How to make OK Google voice command work in cm11 - Galaxy S III Mini General

Thread cleaned as its of no use

nice it did work but stuck in boot loop
eswarvf said:
Well its all because of google now (velvet.apk) present in sysrem/priv-app
Why its removed ?
A) Bcoz if its not preinstalled we cant have Google experience launcher working and we cant do anything without a launcher
To make it work follow these simple instructions
1)Install any alternative launcher for temporary [anything apex, nova, smart whatever]
2)Just use root explorer or similar and remove velvet.apk from system/priv-app
3)Install google now from play store using your installed launcher
If u don't want to buy root explorer use inbuilt file manager by pressing menu and select settings/general/access mode /root access
Reboot and done ur ok google will be working now

did you forget to mention NOT to remove the "Temporary anything.....whatever" launcher, after installation
cause now am stuck in boot loop

Google home is a shell without Google now
the main thing is google now
anyway chill out why it is in bootloop and can u confirm that no launcher is the problem
try adding another whatever launcher to system/app and if it boots with that launcher its my mistake
if its not its your problem
i dont think 1 app will effect whole rom
thanks anyway ill add it

Hi, well first thank you for your concern and reply, didn't mean to appear as grumpy. But hey its the wife's mini if you know what I mean.
OK fail to boot through custom recovery dalvik wipe. (I kept clean wipe as a last resort)
Flash updated maclaw 28th build through custom recovery didn't help either
So I tired through Odin without flashing GAPPS. All fine except playstore , it just wouldn't connect through WIFI nor 3g
Back to recovery and flashed GAPPS
Thanks to you it is working fine now with Google now (ok Google hot word detection) working fine.
I have a question though. Do I need to do all that with every build update or it should stick now without all this headache

except for full wipe (not factory reset more like fresh installation)
Pm me if u have any probs i will try to help have a nice day

Hi, this didn't work for me. I followed the instructions and after reboot I switched back to the cm11 launcher, only he Google search bar widget looks different. I kept saying "okay google" and nothing happened, there's not hotword detection setting in Google settings either. I'm using maclaws cm11 20140126 if that helps.

I got it to work. I updated to maclaws 20140130, and did this again and it worked

After few days that "say ok google" will vanish away but it works
its like for new users

question
i did what you said by moving/deleting (i did both, one in 1 situation and the another in other one) velvet.apk
then when i went to the play store, google search was STILL INSTALLED so i couldnt "reinstall it" (you said it has to be installed)
you didnt say to reboot device so i didnt do it the 1st time and like i said before, i couldnt "install" google search because it was installed.
the 2nd time i tried this method, i rebooted my s3 mini with cm11 and again, it was installed.
in both cases i decided to unninstall google search and reboot, then install it again and reboot.
Finally, "Ok google" commands worked but like it worked before i did all this methods.
(Before i deleted velvet.apk.etc) "ok google" voice commands worked and now it works too.
my questions are:
1) did the female's voice of google now only works on new experience launcher?
2) can i make it work on another launcher? (im using holo launcher plus)
3) what this methods are for? (if they are for activating just the "Ok google", it was working before too.
4) maybe im not understanding something from the guide, what could it be? (thats the reason i explained before the 2 methods i understood from the guide)
THANKS!!

Hmm... i think it works because of auto installing google search from your play store if its no then may be other, the thing is we need to pull out velvet from system app
1)voice depends on the speech output that an app use
2)i tried many launchers but no it didnt work (let me know if it works on any launcher)that google search widget is not designed to have ok google command may be it will be updated in another googles release
3)yes its for ok google and it will not work without that app velvet out of priv-app
4)its simple you got all but one thing you are the one who got it working without doing these
and finally i found it working because i installed experience launcher on cm 10.2 and velvet as normal apk before release of cm11
ok google works when i uninstalled the us language and reinstalled[i found it annoying and so i searched and replaced some libraries it works]
but surprisingly it doesn't work on cm11 when released by maclaw so i researched everywhere and found that i cant uninstall preinstalled language and again i cant make it work with lib as they are same of cm11 so i reverted to cm10.2 and pushed velvet and google home to system
and i surprisingly found that ok google wont work so i get back to cm 11 and known that maclaw puts some important apps in priv-app older and deleted velvet and did this process ok google works

I found how to get this to work. You have to change the voice language in Google now settings. You have to set it to English (US) or whatever you want. The default language is English Generic. I hope that no one has stated it again...

