S4 unroot file please!

Hey everyone,
Can someone post the 4.3 unrooted rom I need to UN root my phone.. The isssues i've been having I talked to my buddy at sprint and he said to unroot it and bring it in for exchange...
" his phone does the same as mine " but my wifes does not...
Idk worth a try I guess.
I found CNEXUS's post about unrooting but the file has been removed..
AGAIN I want to unroot to stock rom..

It was removed because it didn't work.
Just Odin the MJA.tar and you'll be back to unrooted stock.

Okay now what file is it I need the room I installed is stock looking.
I cannot get rid of super user.
Also it still have a custom boot screen. Yellow writing shows up.
I don't want that.

How fast is your internet ?
And the file is in a zip. So you have to unzip then use the tar file.

Just to be clear, you download to your computer and use odin to flash the stock tar file not recovery.

After flashing stock mja i get boot loops on sprint logo. Any solution for that?

I wanted to go to stock firmware and i downloaded the official mja stock firmware. I was on sacs 4.3 v4 . Went through odin , put the phone in download mode and flashed the stock firmware. Everything went fine booted normally passed the galaxy s4 logo , the samsung logo and after i got to the yellow sprint logo i got stuck there. I left phone for more than 15 minutes nothing happened. After that i removed battery left the phone for 5 minutes and booted back again and now it wont even pass galaxy s4 logo. It reboots immediently. Now phone goes ONLY in download mode. I can not get into recovery but i can flash things through odin. Even custom recoveries. BUT I CANT ACCESS THEM through the traditional method(Hardware buttons) . Adb doesnt show my device serial number so i can put it into recovery from there. Any help please ?

I had the same happen when i went back to stock. I odin again waited 10min on sprint screen then booted

So I think I figured out my issue. Even tho my friend at sprint said his phone does the same.
My wifes phone we got them on the same day. Hers works. I just checked this morning and hers is on 4.2.2 mine is 4.3.
Any os rom for our phone that will bring mine back to 4.2.2?
I know about getting it to my comouter. We dont have interwebs at the house. Just our phones

There is no going back to 4.2 once your on 4.3

So basicly I need to wait it out until its fixed.
Even changing the phone for a new one wont change it. Theyll all be 4.3.
Does anyone else have this issue after switching to 4.3.
I have tried numerous roms. And nothing has fixed it. Except gokng to optons. More networks. Mobile. And switching off the lte and going to cdma only.

[Q] OTA updated failed

Hello. I am on a rooted stock Galaxy S4, and I tried to use the OTA update to 4.3. It rebooted, but I am still on 4.2.2. I do have the replacement files to enable tethering. Will that interfere with my update? Is there something else I need to check to install it to get to 4.3? Also, the update is still in the "Cache" folder, but it doesn't show up in my "notifications" any more. Help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to just use the OTA update? That is what I prefer rather than downloading and installing something that someone has altered.

I can look into it. But whenever I decide to take an OTA ,I usually return to full stock.. Always better to start clean..

That's what I intended to do. I just wanted to install the OTA for a full, clean install. The phone said it was installing, but when it rebooted, nothing had updated.

So, do you mean to say that an OTA update will not work if the phone is rooted? I read in another thread that others have used the Super User "Survival Mode" to keep root and have successfully used the OTA update. Should I unroot? Then, would I be able to use the OTA? Do the tethering files keep me from being able to use the OTA?

1. DL and flash stock MF9 recovery AND kernel
1B (optional). Triangle away to make your device "official" and reset your binary counter
2. DL stock MF9 tar
3. Flash it in Odin
4. Accept the MJA OTA; wait for it to DL and install
5. Re-root.

Where do I find the Stock MF9 Recovery and kernel? I have the stock recovery. Never used CM or anything else on this phone. Where do I find the Stock MF9 tar? Are there specific instructions for using ODIN to flash these? sorry for being dense. I appreciate the help.

You are way over complicating this thing. Download the full MJA tar file from sammobile and install it done. The reason why the OTA failed is because you have a modified system file and it will abort when it hits it during the install. Also, OTAs won't work if you have a custom recovery installed. Download the full tar file and install it with odin. It will bring you back to full stock and you will be updated. You will have to re root the phone if you want to with cf autoroot. And the survival mode thing has only worked for a couple of people so don't count on that working. Lastly, you do not need to do a factory reset when you odin the full tar so your data will still be there.

