Use CM7, CM9 or MS2Ginger. Use aroma full wiper or TJKVs safe wiper to wipe everything and then flash the ROM.

At the moment i am using Ommi-Rom which is android 4.4.2
It is stable and I am yet to find any issues with it.
If you want to try it flash update-recovery.zip if you are in Slim,PA or CM10 or defy_twrp_recovery_2.6.3.0.zip if you are in a GB based ROM. (you have to reboot ater flashing defy_twrp_recovery_2.6.3.0.zip to enter the updated recovery.)
Then flash defy_safewipe.zip (not necessary if you flashed defy_twrp_recovery_2.6.3.0.zip)
and then flash Omni-Rom and GApps
You can provide feedback for Ommi here.

You have to download the sbf and drivers, select sbf in rsdlite and flash. And what do you mean by nothing happened? Nothing will happen without the sbf

Yellow? Confirm if you are in boot loader mode(google it) it's a black screen with white text

Select defy plus and dfp 231 as per carrier/region
If stuck on Motorola logo for a long time after flashing enter stock recovery and wipe data

[Q] freeze - CM10 Sister Jelly Bean V3.1.6 | Defy / Defy+ | 20/03/2013 (LM.)

Guys i have problems with JB SISTER.
I dont know why, but i can not post in defy developer.... then i'll post here.
Thread JB SISTER: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192807
My problems with this version: frequent LAG, freeze when i open any app. The only way for restart android is remove the battery. Ah yes! the boot takes too long to start. Too long!!
Well, i had before this version Quarx version (4.1.1), and i only wiped data and flashed above it.
Then i think: I'll back to stock rom.
Following instructions, i back to retail stock android, because i did not want more problems. After this, i flashed the JB SISTER.
This time, freeze are less frequent but, when i open two or more apps, the system freeze fully, then i remove battery and it all starts again. The problem of boot takes too long continues.
I wonder if anything succeed solve this problem.
Anyway, i think of changing this version totally unstable.
Thanks so much.
nope bro i oo did tat wipe and made it proper which made me not to install fursquare and lots many apps ... which says ur not allowed to install itseems ...yukkk ..remaining everything is awe and faster not a single lag for me MB526 motorola defy + JB sister

[Q] Nothing on the screen, but RSD works

Please HELP!
I flashed a new custom rom but something went wrong and when i rebooted a didnt see anything on the screen :S I have nothing on the screen since that, but I can flash any stock rom with RSD lite. After flashing the phone can't boot :S
The backlight works, but nothing appears on the screen. I have flashed about 5 different roms. Nothing changed. :S But for one there was an infinite motorola logo(for 3 hours) so i believe the LCD works. :S (i have 2 batteries and an outer charger so its not a problem)
What should I do?
Thanks for help!

Black screen occurs when you downgrade, you need to find the ROM with correct bootloader version, by hit and trial.

my nexus 4 is bricked :(

Hey guys,
I've recently updated to android 4.3
I've installed franco kernel on top of the os and it seems to screw up my phone
the phone restarted and its stuck on the google logo
I've tried to use nexus root toolkit of WUG to install stock + unroot in the soft brick mode
and its still stucked on the google logo
tried factory reset from bootloader and now it tells me I dont have OS hehe
mmm dont know really what to do from here and not sure
I did the above mentioned steps as I should.
I dont have problem to delete everything and to do a factory reset if possible
Also I'd like to have 4.2.2 .. loved it more as I could work with franco kernel
would much appriciate any guidence on to follow up from here
as I am preety lost.
thanks alot mates!
That is soft bricked and there is like a million ways to fix it.
If you want you can sideload a custom rom of your choice or you can just use the Nexus Stock Images which allows you to install 4.2.2 or 4.3.

Choose your android version here, choose the Mako/Occam type.

From the looks of it there is no Fastboot binary in it so you need to copy them over to that folder making sure your in the bootloader and you have drivers.

Which ROM did you install? Details are crucial in the answering process.
If you unlocked in KK, then you can only run test builds of CM11 by Dhacker29 or his Nightly Gummy Builds.

You forget about OSE and KitStalk by GraberRoms - this ROMs are on 3.4 kernel too
You may need to reflash the stock factory image (you can just flash system.img in RSD Lite), after this - make a backup copy, you will thank yourself for having a backup copy on the internal SSD. To force RSD Lite link-up on a bricked phone, just do the usual volume-up and volume-down hold-down and hold the power button, and after it boots up, select "AP Fastboot" then plug into PC with RSD Lite running.
(EDITED) Actually both system.img and boot.img files to unbrick it. Forgot about the Linux kernel... Hurr Durr!
