Long story short, I lost my IMEI. After reading a lot and trying a lot of thing, I was able to restore the product code but still, my IMEI is a generic one.
I can still access network and make calls, but it bugs me so I have yet one last thing to try; revert to stock eclair rom.
Only thing, I can't find any of those...
Actually, I "found" I9000UGJH2 but when I push it with Odin, I get a boot loop (with the samsung logo)
So, doest anyone can provide me with a stock Eclair rom?
IE:
-I9000UGJH2
-I9000DTJG4
-I9000UGJG8
Thanks!
Get a GB stock ROM and flash it via Odin...
FYI: If I ask for a specific version I have already tried those easely available, from JL2 to KG3 to JL2 then upgrade via kies to KG3.
as stated on the original request, I want to test eclair as it was the original rom on it.
Then try FroYo. It's better than Eclair.
Bro, you have to learn to read...
JL2=froyo
KG3=GB
ALL ALREADY TRIED...
I specificaly asked for those rom FOR A REASON!
Hey.
Take a look at samfirmware, a quick search told me they have it there. You need to register (think it's still free, i haven't gone there in a while)
http://www.sammobile.com/
I've seen there:
Android 2.1 I9000HVJH1
Android 2.1 I9008ZMJG1
Android 2.1 I9000DXJG4
Android 2.1 I9000DDJF2
so pick your poison and good luck.
Also, since your chances of actually recovering imei that way are 50% at this point (it'll either work or not ), i'll also leave a document that tells you how to rebuild the /efs folder. Sorry, portuguese was the only language i found this (picked from another forum). I guess you can always use google translate if you need or shoot me a pm if you have any trouble understanding the language at some point, i'll be glad to help.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/...NQ__7Xmy7vS7KTxY/edit?authkey=CL3S_f8M&pli=1#
Again, good luck with that. I'm guessing if you ever recover your imei, an /efs backup will be the first thing you'll do
None of them actually works when you click on "download" on samfirmware.com
Thanks for the guide, I'll check this out!

Listen carefully;
The reason why you got a boot loop while flashing eclair, that could happen if you're flashing ONE FILE ROM (which is same as rooting, onnly PDA)..
I %100 recommend that;
Flash a rom that HAS 3 FILES ,and with that , also PIT file which makes it 4 files BASE flashing...
Roms that are containing 4 files..
XXJVU (2.3.6 GB)
XXJVQ(2.3.4 GB)
JVQ could looks like older but belive me flash JVQ then you can GET JW4 latest offical european Value Pack firmware FROM KIES!.
All you have to do ;
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_UDv0VHoyaRak95b0NSX3Q1Tlk/edit?pli=1 download this (this is my recovery rom )
in zip file,there are 4 files and they are;
s1_odin_20100512.pit (which goes to PIT in odin)
CODE.tar (which goes to PDA in odin)
MODEM.tar (which goes to PHONE in odin)
CSC.tar (which goes to CSC in odin)
MAKE SURE RE PARTITION is CHECKED.Then flash it .)
After that when you get your imei back,
type *#272*imeinumber# in dialer then change CSC to XEU (united kingdom).. Then connect to kies and voila!!!!!! You 'll get JW4
Again, thanks for the heads up but I NEED an eclair rom for a SPECIFIC reason, a specific test, I have already tested GB and Froyo and it doesn't work.
I don't need it for JW4 or any other already available rom out there, I can already flash them with Odin or flash with CWM.
So, if anyone has the 3 files for I9000UGJH2 and can provide it, please let me know! I can provide an FTP for you to drop it.
BTW, I've tested the portugeese walktrough to no result.
Hmm.Okey then but ,if gb/froyo flashing didn't get your imei back..I dont think eclair wont get that too
Is it must be UGJH2? Or any other eclair roms.. ?
Sorry for your imei bro btw...i hope you can get it back... Did you ever take a backup of your efs folder on any custom roms before this thing happened?
GT-I9000 cihazımdan Tapatalk 2 ile gönderildi
try to flash any eclair rom you find, preferably stock
I would think that, since the IMEI and Product number are "related" (in the /efs folder), it would need to, at least, have the product code (sell code, with *#272*IMEI#), that's why I'm looking for thoses specific roms.
And no, I didn't made a backup prior to this... :S

Wow, that was long ago!
I think you can change your product code this way:
To change the CSC (otherwise known as product code) dial *#06# to get your imei and write it down carefully.
Then dial *#272*your imei# (replace "your imei" with the 15 digit code you just wrote down) and you will get to the CSC selection screen.
Choose the one you want then hit "install".
Be aware that changing the CSC will effectively do a 'wipe data' on your phone.

