I didn't make the 3rd one and I forgot where I got it so credit goes to whoever made it.

They're playing kinda slow on the Nexus 5. Maybe someone can help fix it.
I changed the speed in the description file but that just made it slower.
Edit: Fixed.

I ended up trying them both out, quality is very good, I think the pulsating one is a lil too much so i went back to the normal plain spinning one :good:
If it could be sped up a lil bit it would be even better

Just cuz the n5 is newer doesn't make it better. I just traded s4 for n5 and when I was running aosp 4.4 on my s4 the devices are very very similar. N5 slightly snappier and s4 has a better camera and more storage capacity. They are different devices but one isn't necessarily better than the other

I was half kidding when I said that (hence the wink emoji).
I had a S4 before and did a side by side comparison of the display (the part that matters the most to me).
I couldn't stand the over saturated colors on the Amoled screen.
I love the IPS display of my N4 and my N5. So "I like the N5 better than the S4". To each his own

I'm just messing with ya. Although a 13MP would have been a better choice on the N5.
Anyways, I went back to my other boot animation. This was a bit to big, I like a more simple UI

@sonnysekhon Would you be willing to share the original source images? If it's ok, I'm building a boot animation based off of this which will say "Welcome to Nexus 5
By Google"
before loading your pulsing animation.
I'll post it here if I ever get it made!
edit: nvm, i just pulled the .png files out of the zip

if thing pans out, judging by the amazing stats that I already see, it will probably have a killer resolution.
Probably as good as the retina or better.
This is a phone I will deff not be getting...unless of course they go all the way and it has a breand new OS that is the best of both Android OS and iOS
I wash I could find a rom or app like that but i cant so I dream of the impossible.

Hii, all. First of all this is just a preview of offline charging animation.
Why am i doing this?
Well i think theres almost no custom charge animations (or i dont like them). So i decided to make some minimal and fresh charge animations. Im at school and made these three for now (Gonna make many more, because more we got, better it will be). I got some free hours between the lessions and im bored
Modern, minimal and creative is what i will mostly focus on, maybe requests too.
Please vote on the poll if you guys want this !! (15 days duration)

Im tempted to come up with a few simple concepts, as you don't need to have it as a battery. Also is the colour issue could be related to output profile, like CMYK or RGB, but if you didn't open or edit them, can't think what the problem would be, I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to android.

Yes, ofcourse. I love new concepts/ideas. Post them or pm.

This has been released for all other nexus devices, as well as the other popular phones. It's in testing for the N5 now! I am stoked!

It's not publically available for Nexus 5 yet though, so this thread feels premature. Cheers for the heads up, anyway.

That app is free on iOS. Bummer, but understandable as to why they made it a paid app.
Still waiting on Focal myself
Haven't gotten an answer on this in the other places I've asked. There are two different UIs shown in the pics for the app, one looks like iOS and the other looks like it may be a tablet UI. Can anyone confirm if the latter is a tablet UI. If it becomes the phone UI too it looks pretty nice.

Yeah, I emailed them about it and that asked that I send them some pictures which I did. Hopefully they fix it.
is the Camera Awesome app really the best out there? The features look good but the reviews are terrible and not very many downloads...
anyone have real experience with it before I commit $3?
The interface on this app looks so cluttered. I wish someone would just blatantly copy the iOS 7 camera app instead of trying to make an app that has literally every feature but 30 on screen buttons. Just simplicity with necessary functionality. It shouldn't really be that hard.

Hey, So my Nexus 5 did finaly arrive a few days ago.. (Pretty damn awesome device imo) very happy owner.. anyway, So I have had a bootanimation prepaired for the Nexus 5 for weeks but could not try It.. so finally I got the chance to try It and tbh, I think It looks amazing!
I Dont know but maybe some of you already know what I have done.. or atleast stumbled over one of my bootanimations I've done for mainly Nexus 7 but some have also been ported to other devices like Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus and some HTC devices I think
So what I have done here Is a "New" version of the very popular Particles bootanimation I made for the Nexus 7 first gen.. I Have made It In better quality but It wont be exactly the same as I had to redo everything from the beginning.
So here Is what I have done, I hope you guys enjoy It as much as I do

UPDATE 2014-01-22
*Made some small changes in the bootanimations loop.
*Added 5 after Nexus for those who want.
*Manage to make it smaller *hopefully without changing the quality*
Download:
Flashable .zip:ParticlesNew
Bootanimation.zip:Bootanimation.zip
Old animations without the 5!
Download Flashable .zip: ParticlesHQ
Download Bootanimation.zip NOTE:If your going to use this one, do not forget to change name to just bootanimation.zip: ParticlesHQManually
Sorry for the big filesize (33Mb).. I could not find another way without loosing the quality so if anyone have a idea or know how to make it smaller without loosing the quality of the pictures, pls let me know Thanks!
Let me know what you think!

It's fairly nice, although personally I still like the old one better. dunno why. something doesn't sit right with the new one. maybe the size of the particles or something? I dunno xD

Hello XDA community (hoping that I am posting in the right area. if not, please let me know),
I've been messing around with creating my own bootanimations in my spare time, purely for fun. I'm currently running the latest Carbon ROM nightlies on my Nexus 5, so I figured I'd make some based on Carbon's logo. The first one I'd like to share with anyone who's interested, is Thundercats-style [cel animated].
It starts off with a few frames using the Google logo so that it would seem like a seamless transition from the splash screen (I only guesstimated the placement and size of the logo + unlocked icon). It's pink/fuchsia on black just because I like to use that color combo in alot of my custom theming, so if that's not really your flavor, I could possibly take requests for a color variation.
This one is fairly simple, but I intend to work on a much more involved one with a custom typeface/logotype which would resemble the original 80s cartoon more.

Here's a version (my fave) that uses the logos/icons of some of the major name ROMs that Carbon incorporates (CM, Slim, AOKP, PA)

This is by far the best bootanimation I've seen... testing it now
Kinda feels like AOKP, it will be awesome if it was redish orange like the thunder cats logo

Thanks BIG-bone
You're right, it does sorta feel like AOKP.
I've made a red version as requested and also added a white one as well in the OP.
Did it work ok on your device?

Sure, what sort of blue were you thinking of? If you have a reference that'd make it easy

Thanks! I actually had an idea for SlimKat in mind when I started this thing, but it would be a bit different from what we've got here so far. I'll see what I can do with it for you in this style though.

Yes please, a SlimKat version would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
Excellent animation, i prefer the mashup, why don't post it in Team Carbon Community on Google Plus ?
just a quick one, since im new to android platform, this bootanimation would work on any ROM right? I'm on AOKP ROM.
thanks
EDIT: Nevermind. Figured it out.
LOVE IT !!! Could you make one for Purity ROM ?
Nice theme! Really loving it. Maybe you could work on Dirty Unicorn Bootanimation too with the same design like that? On different logo

hey everyone, sorry I haven't been keeping up with this thread. Seems like I should maybe just make one of these for each of the more popular ROMs out there + stock android
I'll definitely give it a go once I find some free time (most likely after tax day lol)
