YES german is in there!
For creating a full backup (not only system but also all partitions) I guess the only way is to use Qualcomm software QPST,
here's a manual:
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1558792-TUTORIAL-How-to-set-up-your-phone-for-QPST-using-Windows-XP
The only thing you really need anyway will be your original "modem.bin" to restore after installing the unbranded Lenovo Rom.
BTW I could not make a backup of mine, since the tablet was stuck in bootloop and QPST could not detect it. So now I'm without 3g because it can't detect the sim card.
If you would be so kind to send me your modem.bin I'll update my guide and give you credits for the help
:good:
---------- Post added at 01:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:41 PM ----------
In case you need, here are the commands for a modem backup
In terminal emulator, do the following:
Code:
su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/mnt/sdcard/backups/modem.bin bs=4096
It will create the "modem.bin" file on your external sdcard, in the path specified !

toraals was
ok your instructions to flash the new firmware is very easy
but i don´t understand to back up the old firmware and put the modem.bin from backup to the new firmware
have you got still more precise instructions?
translated by google translator

You need to backup your modem first, because if you don't you may break your 3g connection and have "SIM card not found".
But please don't flash anything before I have a "modem.bin", then I'll test it !
The procedure to restore the modem you backed up is a little more complex, and I'll prepare a script for that...when I'll be sure it's working 100%!
I must do it, only because I was stuck in a bootloop and lost 3g.
Take care
Edit:
the other option is to backup your full NV partition as explained in the QPST thread, then restore it after flashing the new rom...that's the safest way actually !!!

Has there been any development on a ROM with call functionality for this model? I have a Vodafone locked unit and would like to unlock it for use on other networks.

Stock Eclair Rom (I9000UGJH2)

Long story short, I lost my IMEI. After reading a lot and trying a lot of thing, I was able to restore the product code but still, my IMEI is a generic one.
I can still access network and make calls, but it bugs me so I have yet one last thing to try; revert to stock eclair rom.
Only thing, I can't find any of those...
Actually, I "found" I9000UGJH2 but when I push it with Odin, I get a boot loop (with the samsung logo)
So, doest anyone can provide me with a stock Eclair rom?
IE:
-I9000UGJH2
-I9000DTJG4
-I9000UGJG8
Thanks!
Get a GB stock ROM and flash it via Odin...
FYI: If I ask for a specific version I have already tried those easely available, from JL2 to KG3 to JL2 then upgrade via kies to KG3.
as stated on the original request, I want to test eclair as it was the original rom on it.
Then try FroYo. It's better than Eclair.
Bro, you have to learn to read...
JL2=froyo
KG3=GB
ALL ALREADY TRIED...
I specificaly asked for those rom FOR A REASON!
Hey.
Take a look at samfirmware, a quick search told me they have it there. You need to register (think it's still free, i haven't gone there in a while)
http://www.sammobile.com/
I've seen there:
Android 2.1 I9000HVJH1
Android 2.1 I9008ZMJG1
Android 2.1 I9000DXJG4
Android 2.1 I9000DDJF2
so pick your poison and good luck.
Also, since your chances of actually recovering imei that way are 50% at this point (it'll either work or not ), i'll also leave a document that tells you how to rebuild the /efs folder. Sorry, portuguese was the only language i found this (picked from another forum). I guess you can always use google translate if you need or shoot me a pm if you have any trouble understanding the language at some point, i'll be glad to help.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/...NQ__7Xmy7vS7KTxY/edit?authkey=CL3S_f8M&pli=1#
Again, good luck with that. I'm guessing if you ever recover your imei, an /efs backup will be the first thing you'll do
None of them actually works when you click on "download" on samfirmware.com
Thanks for the guide, I'll check this out!

Listen carefully;
The reason why you got a boot loop while flashing eclair, that could happen if you're flashing ONE FILE ROM (which is same as rooting, onnly PDA)..
I %100 recommend that;
Flash a rom that HAS 3 FILES ,and with that , also PIT file which makes it 4 files BASE flashing...
Roms that are containing 4 files..
XXJVU (2.3.6 GB)
XXJVQ(2.3.4 GB)
JVQ could looks like older but belive me flash JVQ then you can GET JW4 latest offical european Value Pack firmware FROM KIES!.
All you have to do ;
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_UDv0VHoyaRak95b0NSX3Q1Tlk/edit?pli=1 download this (this is my recovery rom )
in zip file,there are 4 files and they are;
s1_odin_20100512.pit (which goes to PIT in odin)
CODE.tar (which goes to PDA in odin)
MODEM.tar (which goes to PHONE in odin)
CSC.tar (which goes to CSC in odin)
MAKE SURE RE PARTITION is CHECKED.Then flash it .)
After that when you get your imei back,
type *#272*imeinumber# in dialer then change CSC to XEU (united kingdom).. Then connect to kies and voila!!!!!! You 'll get JW4
Again, thanks for the heads up but I NEED an eclair rom for a SPECIFIC reason, a specific test, I have already tested GB and Froyo and it doesn't work.
I don't need it for JW4 or any other already available rom out there, I can already flash them with Odin or flash with CWM.
So, if anyone has the 3 files for I9000UGJH2 and can provide it, please let me know! I can provide an FTP for you to drop it.
BTW, I've tested the portugeese walktrough to no result.
Hmm.Okey then but ,if gb/froyo flashing didn't get your imei back..I dont think eclair wont get that too
Is it must be UGJH2? Or any other eclair roms.. ?
Sorry for your imei bro btw...i hope you can get it back... Did you ever take a backup of your efs folder on any custom roms before this thing happened?
GT-I9000 cihazımdan Tapatalk 2 ile gönderildi
try to flash any eclair rom you find, preferably stock
I would think that, since the IMEI and Product number are "related" (in the /efs folder), it would need to, at least, have the product code (sell code, with *#272*IMEI#), that's why I'm looking for thoses specific roms.
And no, I didn't made a backup prior to this... :S