One thread has most of your answers on tars. If you couldn't locate the thread of official tars, then I don't know quiet what to say. And that thread plus others explain to you what programs are needed, where to donwload thwm, and a step by step process on how to correctly completed the Odin flashing.

You have to be a little more specific as to what it is your trying to do.

OK, I come under specific detail now. When i flash my l720 with odin, In the top row gray word appears “write protection enable” ,No matter what version rom of radio I flash , The progress bar under the android robot does not move, It seems that odin can't work on this Samsung L720.I am soon to be engaged in a crash of this problem, need help!
My current phone rom version 4.2.2 ,radio is L720VPUAMF9 .

Your probably putting the radio/modem in the wrong place. Are you putting it in the pda or phone slot?

It's absolutely correct position , I think it may be write-protected problem,but i can not solve this problem .

PS:
When i flash the offical rom to pda,odin just post to "aboot.mbn", Then the whole process stops，it seems that this phone can not be flashed with odin.

It works great with odin, make sure you are using a newer version of odin. At least, Odin 3 ver 3.07 or newer. Also, that write protection enable message is on all phones and has nothing to do with using odin. Next, try a different cable, usb port, or computer. Odin works great with the L720 so it is either user error or computer error.

[Q] How Do I Get To MF9 From MK2? Sprint S4

So i updated to MK2 firmware this morning from OTA with my phone running Stock 4.3 MJA. I now realize there's a problem, as it WILL NOT LET ME TURN WI-FI ON. Each time I try, it force switches it off and brings up a KNOX notification saying that the attempt has been blocked. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to get back to the older firmware such as MF9 from MK2 right now? Also, I tried going back to MDC using Odin 3.07 and Odin 1.85, neither worked. Please help.

You can't.. Once your on MJA that's where you are stuck although I believe you can go from MK2 to MJA but that's about it. Otherwise there is no downgrading to any previous firmwares. Please read through the threads... All answers are here if you read...

Hmmmm...I'm now on MK2...just hoping there's some way to get back to MJA even. Also, another thing has caught my eye when the phone turned on. Music force closes and sound doesnt work one bit. Is there any way to factory restore the device at the moment with/ without using Odin? Like an MK2 factory reset file?

I tried the link, although their servers are down so I'm unable to download anything from that site. Is the file I have to download a large 1.53 GB file? Also, Sound doesnt work and Music force closes when i try to use it. Do you know of a way to hibernate or kill any knox related processes in the system so that it stops turning my Wifi off?

Negamann WonderROM has a working r26 ROM that he just finished building today with verified MK2 kernel that works with wifi.

If he didn't take the ota he could of went back. Is that correct? Taking the ota locks the bootloader. If he updated with Odin and Philz recovery he could of keep the mf9 bootloader allowing him to down grade

Waiting for the OP to post back if he was successful in downgrading MK2 to MJA by running the full MJA tar file. I know you can't go back farther than MJA but hoping we can at least downgrade back to MJA if we need to after a failed upgrade or bad ota.

I have downgraded mk2 to mja working fine no Knox flags tripped (still at 0×0). 100% stock everything.

I actually took the OTA from MJA to MK2. thought it would be a better update since it said that before i installed it. Instead, it causes more bugs on my phone, where i cant use Wifi and even play Music, let alone the fact that no sound plays at all on anything and i can't make a call...as the Phone app freezes when i try to make a call.

Please tell me what files you used. because at this point, I just wanna watch a simple Youtube video and call my friends! All of my data (contacts, pics, music) is already backed up on my computer. I don't have Root and i tripped the knox flag once so it says 0x1 which pissed me off

Hey thanks for being great helpers with helping me and my phone troubles...apparently my phone works again! Knox is not blocking my wifi and my sound and Music and Calls and everything is working! I'll post a new thread if any problems arise with this update. But to be honest...stick with MJA guys. Don't go through the same trouble i went through. Too much stress to handle when u can't make a single call or play your fave song or even connect to your beloved Wifi hotspot!

