So I just flashed this ROM in TWRP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2533018
And when I rebooted all I get is the LG logo followed by a black screen with the following:
Secure booting unsuccessful!
Cause :
When I plug it into my computer it never gets recognized. It appears to be stuck in a bootloop.
Advice?

Yeah, I wasn't sure how to get to recovery but I found the way using the physical buttons.
But now I've restored my backup and the phone is stuck at the LG logo on boot. Oy.

Hi guys,
So just received my Nexus 7, the device is rooted and i'm trying to flash clockworkmod to the device.
So far, i've tried both of the toolkits in the developement section, ROM Manager and also flashing the recovery through ADB with the images in the development section too...
With some of them, after selecting recovery from the bootloader, it just stays on the "Google" logo, on other, it just boots up.
The device has no issue's booting, it's just Clockwork that won't boot.
Any ideas please?
Thanks.

Have you rebooted into recovery after flashing and made it perminent? Otherwise the stock recovery will get flashed back (immediately)..
http://www.androidauthority.com/nexus-7-root-unlock-bootloader-clockworkmod-recovery-cwm-100890/
Usually I temp boot CWM, but today I flashed it on both my GNex & Nexus7. Can easily go back to stock recovery if required...
Thanks for the link mate, hadn't seen that one before and indeed, CWM is now working.
Much appreciated.

No problem. When you exit CWM it tries to fix it anyway. Not sure if it just moves the file or what, but the key is to boot into CWM straight after flashing it (I made the same mistake this morning)..
I'm having the exact same issue...so If I re flash the Recovery as Markey Said will I lose the contents of my Internal memory or not?

if your using cwm i found to boot into recovery you have to have the 7 plugged into your computer with the micro usb..i dont know why but it worked for me..are you using the side bottons to get into recovery..if so plugged the cable in first then try to enter recovery
Easiest way is grab quick boot from the play store and it will let u reboot to cwm.. As above said a pc is needed because of a bug.. U can also do it connected to a phone if u have otg cable

I rooted a friends phone and installed TWRP recovery for him. He decided that he wanted to take the OTA so I removed TWRP and installed the stock recovery image. After doing this the phone hasn't been able to find the OTA update. I was just wondering if I might not have gotten the stock recovery to install correctly.

I think I will restore to stock and then root again for him.
I have had my S5 for two days now. I haven't done any modifications to it and have kept it completing stock. I was browsing the internet in Chrome when I got a notification saying there was a security breach and that the phone needed to restart in order to undue any changes made. So I pressed the restart button and it started to restart normally until I saw in tiny blue text "RECOVERY BOOTING....", I didn't think much of it until nothing started to happen after a minute. I let it go for another 5 minutes and then 15 minutes. I came back and still it was at the same screen. I decided to turn the device off and on to see if that would do anything, nothing happened. I took the battery out and waited a few minutes to put it back in, again nothing new. I was looking into other threads about this happening to other phones because the S5 is so new there is nothing on it doing this. But I found no useful information. So my question is, how can I fix this? I don't mind having to reset it, there's only a few apps installed. I'm tech savvy, so I'll now what you mean if you give me any tips. Thank you!
If doesn't matter if you lost the installed apps, then boot to recovery and choose wipe data reset factory and then wipe data cache.then restart your mobile it should solve your problem.

I should have mentioned this in the post but I have tried that, nothing happens. It's already trying to boot into recovery, I wonder if I can get it out of trying to do that.
Try to boot into download mode then restart normally, maybe it gets you out of the recovery booting loop.

I think you should download the stock rom from sammobile or samsung-updates.com sites and reinstall it again.

CSE would probably be the way to go. Try doing a normal bootup and connect your phone to your Pc. See if the pc will recognize it and then try to backup your data.
If that fails and the data is important, I would try the Normal method and hope that it will be successful. If not then CSE.

NP. And after normal flash, even if it fails to boot, again try to see if the computer will recognize it to retrieve your data before you must use the CSE method

OK, so I have a 6p with 3.3.1 fbe 4core and I'm personally still seeing the device fail to decrypt and boot to OS. Even without a password.
When this happens and it happens very often I need to format data.
I eventually would like to have this as a backup phone though with this happening it doesn't seem like its going to happen.
P.S. the disable encryption/verity does not help any. For me at least .
So, I'm asking you all, hopefully for any suggestions or answers.
What can I do to get this device into working order?

Hey, again!
When flashing magisk and still using the proper fbe twrp 3.3.1.img, any idea why my phone won't boot?
P.S. download mode is still enabled.
same issue after battery died
I believe I'm having a similar issue now ...
The device won't boot to OS, goes directly to recovery. Download mode was off so i enabled it using the "fastboot oem ramdump enable" command. However, I'm still stuck?!!
The recovery won't accept my password and I have no way to access (my data) anything. This happened after the phone shutdown when the battery drained.
edit: I cannot even turn off the phone ... it just keeps going back to recovery
Update: I managed to decrypt the data - seems i was entering the wrong pass the whole time - so i'm taking a backup now
update 2: Finally resolved ... it seems that my volume down button (both volume buttons are flaky since the rocker fell a month ago) may have been stuck, causing phone to immediately enter the recovery mode. I managed to boot but fiddling around with the volume buttons. CASE CLOSED
Please help.