Ya i know as my launcher updated from playstore but the problem is not with launcher , its with velvet.apk as system app, thats all

After Google updated the launcher to be standalone app now velvet is no present to delete. Instead I removed the launcher from system apps and reinstalled it from play store. However not working.
Heads up also changing default languages will not let Google now "OK Google" feature to work

Same here, best thing is to roll back to the previous version and disable automatic updates for that app. I haven't tried it yet but I think it should work until someone figures the new version out

Finally I figured it was because my home address wasn't a known address in google maps

[GUIDE]How to setup 240 dpi on your rom

Hey everyone
This is my first guide so please be polite
In this guide I will show you how to setup 240dpi or possibly an dpi on your rom.
Links to all the requisites will be given below.
But what is dpi ?
It is the value that manages most ui of the system. a lower dpi means everything would be smaller hence more things could be fitted in the giant screen we have. a higher means everything would be larger hence less could be fitted into the screen
Before We Begin I Want To Clarify The Following-
1)First and foremost I am not responsible for any damage you cause.
2)I assume you have already rooted your phone and have some experience with rooting.
3)You have made backup to be sure that in case you mess up you you can return to what it was like before.
4)Read the whole post before actually starting.
5)Please Hit Thanks Button If I Helped You
So let's Begin-
1)Download and setup xposed framework (Very good instructions on how to do it in the thread) (You need to reboot).
2)Download these modules - xposed app settings , gappscrashfix , all apps in play store.
3)Enable all the 3 modules (You need to Reboot).
4)Now open xposed app settings and set open each app listed below and in dpi enter 320 but don't change anything else.
-calculator
-camera
-clock
-contacts
-dialer storage
-fm radio
-messaging
-task manager
-touchwiz home
-weather widget main
Now some of these could be skipped or some could be added(can be tested but imao that will make the ui ugly but still it's completely your choice).
Also modded versions of some of these apps has been provided by bala_gamer.
5)Before we begin copy the modded samsung keyboard from the link given or setup some other keyboard and make it default.
6)Now open /system/build.prop or use a build.prop editor if you are very conscious and change the following line "ro.sf.lcd_density=320" to "ro.sf.lcd_density=240"
7)Now before we reboot we need to include apply one fix , so instead of rebooting , power off your phone
8)Then go into recovery and flash the modded samsung keyboard.
9)Reboot and enjoy 240dpi.
Note -
1)The stock keyboard will constantly force close on 240 dpi (if you use xposed settings to set it to 320dpi, you will be practically unable to use it), so bala_gamer(thank him) has customized it to work properly on 240 dpi.
2)Recovery must be custom (ofcourse ).
3)Be sure to flash the correct version of modded apps (i.e. 4.1.1 if you have it or 4.1.2 if you have that)
4)I don't know if gappscrashfix and allappsinplaystore are actually required but nothing bad in using it.
5)I know the explanation of dpi is incorrect but that's all you need to know.
6)Installing xposed framework doesn't affect simplistic framework at all.
7)The gappscrashfix and allappsinplaystore you download would be in .zip format. Just rename them to .apk and you can install it then.
8)Many apps especially the system ones or samsung ones aren't ment to scale well. They are just meant to look good at 320dpi so they will look way ugly at 240dpi. To fix this xposed settings is used. You need to set it for each app that you think is ugly.
9)You can use mobile odin to flash the zip. Just use ota tab.
Finally the links-
1)xposed framework - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401 (Link to modules page in his thread).
2)modded apps - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001577
And not to forget credits
-rovo89 for framework
-bala_gamer for modded apps
-numerous other people who helped me in some way or the other (please pm me if I forgot anyone).
Great Job & Guide my friend.
Thanks

At which point should we flash the modded apps?
And also, I assume that if I use only Swiftkey I can skip the modded samsung keyboard flashing step, right?.

