hello all
i like this phone alot and was watching movies with the build in youtube app
but some days later this app keep getting error
error goes like this
start youtube app....
0.50 seconds later it goes back to home screen
so the whole proggram doesnt start up!
i did download a diffrent version form here...
they work well but when a movie is ended my screen goes black and get stuck over there wich seems not working perfect to huh
is there a way to get my ''htc HD2 youtube player'' back
maby its a known issue with the stock HD2 youtube player ??
( srry my english )
i really need help can some1 upload the orriginal HD2 youtube player plz ??
and if i do a soft reset the ''stock'' youtube player wil come back ??

I did a factory restore on my HD2 in the settings menu and it brought back my stock youtube client.
I downloaded the google youtube player from m.google.com, I decided to uninstall it however it took the whole youtube client away even the stock one.
So I had to do a soft reset to get it back to the original.
Basically it just resets your phone back to when you got it when you first bought it.

I too got my youtube app overwritten by the crappy downloadable one.
Can anyone post the stock app as .cab?

Yes a stock youtube .cab would be great for us on T-Mobile as we do not have it on there Rom

Found a solution.
Theres a rip of the HTC Youtube app WVGA here http://depositfiles.com/files/y5xiq2ljl
Installed and restarded and the original app is back, even remembered my bookmarks.

yep works flawlessly on my tmobile hd2 as well!!!!! was planning to flash another rom partly because of no youtube app, but was a in 2 minds because my phone seems to have none of the issues i`v read with other roms, now i dont have to!!!!!!!! thanks alot my friend, am happy now lol

I have the exact same problem - freezes all SENSE. Have you found a cure yet? Has anyone found a cure?
Looks like this link is broken. Any one has the cab ?
I did exactly the same stupid thing to install the cab from m.youtube.com and lost the original one on my HD2.

the link ist working, but i cannot install it! i habe downloaded on my device an i cklick on it, but it doesnt install yet.
Can any of you guys comment on the youtube playback quality, i get an audio lag of about 1/2 second behind the video.
Is this app the same as the original one on the rom?

Im having the same problems with my Tmobile HD2 and Youtube...
When installed I am unable to play video recordings I have made with the phone and the Youtube app crashes when trying to stop a video...
Everything works as normal when Youtube app is removed !
Can anyone help with this problem ?

Love the phone, but that's off topic, long story short the only thing that REALLY bugs me is the poor way flash was integrated, or rather YouTube. I don't understand why it doesn't show the thumbnail in the browser and then take you to the YouTube player app when you click it like every other Android phone I've used. Is there a way to set it to do this?
I've also noticed that when I browse to a story in Newsrob (Google reader app) that has a YouTube video in it, it opens the browser and says some error message about (like it's expecting to be able to use the browser to show a video thumbnail that will take me to the YouTube app to play.)
Is there a way to fix this? The phone has the YouTube app, and the same browser as the Nexus One for example, so I imagine it's more of a disconnect somewhere and not something that would have to be in 2.2 or another update.
Any suggestions?

Mine opens the youtube app when I select a video in the browser on you tube...i did flash the latest firmware,don't know if its something in there.
You could try enabling plugins in the browser settings....just an idea.

Flash lite should come installed by default IIRC, I can't replicate your problem on my phone (GS Korean version), but perhaps it's the site.
First, check your flash:
http://www.whatismyflash.com/
If that tells you you have flash then you have flash and it's enabled. I'm running 9.1.122
If that works, then, check this page:

(just the first youtube video I saw from my favorite gadget site) It shows me a thumbnail preview and loads right up when I click the play button from my SGS. If this works for you then perhaps it's not the phone's problem. Let me know and I'll check my settings, I can't imagine this is a flash lite issue since I think I have the same version of flash lite as the rest of the world. I hope you can replicate the thumbnail and video experience.
I meant to bring up that not all videos have thumbnails, so it'd be important that you had the video(s) in question checked against something with full flash. I probably haven't helped much, but at least you'll be able to know what version of flash you are running...if nothing else.
The steps worked and I was able to see the video thumbnail and it linked to YouTube... I guess my problem is with NewsRob and just from being used to the HTC Flash on the myTouch Slide.
When I go to the what is my flash link it just tells me I have no flash, or it is disabled.
Any idea how I get flash lite until 2.2 drops?