But for the IMEI, you'll have to get it reprogrammed by a provider or something similar.

When mucking about with firmwares and such, it's always nice to know that you can revert back to the original line of firmwares should there be a problem. It's now possible (100% restoration is only possible for regions that has had an official update already).
Special thanks to Zangieff, whose finding made this hack possible.
You can actually use this hack to get any official firmware update available on Kies installed on your phone regardless of your phones region (assuming you have the correct data available).
Check the replies for an appropriate region with code. If you can't find one, it's likely not discovered yet (or has not had any kind of upgrade by Kies).
1) Start Kies. Start the upgrade software and make sure the upgrade software detects your phone properly.
2) If your preferred region requires you to have test mode ON, press CTRL-ALT-U-P. You should get a popup window stating that Test mode is ON. (Test mode is disabled in the most recent Kies versions, as far as I know it's also unused, so there's no real benefit in downgrading to get it)
3) Now close down the update program (Do not close Kies).
4) Run regedit, and browse to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Samsung/Kies/DeviceDB/. Under it you have a bunch of numbered keys, find the one that contains the relevant keys (HIDSWVER and ProductCode). If you find more than one HIDSWVER and ProductCode modify the number that also have a key with the IMEI of the phone you wish to upgrade.
5. Replace HIDSWVER and ProductCode with the apropriate values.
6. Launch the upgrade software, and update your firmware.
Enjoy your new firmware.
About the hack:
There seems to be confusion about what this hack REALLY does, so I'll take this space to explain it a bit further.
Every region has a RegionCode (some operators have their own RegionCode too), to ensure people get appropriately localized firmwareupdates. This hack allows the user to trick Kies into thinking the phone is a phone from another region (or with another firmware version). It means you can get a firmwareupdate from a different region on your phone. It does NOT mean you can magically enter a code to have a localized firmware supplied where none has been released. However, should you have a branded phone there is a CHANCE (not all regions have officially released updates) that an update has been released for unbranded phones in your region. If that's the case, all you should need to do is figure out appropriate settings for the registry keys, and Kies will allow you to "upgrade" to an unbranded localized firmware. There is no way for Kies to automatically make hebrew (or any other language not available in chinese firwmares) available in a chinese firmware. Which means that you will NOT retain your localized settings should you upgrade to that chinese firmware.
Here's a list of currently known codes. Please post any codes not listed here that you find, I'll add to this list as they are discovered.

i have just checked my registry and there are 2 number with, HIDSWVER & ProductCode, these are numbers 2 & 8, so which do i edit.
Great job. Well done
this imo needs to be stickied but with a better title and slighty better description.
there was a post somewhere on here with .reg files that can just be run.
does this allow you to upgrade to any firmware from any firmware? my current flashed firmware says it cannot be upgraded. not that its upto date, but that it actually cannot be upgraded.
EDIT:
1. To the guy above asking about the 2 sets of keys with HIDSWVER in, im guessing that you've connected to Kies. Thats the case with mine, where i can clearly see my device, on JM1 and my girlfriends i connected today and was going to update, which is JF3 still. Hope this helps.
2. So if i replace my value 'I9000XWJM1/I9000OXXJG7/I9000XXJG6/I9000XWJM1' with my girlriends 'I9000XXJF3/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3' then ill be shown i can update to the official JM1? Does this have any complications either during installation, or because my device is already on JM1. Kies does a full flash anyway doesnt it ?
current question: (solved thanks to OP) Does this (upgrading to JM1) have any complications during installation because my device is already on JM1?

Just make sure ProductCode also matches and it should be possible. In test mode it seems to be possible to reflash even if the firmware version is already available on the phone.