Flash it after you set 240 dpi
Yeah correct if you just wanna use SwiftKey then you don't need to flash it.
Mind it that you will get continuous fc pop ups of Samsung keyboard if you remove SwiftKey.

You can change the dpi of other apps normally in pa settings.
These modded apps will probably not work with jellybam but you can try if you want to.

For those wondering what to so with the gappscrashfix.zip and allappsplaystore.zip from the villainrom site, just rename the file to apk and install. The message to enable it in the xposed will come, enable it and then reboot. Think the op should give a mention in the 1st post.

This is all great but it would be even better if there was a mod for 4.1.2 roms to place the status bar at the bottom with the soft navigation keys like in a tablet ui. I found one but it seems to only work for 4.1.1.

Yeah once I see a new changes or tweaks in Skia and Bionic I'll definitely update it, but the ROM is currently fast and stable so try it out.
So I really like this ROM thanks for it..
Only issue I been having is that google wallet doesn't work. I have no option to tap and pay, I finally was able to restore an old version of google wallet and its giving me this error: Google wallet is not yet available for your device or mobile network..
I am thinking maybe its a build.prop issue?

Ok so I think I fixed it.. I just had to change a few values in the build.prop.. heres what I changed.
ro.product.model = Nexus 4 (changed from Mako)
ro.product.brand = google (changed from Android)
ro.product.name = occam (changed from full_mako)
Seemed to have fixed it
I can't seem to find out which module made the report button say "reboot" instead of "report"... very weird thing, but it's not that big of a deal.

Another question, its not a huge deal and it might just be a module I have enabled..
But sometimes I get stuck in a weird loop.. like I am in a app hit the recent app menu, go into another app and then if I hit back key it goes back to the recent menu, then if I hit back again goes back to the app, hit back again it goes back to recent apps. etc etc
I don't think stock ever did that.. Its not a huge deal just odd?
*edit* I can't duplicate it but it happens..

But I been wanting to someday build my own ROMs from source, now I googled and found some easy enough guides about making a build enviroment and building from source etc.. But what I was curious about is building with different toolsets (like saber) and also what is involved in cherry picking from other roms.
Any good noob guides that you have used / know of that could help me learn?
Again thank you so much for a great rom
I'll guide you when you're available. Just PM me.

Found volume wake option in modaco toolkit under htc one options(after enable it you must do a soft reboot to make it work), for those that like this option on their rom :d

Hong Kong MK3 rom (Google Drive link added)

For those wanting to upgrade to a newer 4.3 build, I have just flashed the Hong Kong MK3 rom which has a build date of 15th November and a higher change log than the India release
It's stock Samsung without any operator bloat. Am finding it very fast and smooth but as always it could be just be a placebo effect.
Flashed the latest version of TWRP and then rooted with Dr Ketan's Multi tool. Obviously the Knox trigger is now activated but that's not a concern to me.
Just tested some gaming with NFS - Most Wanted and is very smooth.

1. Be curious if you have success flashing the Note 3 App Open project (Ketan/Tamirda tgread).
2. Have you tried xposed framework?
Noted that Know is present - like you I don't have warranty concerns.
3. So bootloader gets flashed during install? I'm using Ketan's v5 ROM without the new bootloader

2. Xposed working fine, running Greenify and Boot Manager modules

Currently uploading the rom to Google drive for anyone that wants it...it could take a while though

Dear kersey
can you use KNOX application after the Root ?!
Already installed it , Arabic Languages with other is there , find some delay in rendering the lockscreen and homescreen if i pressed home button , will wipe again and test
not a lot of new features and the update looks weird , the mix between new icons and setting menu and old launcher seems to be odd but we can do nothing about it if you want to be the closest to stock experience

After rooting I de-bloated it all, got rid of Knox and most of the Samsung stuff including S-voice which I find helps with the response from lock screen to home screen.