I can confirm that you can downgrade from mk2 to mja as I have done it. They process want difficult at all. Going that OP can get it going and it works out for them.

Ok one question...when u downgraded, where did u find the file? And did the file wipe your data?

I used this. It did wipe everything from my phone. I just made sure to back up everything I wanted to save on my sd card using super backup. You can find that on the play store.

I had the same issue with WiFi not working and get the message. (For details: On a Stock rooted S4, Updated the Security policy and then flashed the MK2 modem).
I went to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42954149 and followed the exact instructions to go back to MJA. It worked. I didn't lose anything. Only a ~26mb download.

I had the exact same problem as the OP with wifi and KNOX notifications upon toggling wifi. This had to do with a bad update which I believe was a result of rooting my phone. Something is weird with recovery after rooting the phone with cf autoroot as it no longer looks like the stock MJA recovery. So when I manually installed the MK2 update using what I believed was the stock recovery, I experienced serious issues such as what the OP described.
In any case, I used ODIN to flash the MJA tar which restored everything back to normal. Then I used the stock recovery to apply the update zip file and everything went without a problem. Then I flashed cf autoroot with ODIN and again, the recovery looks different from the stock MJA and MK2 recovery, but everything works fine. I did not do a data wipe during any step of the process and have seen no ill effects so far.
So the take home message is, if you rooted the phone ODIN stock MJA or MK2 if it becomes available before applying any future updates manually. Or ODIN a stock recovery file for your current ROM if one is available. KNOX has nothing to do with this. I disabled KNOX and still could not turn on wifi.

What if you have mf9 baseband? Can i down grade from mk2 to mf9 and if so how do I do this?

So I am no noob, but I am to this device. I am trying to use Odin to flash back to bone stock (unrooted) and am having some weird issues I have never incurred before. When I flash the stock tar file (got from QBKing77's website) it continually fails no matter what cable, USB port, battery tricks, everything! And yes I have searched the threads but found nothing like my issue exactly.
Here's what I've done thus far:
* 12/14 Bought device at Best Buy Mobile
* 12/14 Rooted using Odin, flashed TWRP Recovery using Odin
* 12/14 Flashed Cyanogen Mod 10.2 (stable build)
* 12/16 Flashed S4 Premium Rom 4.2.2
* 12/17 Attempted to Odin back to stock **FAIL**
What is going on here? If anyone has any info or insight please let me know. Odin has never failed me before.

* 12/17 Attempted to Odin back to stock **FAIL**
What is going on here? If anyone has any info or insight please let me know. Odin has never failed me before.

Could be the fact that your on 4.3 bootloader. You either have to odin mja tar file or mk2 tar file.

I am on baseband version L720VPUEMJA. I hope that's what you are asking. Again, I am new to this device, sorry.
The Stock ROM I am trying to Odin to is L720/L720VPUAMDC_L720SPTAMDC_SPR (exact tar file on QBKing's website)
I am currently on the S4 Premuim v1.0 ROM 4.2.2.
I want to get back to stock because I may need to return this phone due to some cosmetic issues I am having.
I want to thank you all for helping me, you are all super helpful and cool. I am looking forward to sharing in the coolness of the S4!

That is the reason it keeps failing..Cant go back to older builds.. You're going to need to flash a stock MJA or MK2 build..

Okay makes sense. So when I find one of those builds, will they be tar files for Odin, and when I do flash it will it unroot and bring my phone completely back to stock with no signs of tampering? BTW, I already used Traingle Away to reset the flash counter. I'm not sure if that even means anything on these devices, but I did it anyway, and it worked great.

Yes sir that is correct,tar files for Odin...Now, you said that there weren't any signs of tampering. Did you check in download mode? If you did truly have MJA installed then you should see something like Knox Warranty Void 0x1...Also if your planning on returning the phone then why not just flash the official MK2 from Sammobile:

Yes it does say Knox Warranty void. Are they really going to see that at a BestBuy Mobile Store though? Thanks again :good:

To be honest I dont know if they'd even check.. But im not 100% sure... It's Samsung that would give you a hard time..