None that I know of.
And also: If you have multiple keys with HIDSWVER and ProductCode, I'm guessing you have connected more than one SGS on your computer. If that's the case, modify the keys where you find the IMEI of the phone you want to upgrade. (I'll add this to the original post too)

if you check the keys mate, if they have the same device name but different build numbers, then thats just when youve connected your device on different firmwares. If i was you id delete one of the 'folders' say 8, then connect your device and see if it creates another one, then use that, if not use the other one you had. (dont forget to refresh in regedit!)
sorry if that wasnt clear
btw to backup a free tial MyBackup in market, or Titanium if you have root.
¬ to the OP, the title is great now! the .reg files i was talking about were for each individual firmware! mad i know, but some members probably wont get this, and installing a key is probably easier for them. thanks for clearing things up!
Just delete the entire Samsung entry
it will be recreated upon starting kies
and your device will be in number 1

Official updats from kies don't update your bootloader (no boot/sbl bin files)
try to remove your battery, replace it and then try again
if it still doesn't boot, try entering download mode

Should I update with test mode on or off ?
Greetings community,
So as the title says i wanna upgrade (like everyone else)
Not cause i wanna get the latest but some features i really want and samsungs promised update is taking to long.
been using Eclair for about 2 months now.
Anyways so as any good researched you first read and collect all possible info.
Wich i did. So i've read to this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778880
Wich i compared to all others and alot of positive reactions on this.
Now i've already rooted the phone and just with that i had issues had to try a few rooting methods before i got it to work.
So as anyone figures i wanna be prepared to brick my phone
Anyways i have a Galaxy 3 i5801 from mobistar (fail for belgium)
With following FW
PDA: I5800XXJJ3
Phone:I5800XXJH1
CSC: I5800MSTJJ
So i was already looking for a rom with this FW but no luck( this incase i screw up )
Then searched on how to create your own rom to create it of what my phone is now again failsafe if i screw it up or the other FW don't work.
So yeah i already made a backup of the known /efs folder.
So i'm fully reset prepared for it but i wanna be able to place my original rom back. How to do it? create it? find it ?
Much appreciated for any tips.
PS: Yes i know failing to update is your own fault but i really need the possible features that i get from Froyo so yeah. I don't care if it fails then i just confirmed that i'm not meant to own this phone
Cheers,
Sleeper
fist off, are you sure your phone is i5801? your firmware says i5800.
Ok, now then. There is a way to minimize, or, possibly, to completely remove, any permanent risk. Dont flash boot files. If the firmware comes as one package remove the boot files and you have almost no permanent risk. What can happen is that you soft brick your phone. However, if you soft brick your phone you can enter download mode and try reflashing the same firmware or go back to firmware you know has worked, or try some other firmware.
other than that, I dont really have anything much to add
First of all thanks for the quick response.
Yeah i was in doubt if it was I5800 or the I5801 both are same yet not according the the rooting issues i had.
So i popped the battery out and it said i5801. Also if i'm not mistaken the i5801 is the refreshed look/stylish look of the i5800. (don't shoot me if i'm wrong )
Also the fact that i'm student on this subject i was already looking around to the part about removing the boot files.
I just downloaded I5800XXJPF FW looked inside and hoped to find a simple .boot folder but guess not.
Or does it just mean when using Odin don't input the new bootloader?
And is it enough to backup /efs folder or do i need to backup more stuff (i know that i'l loose apps so no issues there)
And one final question. If i do manage to soft brick my phone and can place my phone back into DL mode can i restore it's original ROM or am i forced, like you said, to search a compatible FW.
interesting about the batteries, what does it say in settings->about phone/Model number?
Yeah, for jpf just dont input the bootloader. just choose csc phone and pda.
You will only be able to restore your original if you download it, sorry, but you most likely wont soft brick it.
Also, do a reset before and after flashing (in recovery mode= vol up down home +power)
once again my thanks donkey (lol)
As model it states GT-I5800. I'm just assuming that I5801 are the branded phones.
Cause both Orange brand & Mobistar brand carry the I5801 model nr while my friends non-branded one carries the I5800 model and the normal look.
Anyways i also read it is safe to backup following files.
bml5 = zImage
bml6 = factoryfs
bml7 = datafs

Wich appear to be the files located in the PDA md5 when looking inside the JPF FW.
Correct? Possible to reflash to original FW using these files?
PS: yeah i am a worst case doomsday scenario type of user even though you say chance to brick is low that 0.1% always seems to be me.