So far every thing is working OK , installing my apps and will start using the ROM on daily basis
annoyed that i can't add Lock Screen widgets if i chooses to use Pattern or Pin for security also in 4.1.2 there was an option to get the Ripple effect screen before moving to the real Pattern or Lock Screen which is gone now
Is it only my device or after this update and using the device for while not at heavy tasks just facebook or whatsapp it gets a little bit warm
the device is getting warm from the back around the camera , so any other one have the same issue ?!
already wiped my device many many times but still the same

So...what does the "S" in our device name stand for u ask? Well...on your planet many may say it means "SUPER" or "SAMSUNG" or even "SKYHIGH" (lol...soon hopefully ). Just to be clear i am NOT a dev by any means...only another enthusiastic user looking to make a few improvements to his device so i & others may enjoy it more. I guess i should start out by saying that i created this rom for personal use simply so i wouldnt have to individually reapply every mod after a fresh firmware flash...my main motivation in doing so is to add back functions that samsung saw fit to remove from our tab such as the lockscreen widgets & quadview. So, while i will be open to suggestions to make this a better rom, i'm not actually interested in making it "pretty" with cosmetic changes since my first focus will be function over form...however anyone with expertise in theming is more than welcome to create flashable packages if u would like to. The only thing that has been removed is knox but i'm sure u can find a list of apks that are safe to eliminate elsewhere on xda (u can delete the files directly from the zip or uninstall after u flash)...with this being the first version please dont expect anything too fancy so for now just consider this a "stock plus stuff" WIP & with that being said i will now release for the rest of my fellow TAB S owners SuperSamsung V2!
ROM FEATURES! (see screenshots in second post...basic instructions located below photos)
1. Rooted
2. Deodexed
3. BusyBox
4. Init.d
5. Zip-Aligned
6. No Knox (this is the only thing that has been removed...anything else will need to be deleted from the zip or uninstalled after flash)
7. QuadView! (4-way multiwindow found in 12.2 note pro....thx @xperiacle)
8. Lock Screen Widgets! (FINALLY figured out how to re-enable these...thx @Goldie for the info)
9. Assistive Light Widget (adds led flashlight widget...other apps unnecessary)
10. SDfix (apps can now write to external memory...no need for playstore fix)
11. Floating Multiwindow (mysteriously missing along with the ability to rename shortcuts...both have been added back)
12. Stock Widgets in ANY Launcher! (now use the stock samsung magazine widgets in your favorite launcher or on the lockscreen...see pics in post #2 below)
13. Screen Mirror Fix! (no more broken wifi display with custom kernel/recovery...once again thx goes to @esgie)
14. AC3 Sound (can now play movies with ac3 in any video player...thx to @bodivas)
14. MultiWindow Mods (added the ability to use MOST apps in floating mode as well as more than one copy at the same time WITHOUT needing another app...also automatically adds all apps on your device to the availability list)
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS!
1. Copy rom to device
2. Boot into download mode, flash custom recovery then IMMEDIATELY hold power, volume up & home to boot into cwm/twrp
3. install zip & wipe both caches
4. Open Supersu & when asked to update "su" binay choose "cwm/twrp" method...device will reboot with full root
5. I suggest installing nova launcher & even completely deleting all touchwiz/magazine apks for smoothness/memory purposes...this step is optional
6. If u need 4 way reboot, call & screen recording, volume key music control, or want to add more apps to multiwindow plus a bunch of other stuff then i HIGHLY recommend wanam xposed module...of course this is optional as well
KNOWN ISSUES!
1. lockscreen widgets can only be deleted in portrait orientation
2. music widget has no buttons & gallery widget is blank when used with other launchers
3. wifi passwords may be forgotten upon reboot...please flash the skyhigh kernel by @UpInTheAir for a fast fix (recommended anyway)

