like that?
i changed the phones battery i noticed that it is acting weird. i fully charged the phone and this morning i took the charger out and in 30 minutes without touching it it dropped to 95% and from 7 am until 4 am the battery is now at 26% without even touching it. what happens is when i look at it it says that is still 95 but then when i go to settings/battery then it changed to 26 out of nowhere. i tried putting the old battery but still no go.i tried installing a custom rom and kernel and i even tried 4.2.2 stock and 4.3 stock and even changing radio and i looked online for help but same thing happens. i dont know whether is a battery problem or a software or hardware problem. i really need the phone working and i was wondering if someone had the same problem and also if you used to charge the phone with a wireless charging station because i saw something about using it and then not getting enough power from stock charger. i bought it on ebay and the previous owner had a wireless charging if it helps and he told me a new battery would fix the blinking red light of death. any fixes for this? here is the video of the weird battery problem and it is on airplane mode and safe mode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlFqagJ2v-k here is another video of how slow the device detects the battery drain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Blz68xgQcDU
Install the following app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.betterbatterystats
You can find a free version that works just as great but I personally like this. Charge to 100% then just use it normally. After it drains, open up the app and see what wakelocks there are. You can Google them and it'll tell you what to disable or uninstall from there

I have a problem like yours... during the night my phone drain 10-15% of the battery in airplane mode... i've tried to install stock rom, clean install of cm11, some kernels, UV and UC... nothing works...
Last night i went to sleep with 93%, after 8 hours i had 93% but after 5-6 seconds it dropped to 81%.... no sync, airplane mode, greenify on all apps...
I've also bought a new battery... nothing to do... it can be can hardware problem?
Thanks

Well the graph has started from when the phone was at 1.2Ghz... The battery life just doesn't get worse.. Its the same with 1.2 and 1.9.. Just some minor differences.. There is less heat and low performance on 1.2 and on 1.9 the phone heats up quite a bit but the performance also increases considerable.. But it doesn't seem to affect battery life..
Vikram: Firstly, its bad manners to hijack someone else's thread. You should start your own if you have a question.
It's hard to say if it affects a battery life, because your graph is over the span of two days. One single charge and discharge cycle is sufficient to demonstrate any issues. In any case, it may be unrelated to your overclocked processor, I would install the wake lock detector app and start from there.
Hello everybody,
I noticed wierd wakelocks that I have never encoutered before, such as BT_bt_wake, sec-battery-cable.
I figured that the first wakelock is related to the Bluetooth, so I unpaired the devices in the Bluetooth menu, and it seems to fix the problem at first, but then when I unplugged the device from the charger, I noticed it has returned... I need to turn on/off the Bluetooth every time to make it go away.... I don't think that it's a wise/permenant solution to do everytime.....
The second one was running when the phone was charged over night and stopped when I unplugged it(atlest I think it was...), and saw that the phone was using the cpu the whole charging time! it was using the 250MHz frequency for about 9h 49min!
I'm not sure if it's good for the phone or not, but maybe you guys can tell me if I should be worried about this or not.
I ran search for the BT_bt_wake, and couldn't find a solution for that wakelock, the model is N900, 4.3, not rooted and I think it's the MK2 version.
I need your help to solve those problems.
thanks in advanced!
Up, help please, the problem with the BT_bt_wake is really annoying me....
Hi all, I have a problem with the phone i gifted to my GF. Her LG G2 during the night (only the night!) drains a lot of battery, sometimes even 60 or 70%. This happens both with KitKat and Lollipop, with wifi on or off, with airplane mode on or off. I tried even to reset the phone and install just 2 or 3 popular apps. I sent it to LG support and they changed the battery and the radio but the problem is still here. So I tried to root the phone and I installed setcpu to limit the cpu when the screen is off, and with this method the battery consumption is only of 8-10% (not perfect, but at least better).
So, if I ask LG to change the chipset they will do this? Anybody had the same problem? How the hell is possible that this happens only during the night?
Thanks.

Use an Application like BetterBatteryStats.
Install the apk.
Open BBS and it will prompt you to install it as a System App. Do it.
Charge your phone to 100%.
Unplug your device, turn the screen off and go to bed. (Don't touch your device during the night).
When you wake up, unlock the device and open BBS.
Sift through all the dropdown menu options, and take note of any services or apps with a high percentage.
Post results.