Yup,you could flash PDA again with those.
Anyways, I dont see any reason why your phone and jpf would be incompatible. Something might possibly go wrong (it wont ) in the first flash, but that doesn't mean you cant try (and succeed) in flashing jpf again, or trying out another froyo rom.
Well tomorrow i'll try it out.
And see what happens.
Just to summarize in case anyone new to this also sees this and is doubting.
When using Oding leave the bootload blank to save your own bootloader. (this is to be able to put your phone in DL mode)
Backup /efs folder and original PDA files located in one of my posts
reset phone before and after flashing. Read donkeys remarks
Ask when your not sure
Anyways thanks for all the tips Donkey. Your not as stubborn as the name claims

ask if you're not sure after reading
also, im selectively stubborn

FYI: The Mobistar models are i5801 (hardware wise) but they come flashed with a i5800 firmware
Guess Mobistar didn't want their parent company's branding (Orange) all over their phone
PS: I've flashed mine -also a Mobistar one- a gazillion times with any of the i5800 firmwares posted around these boards. Never any issues.
Yup flashed mine without any issues
i want to flash my phone back to the out-of-the-box stock firmware for Virgin Mobile Canada (2.1), so i can update officially through Kies
i have flashed a few ROMs over the past year, such as JVO and JVQ,
i just want to start fresh and have looked but with limited success for the proper firmware,
can someone please give me a link where i can download the PDA/PHONE/CSC(VMC) ?
This is what I use to flash back to 2.2 factory. As for 2.1, I'm not sure
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991792&highlight=ez-odin
i9000m virgin, should I assume the same as bell?
Bell 2.2 is i9000ugkc1 download and flash samfirmware.com has all the firmwares you just need to have a free account.. make sure after you flash you re-adjust your product code with the dialer in the *#272*"imei"# then select your product code, bell's is bmc
then click re-install this will do a factory wipe also...
if you download the latest version of kies from samsung canada you can then use that to upgrade to gingerbread ugk3
this is all under the assumption virgin is using the same firmware as bell.....
The above instructions are correct, but instead of using the BMC Sales/Product Code, select VMC.
My only issue is i have tried samfirmware before and I don't know what to do with the .rar file as opposed to the .exe files I usually use to flash, how do I deal with a .rar and I tried a protean called bitzipper before but u didn't have a password to expand the file :s, sorry in advanced for being a n00b at this,
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
.rar? download winrar and use it to extract, you should get either (depending on the download) 1 .tar file... you flash that with ODIN or 3 .tar files you flash with ODIN.
Do some research on flashing with ODIN, there is substantial information on XDA and youtube if you need a visual reference.
and if i get one .tar file then i place it in the PDA portion of odin?
Why go back to 2.1?
If your phone is hosed so bad that you need bootloaders and everything (like mine was playing with KG3/JVR combos), then flash one-file 2.2 JL2.
If the phone works OK but you just want to put a stable stock firmware on it, flash 2.2 KC1.
From either of these Kies will update to 2.3.3 KG3.
The password is on the page where the ROM is linked. It's usually "samfirmware.com".

no no. where it says imei its your actual imei number
Sent from my GT-I9000M using XDA Premium App
If you dont know your IMEI, you can also pull out your battery and look at the numbers on your phone... there should be 3 sets of numbers (SN, USN, and IMEI i believe...). Write down your IMEI number and then use that code...
for example (this isnt my imei number and i apologise if it is anyone elses here )