@UpInTheAir Whats been going on bro...dont know if u remember me but i was the one who ported multiwindow to the tab plus/7.7. Just wanted to touch bases & make this a formal request to include your kernel when u complete it...also i have one feature request if u can find time. Didnt want to pm u because im sure other users have been blowing your inbox up so feel free to send me a message or reply here...whatever is more convienient for u
@edan1979 i remember u being one of the original testers of my multiwindow mod on the P6800 so i just wanted to say thx...i hope that i'm not stepping on any toes by creating another t705 rom but i knew i had one killer feature which users would want (lockscreen widgets) plus a few missing multiwindow extras so i felt the need. So to both u & upintheair i just wanna say....i'm glad we are all on the same device now & look forward to making the most of this tab together :highfive:
here u go guys...a few photos along with basic instructions
LOCKSCREEN WIDGETS
View attachment 2896482
this is "hd widgets" being shown on the lockscreen...to add more widgets simply swipe right on your clock & u will see the "plus" icon which brings up the list
FLOATING MULTIWINDOWS
View attachment 2896490
not sure how no one noticed this was missing but here goes the floating mode...just "tap" the icon in the multiwindow launcher instead of dragging it to create a new movable/resizable app window (please note that not all apps support pop-up/floating view...however this has been modded in V2 so no extra apps are necessary to enable this feature)
QUADVIEW
View attachment 2896528
this is the 4-way multiwindow mode also known as "quadview" which was present on the 12.2 inch pro tabs...to set this up just drag 2 apps to split screen as u usually would then drag 2 more to any corner and they will highlight/snap in place. Also...for users who didnt know u can save a shortcut with up to 4 apps by touching the 2 lines at the bottom of the multiwindow bar, pressing create, then naming the combination whatever u would like to call it which will then be located at the top of the launcher when u open it
STOCK WIDGETS IN ANY LAUNCHER
although this screenshot APPEARS to be a regular magazine home page in the touch wiz launcher if u look a lil closer then you will notice the dock with the app icons...now all of your stock samsung widgets can be used used in the your favorite launcher such nova or apex as well as om the lockscreen
MULTI INSTANCE
ok i know what you're thinking...either "exactly how many browser windows do u need" or "how confused are u with all of that contradictory news" As u have guessed...V2 now includes the ability to have more than one copy of the same app open at the same time
i wonder when will you pop up in this section... ^_^ with your custom...
@THEDEVIOUS1
no worry... the more the merrier... ^_^ i just release my normal build since no one does... kind of basic and nothing much.

well...i was waiting on that since i had been having bluetooth/wifi issues which prevented me from releasing the rom earlier. Most important question...which device are u using (size & type)? One quick fix may be to change the "securestorage" setting in the build prop from "false" back to "true"...it may be that your modem/kernel dont match the rest of the rom which would mean u need to flash the NG2 stock odin firmware before u flash SuperSamsung. Also...which recovery are u using just out of curiosity?

I'm using the 10.5 variant (SM-T800) and yes I had not odined the newer NG2 firmware. I just odined that now and the WiFi is working so that was probably it. I'll flash your rom in a bit after I'm set up. I was using openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.1-chagallwifi for my recovery. I'm betting flashing the Odin firmware will do the trick.
Thank you :good:
Good stuff mate. Yes, I remember and thanks again for the work you did for my 7.7 ROM. A lot of users enjoyed it.
Just arrived through the door after being away the last month. Will start to look at the kernel in good time. Family and sleep time first.
There might be some issues with the kernel and newer firmware. Still getting feedback to get things narrowed down. ...
There is a feature request in the kernel thread (Web view). Can't promise much as I'm no Dev, but am going to rebase the kernel from another source and with the ramdisk from the latest firmware. Might start downloading now and setup github.
Will also be looking at 10.5" kernel too, so lots to hopefully look forward to
Will look forward to trying your ROM, but for the moment I use and test on rooted official firmware as I don't want to debug the user's own ROM.
In my kernel, I set secure storage to false in the ramdisk and fixes the wifi issue.

