Going to try OMNI but in reading through the threads have seen problems with different gapps, SO WHICH GAPPS should we use with OMNI.
Currently have PA_GAPPS for 4.4 from goo so will try that in the meanwhile.
Will also post my results w/PA_GAPPS.
Thanks

PA Gapps minimal package or Core Banks Gapps.

Most of the device maintainers have been using PA gapps.
You will need to use "mini" gapps on some older devices with small system partitions like i777 and i9100
Yes indeed pa_gapps worked just fine :good:

Because, it's experimental, and not fully supported anywhere. All ROMs are not the same. Else, we'd only have one ROM, and not many.

Dear everyone,
Stop mailing <insert app developer here> asking them to fix their app when using ART. You need to stop using ART until it is fixed. It is experimental for a reason.

Ok, I've been asked to upload this. its an iphone style rom, i ported it from the htc hero. it works but it has major faults.
faults:
wifi not working.
no wake from deepsleep.
screen gets flickery.
As I have been asked to upload by a few members I have, I personaly don't have the time to fix as my partner has fallen ill and I must look after her. the time I do have is dedicated to MY-UI and the miui port. if a dev wishies to fix then please take this rm as your own. . . it is built on cm7 beta 3, so if you complete please give credit.
PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD FOR USE, DEV ONLY.
good luck and god bless.

P.S. no screen shots as rom lacks ability, I made this in a weekend so didn't have time.

It wont be the same. The framework is the onlyway to get half the apps working. I dont know why you would think otherwise. Try it without and see. Some apps will, but not all. Plus the settings will not work. By all means prove me wrong, but you wont manage it. Music, gallery and such are reliant on framework.

Ok i installed this rom
looks really near to ios
really great looks
prob is screen flashes some time
compass,camera ,back light not works
as jusada said its only for devs
But i feel there is only major changes in framework rest same(may im wrong)
but if only major changes in framework then devs can port it to cm7 2.3.7 rather than solve prob of this rom as it may easy compare to solve lots bugs(its im feel not sure,it depend on jusada's answer that it work on cm7 2.3.7 by porting framework?)
its only opinion devs know better
though have to say great work its really awesome
really respect your work
any one want to see screen shots go here its same as in this post as i cant post sceenshots due to flashing screen

Ok, I am a complete noob to this. I am getting a HTC Nexus One and would like to install a custom ROMon it, preferably CyanogenMod, but I'll see what you guys suggest first.
I need a version that will run fast and still use all (or close to all) the phones features easily and with out a hitch. I am not a programmer and have little patience when it comes to debugging issues.
I am aware of the process to install ROM's and need no introductory to the process, just a point in the right direction in terms of with ROM or CM version runs the fastest on a Nexus One and with as few bugs.

Yes you still able to use gapps, just flash it like you flash the ROM. If you're new to flashing custom ROMs, you might want to do some reading before playing with your phone.

Up to me now the best is ICS by Evervolv.
I'm asking a question about that ROM... I created a partion EXT4 with 4ext 1gb large, the rest of the space is for another partition with FAT32.
After i've installed the ROM, i launched the command "a2sd install"; everything went fine but after the installation of some apps, the market said it needed more space, even if there's plenty of space.
How so?

Possibility of editing everything is same as controlling your rom fully.
It's one of the main reason why we all unlock Bootloader.

Sure I can.
You can edit your navigationbar what is a big point for me. You can edit the app-ops by default (like preventing an app from keeping the device awake).
Viper4Android is installed by default (I know not everyone is a fan of the mod, but I can hear the difference especially which my bluetooth speaker in my car).
Kernel Auditor and SuperSu ar also installed by default.
There are settings for the notificationlight (like speed and when to use it).
Jup, I'm using the Nano OpenGApps because I just don't use that many Google-Apps and if I want them I can still install them.
I'm using this ROM for like 2 months and I had 2 sudden reboots which were caused by some error with bluetooth and the beta app of MediaMonkey (a music playerapp).
I'm currently using the CoffeeKernel with an interactive govenor and I only face heating problems when I use my phone while charging or when I wiped the cache on the android is optimizing the apps for the software version.
I hope that helped you!