To change the sales code (CSC) I recommend searching the Market using keyword "CSC" (without the quotes) to locate the "Samsung Galaxy S / S2 CSC" app. Just run it and select the Virgin sales code. Once of the above posts says "VMC" I think...
NOTE: Changing the sales code will clear caches; so, be sure to backup first.
As many of you have found out , sometimes after flashing roms or part of roms into the device turns the Device firmware to “Custom”.
What does this mean:
It means you no longer will be able to receive updated from samsung via kies or OTA, you want be able to deal with drm content etc.
When the device reboots its checks for custom binaries, unsigned partitions, custom partitions, mismatching partitions versions etc.
Why does this happens?
There is 4 possible reasons i'm aware of ...
1- You flashed a custom part of the rom, such as: Custom kernel, bad param.tar, custom boot.img, Custom recovery.
2- You flashed a custom rom that was improperly built.
3- Mismatched device country code after flashing a rom that was not builded for you region or carrier.
4 - Deleting or modifying system apps.
Today we will be dealing with 2 and 3..
( if your device has A custom Binary count of more that 0, this will not work for you)
Fix for option 2:
1- Reflash your device with the latest rom from your region/carrier.
But,but, i flashed the original rom and it still says custom?!
If your region/carrier only has lets say a 4.1.1 version of the rom and you already flashed a 4.1.2 .from another region this may wont work.
Why?
Because flashing an older rom does not downgrade all the firmware as expected in some cases, it seems that the device is able to detect newer and i some cases modified parts in the currently loaded firmware and skip the update.
What can i do then?
Wait for an update for you region.
Fix for option 3
Roms are supplied with settings for different regions/carriers often called CSC codes or Sales-code.
When you flash a full rom it also flashes a partition that contains those codes ,once the rom boots for the first time it checks your current Sales-code already set in the device and if the sales-code matches, it copies the appropriate files to the device, if it does not match, it sets the device sales code to “unknown” and therefore setting the device firmware to “Custom”
Another reason that problem 3 is caused by:
My device for instance is from the UK, retail model, the sales code is BTU, the roms for it contains pretty much all the sales codes for all Europe, so its safe to flash in any other European device that have different sales-code.
The problem arises when people starts flashing roms that were made for a specific set of carriers, like for instances the new DBT roms, this roms only contains support for 6 sales codes,so if you are out of germany and flashed this rom chances are that your sales-code ain't there, therefore not matching your current sales code and
setting the firmware to “custom”.
How do i fix this then?
First you need to find your sales code
find it here if you don't know it; http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I8190
then you need a rooted rom from your carrier or a rom that contains most of the sales-codes
Install Samsung Galaxy S /S2 /S3 CSC , app from the market/
Launch the app and tick the “Try with root mode” box
Grant superuser Permission,
WARNING! THE NEXT STEP WILL RESET YOUR DEVICE TO FACTORY DEFAULT AND DELETE THE CONTENTS OF THE INTERNAL SD CARD.
In the list of codes that came up, select yours and press install.
Device will reboot and wipe your data.
And thats it your device Sale-code is fixed.
Notes
New additions and corrections to the above are welcome.
This is not a thread about resetting your binary count.
I will not answer question about building roms.
I will not answer pms about any of the above,Unless you have some meaningful contribution.
Tutorials take time to write and research so don't be an ass and if this helped you in any way at least press the thanks button.
Thank you and good luck.

Yes your recovery still custom, so it wont change the status, official roms do not overwrite custom recoverys, param.lfs, it seems.
None of the recoverys in the forum are signed, they may be official but they are not signed, the primary fuction of this recoverys is to revive your device or fix broken recoverys but all will be flaged as custom because they are not signed by samsung.
My phone does not have root. How can I do?

not able to Change CSC to DBT ... can you tell me how ... DBT never available
Hi! I'm new in the customization field of my S3 mini, haha hearing the news that the kitkat update will not be released for the international version. I'm wondering, what are the important things that I should know about the phone? I have been seeing threads and the "firmwares, kernels,CSC's" are all new to me, haha can you explain those? or are there any threads available for their descriptions? :fingers-crossed:
Just got my phone back from the repair shop and I seem to have messed up its ability to be a phone! Managed to restore a nandroid (seems it was still rooted) but the wifi / calls weren't working ...
The CSC code revealed with so I tried CSC changer from the shop and inadvertently made things worse ... I've ended up with a German CSC and can't get it back to BTU! (CSC changer goes through the motions but can't change it back )
So I thought I'd try to get back to the main problem, this longer 'CSC' number that gets displayed with *#1234# - it shows both my AP and CP as:
I9505XXUBMEA
But the 'CSC' here is:
I9505OXABMEA
I'm hoping if I can change that I'll be closer to get this phone working? Can anyone help? (NB it's on Android 4.2.2. right now)
Thanks!
Damn, well, still pulling out my hair here. So far I've tried installing the same pre-rooted ROM that got me set up last time I rooted:
I9505XXUBMEA-PRE-ROOTED-ODEX-FULL.tar.md5
No wifi...
Then as I seemed to remember similar problems last time, the following files:
I9505XXUBMEA-MODEM.tar.md5 (via 'PHONE')
I9505XXUBMEA-WiFi-FIX.tar.md5 (via 'PHONE')
All go fine over ODIN, but I still have no WI-FI and the dialler goes blank if I try and make or receive calls! ><
Any help would be much appreciated..
Have you tried flashing the original stock firmware?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Not sure which one to use! Does it matter? Want to stay on 4.2.2 and keep life simple (seems 4.3+ complicates things) .. but I can't seem to find a 4.2.2 UK ROM (That's BTU, right?)
Can anyone point me in the direction of a stock ROM that I can flash to reset things?
Glad you got help in the other thread.