no problem at all on the assistance with the rom...looks like it might be my turn to phone in a favor in the near future. yeah...i didnt want to touch the kernel in mine because thats actually what breaks the screen mirroring NOT root. As long as u have a factory recovery & kernel it will work ok...also as u have pointed out in the other thread there is a file that can be hacked to enable it but unfortunately it seems that the location still hasnt been found on 4.4.2 exynos devices & i know from personal experience on my lte tab pro with the snapdragon that it only worked with an altered recovery even with the fix...meaning if the kernel was touched then it would still be broken. The guy who hacked our file (@esgie) came up with a simple build prop edit that is supposed to work around that but i had to file an insurance claim on my pro & ended up replacing it with the tab s so i never got chance to test. Anyway...i said all of that to say that its believed that wireless display runs sum sort of checksum against the key/signature of the boot image or perhaps thats part of the same trustzone/secure storage issue as wifi. Speaking of which...I assumed that too which is why i already altered the build prop to false but before that i was running into a weird camera/bluetooth issue which i tracked to knox traces still left in the zip.
@ anyone with a definite answer...a quick question or 2 that are a bit off topic
has someone been able to confirm that the sixaxis app works with our tab through a bluetooth ONLY connection...in other words WITHOUT needing to be plugged into the tab with an otg cable?
Looking forward to trying this when I get home

although its easy enough to add i purposely tried not to include alterations that were already handled by xposed modules....well one being wanam in particular especially when u consider all the work it would take to modify & maintain the code on 4 different devices. it does so much & is so good at it that even though i like my mods built directly in ive gotten used to installing it on every new device i own...so with that said if u need 4 way reboot, call & screen recording, volume key music control, want to add more apps to multiwindow plus a bunch of other stuff then i HIGHLY recommend wanam xposed module. If i find that a lot of users are steering clear of this rom because its missing that one feature then i may put it in an update but to be honest i dont see why they would...u will still need to add extra apps to your device for at least multiwindow so i say why not use xposed
First of all, great ROM! Thank you for your work!
I have a SM-t705 , the 8.4 LTE version.
I flashed STOCK NG2 and then this ROM and it works superb.
Only one issue: CPU Spy reports that Deep Sleep is never achieved. When it is iddle , it stays at 250Mhz.

[HOWTO] Xposed Framework alpha install guide -{possible with odexed rom/many reboots}

Here's a very short guide how I managed to install XPosed on M9+ on S-on. On s-off don't try, it bootloops, no fix found that for yet, you must be s-on
It's not with latest release by rovo, I didnt try it yet at all. But anyway, here's what I did.
First of all, you take all responsibility if following this guide, installing these things on your phone.
Second I have no credit regarding the framework or anything, so I'm just sharing how it worked out for me. All credits to rovo86.
Third: make a damned backup in custom recovery before even bothering installing it
Had an odexed ROM on my phone, and it worked. So e.g. CleanSlate 1.1 I had installed, without deodexation.
Downloaded:
xposed-sdk21-arm64-20150430.zip
XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha2.apk
From custom recovery (TWRP), I installed the framework xposed-sdk21-arm64-20150430.
Then rebooted. After about 30 minutes of App optimization with a dozen or more soft and hard reboots, the process finished with the optimization and phone started.
Then I installed the alpha2 3.0 XposedInstaller APK from file manager (Unkown Sources enabled).
Then started it, Downloaded a mod, ticked it and soft rebooted from Xposed installer. Then it was showing that the XPosed bridge is working fine and I could install mods and they mostly work.
- Unfortunately Sense Toolbox 2.0 for Sense 7.0 does not start because M9+ has another framework structure than M9 Android 5.0.2. The com.htc.resources.apk is gone, and thus the mod cannot work.
- Xtended Settings do work most parts, no crashes, very good!
- Sygic crashes with XPosed, you need to install an older version of Sygic to avoid crashes with XPosed, download APK here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-lollipop-sygic-causing-problems-t3114229/page4
That's all.
All credits to @rovo89
Also check out Sense Toolbox 2.1.1+, it's a perfect completion of customized Sense 7 experience on m9+
===========
UPDATE: tried latest installer from official thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 (xposed-v66-sdk21-arm64.zip - [(5.55 MB, 250 views) and XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk - (611.8 KB, 72418 views)
it works, but same VERY slow process after installation of framework, optimization takes about 1 HOUR with countless soft and hard reboots.
Known issue (with these alphas, and latest too): Sygic is crashing with XPosed installed
Does it work xtended settings