Open your internet. Click on "more" -> "settings" -> "enable JavaScript" & "enable plug-ins"
go back to http://www.whatismyflash.com/ and check to make sure you have flash enabled.
1) there is no customization option in sound profiles
2)I get msg notification only when i open my Whatsapp otherwise no.
3) I have a different keyboard but sometimes the default keyboard appears...
Can anyone specially @NHS2008 have a solution pls

i like the keyboard since its stock google keyboard so havent come across the issue.
i don't have the whatsapp issue you are having since i get proper notifications for my whatsapp :|

1) It happens to me as well sometimes. I believe it is the aggressive memory management policy of GiONEE which keeps killing the Whatsapp process. It doesn't really bother me. But if you are rooted and have installed Xposed, you can try installing the "App Settings" module and make Whatsapp 'resident' app. which will keep the app in the memory.
2) You must set your choice of Keyboard as default in "Setting/Language and input"

Guys need serious help from u all !!
I bought Elife e7 yesterday, facing following issues
1. I am unable to download a single app from playstore.
2. The phone calling volume is very low.
3. 3G internet speed is as compare to 2G

I was using Samsung Galaxy S with same network provider, I never had these issues with it.
2) I can not hear the caller voice because phones volume is to low. Is it problem with my handset?

Yes may be ur handset problem.as nobody with E7 having the problems u stated...visit service center and get it resolved.......
Why is the screen brightness low?
I compared the screen brightness to nexus 5 and it felt quite low...why is it so as they have the same display panel.

Change the sound profile to ring..after that you can customize it..hope this helps

Might be an issue with your network operator....i have no such issues...Also my 3g works much faster than my galaxy s3..and regarding the earpiece volume it quite loud..plz check some other sim card.

How to set different volumes for ringer and notification? i didnt find this option in settings.

Yea i am serious you can use other third party players to play MKV but the default player is unable to play it i have consulted Gionee care persons they have assured me that this problem will be resolved as soon as possible via OTA update.

Well you can always use mx player, try high bitrate movie in it 1080p 25+ bitrate then check how smooth it works.

well I am using many players including MX player on HW+ codecs this phone only have issue with MKV format third party players are a eaisy way to play it but here my concern is default player ,baiscally gionee's cheap phones which cost around 7000 rs playing them smoothly .Well I hope it ll get resolved soon .
Wifi direct malfunction
i cant send or receive files with wifi direct. the connecting device searches connects but the sending is failed.
YAHOO MAIL app doesnt sync mail on its own. the app has to be opened/started to refresh the mails.

It happens with a lot of devices. Aldo happens with HTC One X and S4. I would suggest you use something like ES File Explorer or SupeBeam.
Go to Power Manager/Power Settings and disable 'Auto Clean'.

Hey guys have 2 questions
1. Im new and I know there is 2 versions of the sprint s4 . is there a area for the sprint s4 l720t ? I didn't see it only the standard s4s
2. I recently came from the s3 to s4 l720t I know how to root , back up and so on
One issue I ran across well more of a inconvenience is I rooted and used titanium backup to back up , freeze and so on
When I go to espn.com and try to watch videos I get ( picture attached ) when I try to watch them
Any ideas what I have may deleted and or froze that caused this ?
I have unfroze and reinstalled apps and is still does it
If I cant fix it no big deal... just curious

Nope , I just go to espn , select video , then this pops up...its odd

I had the same thing but this YouTube works
I'm having the same issue... It did work then I rooted my phone, now the option to stretch across the screen won't pop up... Have no idea what the "response" was above.... Perhaps someone could explain that too!!!
I uninstalled YouTube and reinstalled.. No luck... I'm running a rooted Samsung s8... Is there another stock app that needs to be running as well?
