[Q] Noob screwup - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I rooted my sm-900v verizon note 3, installed custom jellybeans rom successfully, then I was going to install hyperdrive booted safestrap and wiped everything on the phone, for some reason I had to restart my phone, now I cant get it to boot up, tried using the recovery mode to install either jelly beans or hyperthread,
I wipe the cache
Then I wipe data/factory reset
Then I choose apply update fron external storage
Choose the custom rom fronm the root of the sd card
And I get an E: signature verification failed
Also tried using odin mode and odin 3.09v to install, unzipped the file and tried to load into odin, cant find the md5 file, some please help!
I did do a TWRP back up, cant really load safestrap since android wont boot.

Head over to the Verizon forum on here, they can help you better

[Q] Nexus 4 - choose update from SD card - no files found

This is really embarrassing.I desperately need help.
Earlier today i rooted my nexus 4 and everything seemed to be working just fine. I installed CWM 6.0.2.3.
Then i tried to flash my device with the latest ROM i.e. Kitkat
However i didn't copy the radio image in my device. And i panicked. However when i tried flashing the ROM, It showed status 7 error,
and i did a factory reset, dalvik cache wipe. When i tried starting my phone it didn't start.
Now finally, i can access my recovery mode HOWEVER when in bootloader, my PC does not recognize the device, But, it is recognized once in recovery. And the second problem is that when i try the
"Choose file from SD card"
i get error "No Files found"
So now i can't flash a new recovery. Neither can i flash another ROM because the choose file from SD card doesn't seem to be working
Please help me
Boot into boot loader; download and run the toolkit. Flash stock image. Sit back and let it do its thing. Remember, it will wipe everything on the phone.

[Q] Can't flash recovery zip

Hi,
I'm at my wits end. I had SlimRom installed for a week and all was fine, but I was curious about what new ROMs were out there so I backed up my phone using ROM Manager and did all the usual stuff to get a new ROM. I installed Gummy, but didn't like it; I installed one other ROM that I can't remember its name, but also didn't like that. I realized my comfy home of SlimRom was where I wanted to be, so I tried to flash the backup.zip that I had created but it kept saying installation aborted (Status 0).
After hours of countless attempts and just weird behaviour (sometimes boot loops, sometimes not booting into recovery, etc.) I finally got my phone back to stock.
I downloaded the latest SlimRom file 3 times to make sure it wasn't a corrupt zip (twice from my PC and once from my phone directly). Both the zip directly from Slim as well as the backup.zip that I made with ROM Manager give me the same installation aborted. The other error it gives is "E: Error in /data/media/0/slim....zip". I'm wondering if somehow my partition is screwed up. I tried using Odin's repartition, which just erased my recovery partition, but I got that back thankfully! When I wipe data/factory reset it says wipe complete (and the ROM does reset to factory) but it also says "E:unknown volume '/sdcard/.android_secure' "...I'm wondering if that relates to why the backup.zip file won't read properly. Maybe the partition got screwed up somehow?
I can flash a SU zip so it's not a flashing problem, per se. And thankfully Odin always works!
I think I may need the stock PIT file for the Telus S4 l337m, which I found but my phone says "secure check fail: pit"
I'm not sure where to go from here...
Rom manager is your problem. That software I'd waaaaay out of date and rarely ever works on newer phones.
Get you goo manager. Allow SU. Then hit the menu button and then hit install openrecoveryscript. You will get TWRP recovery. Then you follow the OP of your ROM of choice to install.

Thanks for the suggestion. I used Goo but it was no help. I can flash other ROMs fine. It seems to be just SlimBean that I can't flash :s. I've used TWRP recovery as well as CW and neither work.
Any other ideas?
This is a pickle I am completely unsure about, then... I am sorry I can't be of more assistance. It does seem like the partition is borked.

or you can just download another rom (I actually use SlimRom 4.3. It's really nice BTW)
download the rom, put it on external sd card. Go to recovery and
1) wipe data/factory reset
2) wipe cache
3) go to mount then format system
4) go to Advanced then format dalvik cache
5) go to install then external sd card and browse to your rom
6) Enjoy
I had issues with updating from CM10.2 to CM11 however I never got to the stage it got stuck in a bootloop although this could be due to new permissions that CM11 require. Ensure you have the latest ClockworkMod installed as that should install it correctly. I also suggest doing a wipe after installation as well as using PA Gapps if you want to used any system google apps.

What ROMs are you flashing? Did you make sure they're for your model/flash a kernel for your model?
Noob instructions....

Make sure you stick to roms for the i337m because there are roms for the i337 (US version) in here also. You say you are stuck in odin mode which sounds like you are trying to flash with odin, you should be flashing through twrp (custom recovery).
1. boot to recovery, volume up + home + power when you see the samsung logo release the buttons
2. make a nand backup of your stock rom (Cache + system+ data)
3. make a backup of you efs
4. reboot to your stock rom, make sure you have everything backed up to your Google account (apps and contacts)
5. download a rom (mapeleaf is good, Google edition by Danvh is also good, I have used both)
6. do md5 check to ensure your download is good (there are free tools you can download to do this) the md5 is always given with the file on the download page.
7. put an i337m rom of your choice onto your external sd card, you can use your charger cable plugged into your pc (they are always a .zip file
8. reboot to recovery
9. wipe (advanced wipe in twrp) select dalvic, cache, system and internal storage if you feel brave but make sure it is internal and not your external sd card. Failure to do this step will result in a bootloop......
10. Select install and naviagte to your external sd card, select you rom zipped file.
Once twrp finishes.... reboot
11. Sign in and wait for the system to download and install all your apps....
12. Enjoy

Install Firmware Help

I have a T Mobile Note 3. I originally had Jelly Bean firmware. I rooted it and have gone through several custom ROMs. I was using Cyanogenmod 12 Lollipop, but today it started messing up. So, I went into recovery and wiped the data and dalvik, but that didn't help. So, I wiped EVERYTHING. Even what was on the SD card. Now, I am following steps using ODIN to install firmware again, but it isn't working.
I have gotten as far as to install CWM, but that's it.
I have CWM 6.0.4.7 installed.
I tried installing CF autoroot. I have downloaded and installed KitKat stock firmware files. Each time I try to install ODIN just says it failed.
If I could get a custom ROM on the SD card, I think I would be ok, but even though ODIN works, Windows doesn't let "see" my phone. I can't access the storage through the computer.
Someone please help. I'm stuck.

What error in odin? Just mount your SD card on a card reader, plug to a PC and put CM there. Then just flash with twrp.
