Hey, So my Nexus 5 did finaly arrive a few days ago.. (Pretty damn awesome device imo) very happy owner.. anyway, So I have had a bootanimation prepaired for the Nexus 5 for weeks but could not try It.. so finally I got the chance to try It and tbh, I think It looks amazing!
I Dont know but maybe some of you already know what I have done.. or atleast stumbled over one of my bootanimations I've done for mainly Nexus 7 but some have also been ported to other devices like Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus and some HTC devices I think
So what I have done here Is a "New" version of the very popular Particles bootanimation I made for the Nexus 7 first gen.. I Have made It In better quality but It wont be exactly the same as I had to redo everything from the beginning.
So here Is what I have done, I hope you guys enjoy It as much as I do

UPDATE 2014-01-22
*Made some small changes in the bootanimations loop.
*Added 5 after Nexus for those who want.
*Manage to make it smaller *hopefully without changing the quality*
Download:
Flashable .zip:ParticlesNew
Bootanimation.zip:Bootanimation.zip
Old animations without the 5!
Download Flashable .zip: ParticlesHQ
Download Bootanimation.zip NOTE:If your going to use this one, do not forget to change name to just bootanimation.zip: ParticlesHQManually
Sorry for the big filesize (33Mb).. I could not find another way without loosing the quality so if anyone have a idea or know how to make it smaller without loosing the quality of the pictures, pls let me know Thanks!
Let me know what you think!

Thanks for the great work.
This is the second boot animation I actually want to keep on my phone besides the fixed stock Google boot animation :good:
Here's a gif of the new one:
(sorry for the random flicker halfway through, dunno why that happened)
It's fairly nice, although personally I still like the old one better. dunno why. something doesn't sit right with the new one. maybe the size of the particles or something? I dunno xD
here's the old one:
Can you upload the old one maybe? As flashable

I will take a look at the old build of the animation and see if there is any difference.. It could be the camera view that is the biggest change.. I don't really know☺
Bootanimation updated!
*Smaller file size.
*It now says Nexus 5 instead of just Nexus
*Some small changes in the bootanimation loop.

Amazed at what people can miss. Not to be a peni$ here, but this feature has been there since HoneyComb on my other tablets.
This is my first Android phone, so I cannot say if phones had it prior to ICS. I don't even know if other ICS phones support that, but this being a tablet and I can attest that this feature is not new and has been there since HC on old tablets.
What would be a neat feature is:
1. Add an icon to swipe. Just like on iPhones. I learnt how to modify those swipers that I made my own: with my girlfriend's pic, my pic, my motorcycle, my car, my ***, etc, etc.
2. Gesture unlock just like in Win8. Doodle on a picture to unlock the device. This looks like fun.

Hii, all. First of all this is just a preview of offline charging animation.
Why am i doing this?
Well i think theres almost no custom charge animations (or i dont like them). So i decided to make some minimal and fresh charge animations. Im at school and made these three for now (Gonna make many more, because more we got, better it will be). I got some free hours between the lessions and im bored
Modern, minimal and creative is what i will mostly focus on, maybe requests too.
Please vote on the poll if you guys want this !! (15 days duration)

Im tempted to come up with a few simple concepts, as you don't need to have it as a battery. Also is the colour issue could be related to output profile, like CMYK or RGB, but if you didn't open or edit them, can't think what the problem would be, I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to android.

Yes, ofcourse. I love new concepts/ideas. Post them or pm.

That app is free on iOS. Bummer, but understandable as to why they made it a paid app.
Still waiting on Focal myself
Haven't gotten an answer on this in the other places I've asked. There are two different UIs shown in the pics for the app, one looks like iOS and the other looks like it may be a tablet UI. Can anyone confirm if the latter is a tablet UI. If it becomes the phone UI too it looks pretty nice.

Yeah, I emailed them about it and that asked that I send them some pictures which I did. Hopefully they fix it.
is the Camera Awesome app really the best out there? The features look good but the reviews are terrible and not very many downloads...
anyone have real experience with it before I commit $3?
The interface on this app looks so cluttered. I wish someone would just blatantly copy the iOS 7 camera app instead of trying to make an app that has literally every feature but 30 on screen buttons. Just simplicity with necessary functionality. It shouldn't really be that hard.

Just cuz the n5 is newer doesn't make it better. I just traded s4 for n5 and when I was running aosp 4.4 on my s4 the devices are very very similar. N5 slightly snappier and s4 has a better camera and more storage capacity. They are different devices but one isn't necessarily better than the other

I was half kidding when I said that (hence the wink emoji).
I had a S4 before and did a side by side comparison of the display (the part that matters the most to me).
I couldn't stand the over saturated colors on the Amoled screen.
I love the IPS display of my N4 and my N5. So "I like the N5 better than the S4". To each his own

Sure, I bet he did, but it's still a live wallpaper that needs to download images and use the CPU to blur them. It's probably not too much though.
Would only drain battery while the wallpaper is showing. Although using their featured images would have to connect once a day, I doubt the battery drain would be much.

The CPU doesn't actively need to be used to blur (it could just be a blurred overlay and the opacity cycles to transition).
Additionally, I use it, and since I have it using local images only, it doesn't take a hint of battery. Unless you manually change it, all the wallpapers it cycle through are blurred by default.
Nice find!!! Lovin'it!!
Only question is if any one knows which calender app the screenshot of the app shown in the GP is by any chance??
It looks so good!!

That would be this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.underwood.agenda
It's not an app, it's a widget.

You're welcome. It's quite a pretty widget and really shines on blurred wallpapers.
Woow, simply fantastic
Hypothetically...
If one were to develop a plugin for Muzei, where would one start? I'm art professional and I think this has a lot of potential as a platform for museums and galleries! But I am new to development so how should I approach this... Thanks and if it's posted in the wrong place kindly refer me to where I have to ask!
Is it just me or this LWP takes 150 MB of RAM :what:
