Hey Guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 International (I9505) and I rooted it properly with Odin.
But now I want to flash CWM for my S4 but all the tutorials on Youtube are running 4.2.2 Android but, I'm running 4.3
Can I still flash CWM or does it matter what version I'm running?
Greetings, Hammief

Yes, you can flash any recovery ie; CWM/Philz/TWRP. Have a nice day.
Okay, thanks!
Which of these recoveries do you recommend?

Personally , ived been using Philz recovery since i had my s2/s3 and the benefits for this recovery would be exFAT and its features ,and exFat can handle larger files than Fat32 since it can only handle with files up to 4gb? but i might be wrong , so please feel free to use another recovery you want

After rooting your phone with chain fires method , like I did , you need to flash the recovery of your choice and you are good to go.

For some reason, I am unable to flash cyanogenmod based roms.. I am using a T-Mobile S4 Unlocked. I am using the latest CWM. I have attached a picture of the errors. Any ideas? I haven't tried anything because I am even sure what direction to go in.. I have installed CM roms before.. Right now I have the Google Edition 4.2.2 Rom from Jamal installed.
You need to update your recovery to CWM 6.0.3.3

How are you wiping the cache partition? Custom recoveries and ROMs can not be used on AT&T MF3.
this is a known issue with stock recovery on all S4's. some users have no issue with the recovery on one version and then this exact issue after a software update. i'd do some more research to see what your options are.
Yeah that's what I would like to know lol.

probably because it hasnt been updaed in GooManager to support the L720T.
I believe there is a TAR file that you can flasg via ODIN. Philz has a great recovery that works and is based on CWM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262999
check here...use ODIN 1.85 to flash the latest .tar

You can use any s4 rom I believe, but you will lose the Spark function of the T model if the rom doesn't support it.
Main thing, have a good Nandroid of your working touchwiz system, flash new rom, if you boot loop, nandroid back to your working system.
Before you install a ROM and after making a nandroid. Restore it to make sure it backed up correctly.

Make a note of your firmware and baseband as you may need to reflash to the correct firmware in order to have the best experience. I'm still on MK5. I have decided to be patient and wait. The spark is very noticeable compared to my s3 (i had).
Hello, I've looked around for a solution to this with no joy. I managed to root my note 3 with no problem with cf autoroot only to find that I still had a stock recovery.
I tried other methods also and I just cannot get a custom recovery to flash on my device.
When I try to flash a cwm via Odin it leaves me in a bootloop.
Any ideas?
Its the SM-N9005 Model
Thanks

are you flashing the correct recovery version for your OS version? 4.3 recovery wont work on 4.4.2 and 4.4.2 recovery wont work on 4.3

Tried CWM or TWRP?
Yes i did state that

You mentioned cwm but not twrp ( unless I missed it ). I linked cwm just to make sure you used the one proven to work with 4.4.2 as you didn't mention exactly which one you used and I believe there are other cwm variants ( phil's touch, original cwm ). If my attempt to help isn't appreciated, a simple yes or no would suffice. I know how to read.