Wow, that was long ago!
I think you can change your product code this way:
To change the CSC (otherwise known as product code) dial *#06# to get your imei and write it down carefully.
Then dial *#272*your imei# (replace "your imei" with the 15 digit code you just wrote down) and you will get to the CSC selection screen.
Choose the one you want then hit "install".
Be aware that changing the CSC will effectively do a 'wipe data' on your phone.

But for the IMEI, you'll have to get it reprogrammed by a provider or something similar.

No product model
Thanks for the tips. But I can't find Ascend Mate 7 product model on the list. What is the model of yours?
I'm thinking to buy AM7, but I want to make sure that I can root and install custom rom later, before buying it.

Yes, you have to flash back to the factory recovery and then update. After this, re-root it again.

Actually what I meant is how to get the unlock code. Don't you need to unlock the device before rooting it? I checked on the Huawei website (http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail) and I can't find the AM7 product model.

Now we're waiting for a custom ROM
I've unlocked my phone successfully this way and rooted it. But then i had to flash stock recovery again cause if not, OTA upgrades doesn't work at all. Worse : factory reset makes ur Emui rom look totally different after reboot (basic look, no theming, ugly...)
So when i put stock recovery back and factory reset, it looked like before.
But i didn't need to root again.

No mobile data / network after flash

Hello everybody.
I tried to root and flash my A2017G model. I already tried the european and us-version of the images. But with all attemps, my phone does not connect to my mobile carrier. I can search and find my carrier-network, but an attemp to connect fails. I might flashed a wrong modem or something like that. Also I flashed back original boot and recovery and installed A2017_B06 update from ZTE Website, but no change.
Any ideas?
Actually back on A2017G_B03:
Baseband-Version: M8996FAAAANAZM-1.56471.1.60235.1
Kernel-Version: 3.18.20
Build-Nummer: ZTE A2017GV1.0.0B03
Thanks for help

Axon 7 flashed to A2017U B29 with TWRP... mobile radio broken
I'm having a similar issue.
So I followed the excellent guides on XDA (with huge thanks to @DrakenFX - who seems to have a hand in all the good tutorials) and flashed A2017U B29 onto my chinese A2017 B07 phone....
Everything was great. I had 4G but not LTE... so I got greedy and tried to be 'clever' and used TWRP to do the following
4- flash B27 bootstack zip
5- flash B29 bootstack zip
6- flash B29 system zip
Now I've lost the ability of the SIm to get the network. And when I look up the IMEI number - there are 2 on the phone!!
Can someone please please help me as I'm a total noob at all this and will need some hand holding from people who know better. I have TWRP on the phone. Much appreciated!

Hi @DrakenFX - thanks for the very helpful guides on unlocking bootloader and TWRP on Axon 7. I unfortunately lost all cellular network radio capability after I installed the BootStack for A2017U B29. Could you please advise me on how to get it working again?? WiFi works fine and I know the SIM card works as I have tried it on another phone
Worried its to do with EFS - really lost and stuck and any help would be appreciated!
I have tried wiping all data, cache, system and installing other ROMs including the new one you've posted with the on-screen nav buttons which installed fine and works - but again no cellular signal.
I have TWRP and unlocked bootloader and I am open to any advice

I think that's your problem. The bootstack zip contains a number of low level partitions. There are differences between the models. While it's generally safe to flash a system/kernel from another region, flashing these low level partitions is not advisable. See if you can get your hands on a full firmware package for your specific device. Actually, that should be step #1 before flashing anything so you have a way of going back in case something goes wrong .
I don't see anything in the guide about flashing b29 on a b07 phone. It also says multiple times to make backups...
Did you fix it ? I had same problem . bu now US and CH rom, on both mobile Internet is working. on US you must setup APN settings by ur self...
and Sim card manager is crashing, open APN settings from Data Usage.
Did you fix this issue? I am in the same boat as you. Please share your experience with resolving this issue.
You just can't recover Imei.
It happens to me too, and ZTE had no choice but to change motherboard with 2 new Imei.
I've tried to flash modem, rewrite imei with DualWriteImei, flash stock, flash modem from LoS ... and much more that i can't remember ATM. ZTE Repair center was my last chance.
Took me 3 weeks for repair in France for free.
PS : Before returning it, i've restored stock and relocked bootloader ... You should do the same

(Problem) SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 2. Binary: 1.