For sure all was ok before you restored ur backup. Dont restore more backups atm:
1. Make a backup of ur Internal Memory
2. Make a factory reset (Settings > Accounts > Back Up and Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Device > Delete All/Erase Everything.)
3. Conect it to Kies 3
4. Kies 3 will give u the info you need for know ur correct CSC. This will be btw parenthesis close CSC.
5. Knowing ur CSC, take a look for this firmware in Sammobile.com
6. Download and flash it with ODIN (Dont flash a "Black EDITION" if ur phone isnt it)
7. Dial *#1234# again and take a look if u have the same what Sammobile was telling you. If not, flash again the firmware. (Example in pic attached)
8. Attach more problems here if u still having them :highfive:
Thanks so much Joku. I've got to step 4 but it doesn't give me a lot of info. Offers firmware upgrade then says :
Current firmware: PDA:MEA / PHONE:MEA / CSC: MEA (DBT)
No idea what this means or how to find relevant firmware in step 5 so any advice would be much appreciated!
Cheers

- It will give ya 2 files. You can delete the .dll
- Put ur phone in DOWNLOAD MODE and conect it to ur pc
- Open ODIN and flash the firmware (like the example in pic attached)
- Wait the process till end and enjoy ur phone again like new
Many thanks for the link Joku! Downloading now, I'll let you know how it goes..
Damn, not having any luck with this file - I've tried downloading it twice now on different PC's but it fails to write - drops out after aboot.mbn then 'complete(write) operation failed'...

So update... found I couldn't flash ANYTHING after the failed stock ROM flash, so I got a .PIT file and flashed that, now the phone boots again at least! Now downloading the Spanish stock ROM suggested by Malyrbu - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52635376&postcount=12236
One question - do these stock ROM files contain a kernel too? Might getting the right stock kernel help fix things?
Thanks!

1. You dont need flash any Spanish stock ROM. Flash only the one I was telling you. I downloaded the DBT firmware and works perfect for me. OTHER LINK -> HERE
2. The firmware i told ya (DBT) contain STOCK Kernel too.
Weird, tried it a few times on different PC's now. Will try redownloading from your new link, thanks!

*sigh* well I still couldn't get that stock ROM to flash... re-downloaded from your new link and ran it again, fails in the same spot! Not sure what's going on... might try that Spanish 4.2.2.? If it would fix my wifi problem I could then go ahead and add a custom ROM, right? :crying:
Well, Spanish ROM borks too! >< ... looks the same as the other one you sent. If it's any help, I can see in tiny red text on the S4 screen -
SW REV. CHECK FAIL : fused : 3, Binary : 1
Ah f*ck, I think I may have borked phone stock flashing by trying to install a higher firmware ROM when I first got the phone back... not sure but when I google the SW REV CHECK FAIL that seems to be the problem people have.
Dunno what's going on... when I get the phone to boot after flashing PIT again it says Android Version 4.2.2 in the 'About Device'... but I still can't get WIFI to work ><
If it was in warranty I'd take it back about now, sadly it's an ebay'd phone!
OK I think I may have sussed out why it's not working. Really sorry for the confusion but I think I screwed things up right at the start, and then didn't remember ... one of those dumb things you do playing with your phone late at night. The first ROM I tried to flash, right after getting it back from repair, was a 4.4.2! .... I had no idea what a big deal that was ><
SO ... thankyou for bearing with me this long! Feel like such an idiot right now. I guess then that some fundamental thing has gotten changed by the ROM I tried then (it was this one ). DOH!
As I understand it, there's no going back now and I'll have to stick with 4.4.2 - please correct me if I'm wrong!