i've since removed XPosed since I want to use Sygic in the coming days.
Maybe someone else can try and answer.
Probably it might work partially, and at least it will start, because it's using stock android UI for the settings part, while Sense Toolbox is using HTC framework and does not start on Android 5.1 HTC M9 and Android 5.0.2 M9+ (because of the missing com.htc.resources.apk).
I may try it later tho when I get back from this vacation in about a week, if no one else tries till then. I'm curious too

i've since removed XPosed since I want to use Sygic in the coming days.

Actually i've tried it, i was too curious, and Xtended Settings does work Installed latest from here too: XPosed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 (new installers compared to the ones i detailed in my original how-to.
Anyway, Sygic still crashes with the new version
Actually now I've reverted Sygic back to this version here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-lollipop-sygic-causing-problems-t3114229/page4 and it works without crash. Turned out Auto update for sygic in play store. Xtended Settings seems to be so good, it's worth the wait with the old sygic version
If you actually install Xposed framework: on an odexed rom (like CleanSlate 1.1) this time it took me about an HOUR till it finished the optimization process (many soft and hard reboots), but after that I have no issues, apart from the fact that it always Optimizes 3 packages on every reboot, but that's not too much time...annoying, but it's bearable, if you really like XPosed

Just use the ones here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 and yes arm64, sdk 21
And be prepared for an hour of watching optimization going on with reboot after reboot... but in the end it finished and worked for me

Is the optimization reboot effect caused by the ROM (CleanSlate) being Odexed? Am just curious as most ROM's (all I have used) have been Deodexed on past devices.
Would be interested to see if a Deodexed version of CleanSlate ROM would have the same effect when installing Xposed?
Bit of a noob when it comes to Odexed and Deodexed ROM's and it might just be a hardware thing on the M9+ but I'm reading up to learn more.
Cheers

No. On deodexed same but I hit more issues, for example facebook force closed with my deodexed rom (didn't check if it's because of xposed) Anyway it reboots many times on the deodexed too while optimization goes on. Most probably HTC MTK framework specific issue
If u have xposed installed
this will help http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-extreme-battery-life-t3095884

The Sony like mod looks quite promising. My friend has a z3 compact and it lasts 3-5 days. Incredible.
Have you tried that?
Sense toolbox 2.1 out, compatible with m9+ framework (material design fallback)
Sense toolbox in action
5 rows sense Home, transparent google now.
5X6 app drawer with no footer
Blinkfeed without dock
Perfect notification bar mod like battery icon with percentage
And many more
Just donated to the developer for bringing the greatest sense customization to sense 7 and m9+

Had to do a full reboot and it started to work. Soft reboot was not enough.
I'm using 2.1.1 latest, I think it is a stable version

i have SElinux Enforcing. I don't like the idea of permissive for security reasons, so I'm glad they work. Im using PowerNap , Sense Toolbox and Youtube mods