Hello guys!
I have a big problem with my S7 edge (G935F)... The problem begins when I forget to turn off the OEM security and then I did an update to my Magisk root... When I tried to reboot my phone it doesn't pass of the first logo image, meaning that I broke the "security", so I read about that and then I flashed a firmware, an official UK (BTU I guess) firmware and then I flashed TWRP via Odin to restore a nandroid that I did when I bought my phone... It restored the EFS partition/folder and when my phone reboots I had no network signal, no IMEI... I just tried everything (I hope not) and I can't give back my IMEI and my network signal... When I try to patch the certificate to recover my IMEI via Odin in the download mode it says: SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE:2. Binary:1
I don't know if I explained it because my english is too bad, but I tried, I know that someone else have the same problem than I because I saw it. Do you find the solution? I'm out of my country and I need it so much :crying:

Hey brother it happened with me too, unfortunately, I had to format my internal storage to fix this, you need to flash the latest nougat firmware via odin with csc including bl and modem and then start in recovery then format and start phone, remember you would need to put the google account which was previously there in the phone to unlock and complete setup process (very important here)

Download the latest firmware from https://updato.com (it's fast and reliable) then start in download mode, run odin with administrative privileges, select BL AP Modem and CSC (dont use home since we wish to clean fornat), and in odin uncheck auto reboot option, after the ODIN shows 'pass', disconnect the cord from pc, now you have to be very quick here since our battery is not removable, in order to shut down s7 edge from odin mode, all you have to do is press, volume down, volume up, home and power and as soon as it goes off connect the cord, the battery will show up and now it will be in charging state, after that disconnect the cord, (the phone is now clean fornatted and in off stage) and now boot into recovery to wipe data and cache using default recovery, then reboot phone and then log into your existing google account.
I know its tricky and maybe there's an ez way around it but this worked for me so I'm sharing

I tried it at first instance but I could not because my Bootloader was updated to the "U2" version, what I did after that was search the Combination file updated to the U2 bootloader, after a long search I found it.
In resume, The solution is what the OP of that thread says but if you have the same problem like me with the Updated bootloader you need this file instead of the files that are shown there:

Help I keep getting SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE:3. BINARY:2 when trying to downgrade BL CP for G935W8

P10 Lite Bricked

Hi guys,
After a flashing of boot.img take by Huawei Update Extractor my phone began to boot in a black screen, but with twrp and fastboot enabled.
So I tried to wipe data from twrp, but if I reboot the phone gives me the boot animation of huawei once, after it reboots automatically in twrp.
When I reboot via twrp it says that in my phone there's not an OS working.
Idk if this is a brick or something but if there's a mode to unbrick it i will very happy.
Status of my phone:
Bootloader: Unlocked
Twrp: Yes
Fastboot: Yes
Can Boot?: Only Once, then goes in twrp.
You need to reflash the stock boot image that goes with your current rom version, if it doesn't work you can try doing the dload method

Where I can find my stock rom? I'm not an expert of modding
Dm me a picture of the box (the area where the model, IME... are) and I'll find it for you..
Also tell me your region so i don't give you the wrong firmware

Ok, I'm Italian my phone is a WAS-LX1A but…
There's a new problem.
I was trying to install a custom rom (lineage 14.1) but it resulted in a hard brick, my phone isn't turning on anymore and no button combinations work.
Have I ripped the phone?

So, idk why, I put it in fastboot, and when I plug it to the pc my phone is called fastboot2.0
Now what I have to do?
I was at that stage of hard brick with my p10 lite but then i used dc phoenix to reflash the stock rom and completely unbrick it.. The only problem is it's 15€ (unlimited flashing for 3 days) and i haven't found any free alternatives..
If you buy via PayPal and you are unable to unbrick they will refund you tho.
I'll make a video about it when i get home if you want to wait... From my experience that is the only thing you can do at that stage ( if you are unable to boot into erecovery, screen black)

I need the stock rom of my huawei P10 Lite
It was Android 7.0 and EMUI 5.1, Model WAS-LX1A, Italy
No stock rom no unbrick
EDIT: But what if I install a custom rom (e.g. Lineage)?

If your screen is black and the phone gets detected in fastboot, then you need to flash the stock rom using dx phoenix.
Custom ROMs can't be installed via it and even if they couod be, you need the stock because custom ROMs don't contain the right files for an unbrick

They have their forums btw...
What you need to do is connect your phone to the pc while on bootloader, select the update.app file from the main firmware zip, and also get the customization .app from the "hw Europe" or sth like that zip file (if you have one) and then just let it flash.

Btw, if you did what i did a while back and played with oeminfo, you can grab someones c432 twrp backup of it, extract it and create a custom flash script.. I did this a while back so I can't give you exact instructions yet..
When I'll get home I'll do some research and make a video flashing my bricked p10 lite with dc Phoenix

You ask for it at the forums, just make sure you buy with PayPal, not sure for the credit cards

If you don't unbrick it, ask for the money back at the forums do NOT use PayPal's charge back tool

And you have 3 days to get the phone unbricked so i recommend trying multiple firmwares if one doesn't work
