Hi! ?
I've been looking for answers, but never got one...
Just wondering if it is possible to get the stock S4 camera apk on AOSP 4.4.2 rom?

danvdh's version is also great, no problems installing and running. Camera works well too.

Danvdh's ROM is by fat the smoothest and most stable for me.

I'm using jamal's rom for two weeks now and got two minor bugs. Twitcasting app doesn't work in stock kernel. But I installed Alucard's one and now it's OK. But another more annoyance thing happened 4 times or so: the screen in which you accept or decline incoming calls vanished when receiving one call and I wasn't able to open it anymore. Only after rebooting the device.

Does Danvdh's rom works nice in any GS4? It says in the post that this rom supports only Canadian and T-mobile variants. My GS4 is from Brazil.

4.4.3 is coming this month, it's mostly bug fixes.
You should be more excited for 4.5 (Lollipop) which is coming this year.
Looks good. But I'm also curious about this Lollipop mentioned. Confirmed?

Build.prop edit?
Sorry guys. Have been super busy. I'll be going out of town soon for a while. When I get back I'll give a try.
I'll keep ya posted.
So, if you're rooted, you won't get the update? I got 4.4.2 while rooted.

Huh? First I've heard of it. I got mine with 4.3 and the 4.4.2 update came like a day later and I updated while un-rooted. But I know that it won't work if your rooted.

rooting alone has nothing to do with getting, or not getting updates.
I went from 4.3 to 4.4.2 rooted, and everything.
What matters is things like /system changes, recovery, and sometimes kernel (if it changes).
And even recovery is not really an issue (at least with twrp), you just boot into twrp, find the ota update in /cache, and manually flash it, clear caches, reboot, easy peasy.
As for /system changes, just flash a stock system.img, get the update, and you're golden.
Or you can just wait till someone releases a flashable 4.4.3 and use it.

Exactly what he said!
If it's not a build.prop edit, it's very curious and interesting. Maybe can you dump your ROM and upload it for inspection ?
It's a DEB device, so it sounds great
Thanks

Any chance you might flash the 4.4.2 factory image, then grab the 4.4.3 update again and pull the update URL from the logcat so we can all enjoy?

Last time I checked, aosp Roms don't work with the i337 because of the locked boot loader. And last time I checked we don't have a root method (this could have very well changed, I was off for a month or two) for NB1 4.4. If you were to do a work around you may be able to get black box working but I'm not sure.

You can get BlackBox 3.0 to work.
Follow Deadly Venom KitKat Magic Tool (DVKMT) thread to partial downgrade to MK2. Root using saferoot. Follow DVKMT to install BlackBox3.0. More in All things AT&T MK2 and NB1
Note: With BB3.0, gmail and camera will FC. To solve this, uninstall them using titanium backup and install the latest from play store.
There are other ROMs that have AOSP options.
1. FoxHound v4.6.1
2. GoldenEye v29 with Domination v2.1 theme
3. ChaosRom v2.5.2
Can anyone please compile aosp rom(4.4.3) with volume rocker wake and halo enabled? Later with pie when pa releases the source code.
Thanks in advance.

http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.nagopy.android.xposed.utilities
And for pie you can use this:

I have a g900f currently running cyanogenmod 12.1 but find that after a few weeks of installing it it slows down so looking for a recommendation for another role I can try.
Looking mainly for performance from The rom and need to use it for work too.
Thanks Bart

because it works 100% like stock rom (included fingerprint) with Android 5.1.1, xposed and like S6 Edge.
It works smooth and very well over BOJ1.
I do a full nand backup, intalled the BOJ1 and after, the TW.
